Simultaneously traversing: the pinnacle of all realms

Chapter 18 School Opening in Progress

While Hogwarts was still in session, Xavier began to train his body and learn magical spells.

Incidentally, he also tried to learn as much science as possible—mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology… He didn't want to graduate from Hogwarts seven years later as someone who was illiterate in a sense. Unfortunately, the internet wasn't widespread in Britain in 1991, and there wasn't a good way to access much knowledge.

He had been thinking of following the proper steps... but there was no denying that Xavier was indeed interested in magic.

After all, this is magic!

In the following period, Xavier drew many conclusions.

First, there's his physical fitness. Because of the sharing mechanism, his endurance and strength are comparable to those of some ordinary adults.

I get up at 6:30 every morning and practice some martial arts based on the memories I shared from my other two world selves. Although I don't have internal energy, it's more than enough to deal with ordinary people.

Running a few kilometers around the community and doing dozens of push-ups and sit-ups is no longer a difficult task for him.

Furthermore, Xavier discovered something else: just as those with Veela blood possess extraordinary charm, he also possessed certain abilities.

It's similar to Rainbow Cat's Deer Choice ability, although it's not very obvious yet.

She was free from debuffs, possessed heightened senses, and had an occasional sixth sense… like sensing which leaf was about to fall, or that her mother, Beth, would emerge from the door a few seconds later. The feeling was hard to describe; it was like a blurry image suddenly flashing through her mind, or an indescribable, mysterious presence in the air.

At first, he thought it was a coincidence, but when this happened repeatedly—he could tell in advance that the floor tile under his feet was loose, he could guess what his father was going to say before he even opened his mouth, and once inexplicably pulled his mother around a shelf in the supermarket, and the next second several bottles of ketchup on that shelf inexplicably rolled down and crashed down—he finally became convinced that this was definitely not just ordinary intuition.

"Cures all diseases, understands cause and effect, and turns misfortune into good fortune..."

This is Rainbow Cat's ability to choose.

Moreover, my body's recovery ability is much stronger. The wounds on my hands heal in a morning and scab off in a day.

Even if it's because children's cells divide faster, it shouldn't be this fast.

This is also an advantage, as he can spend more time training without worrying about injuring his body.

While others needed a long rest to recover from muscle soreness after training, he only needed a few hours. As a result, the intensity of his training steadily increased, and he silently compared his physical fitness with that of his peers—although he hadn't seen many wizards his age, he judged by common sense that he was definitely monstrous.

Xavier knew that magic itself could enhance a wizard's physical abilities.

After all, wizards are indeed not the same species as ordinary humans, so it's no wonder that some wizards support the pure-blood theory.

Without using magic, a wizard could probably easily suppress ordinary people with just his physical body.

Just like the centenarian Dumbledore, who moves with incredible speed and can take on five opponents at once with his wand, he could easily cosplay as the melee mage Gandalf—

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings do exist in this world, and they are quite famous. Xavier himself has a set of illustrated books, which Beth bought for him when he was a child. He read those books over and over again when he was young.

He had reason to suspect that Tolkien might have had access to some information about the magical world.

(The term "Hobbit" appears only once in the entire Harry Potter series, in the first chapter of *Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire*, "Riddle Hall." In the Hanged Manor in Little Hangleton, when the villagers are discussing Frank Bryce, the mysterious caretaker of Riddle Hall, a village woman mentions it to another woman named Dort. This demonstrates that Tolkien's work is widely known within the Muggle community of the Harry Potter universe.)

During Nave's flight lesson, he fell from a height of several meters and only broke one arm... For an ordinary child, falling from that height would probably result in more than just a broken arm.

Clearly, the wizard's physical strength has exceeded that of a normal human.

Moreover, according to Xavier's deduction, a wizard with powerful magic would, barring any unforeseen circumstances, also have significantly stronger magic resistance.

In the original storyline, when the fake Moody (Barty Crouch Jr.) was teaching the students the three Unforgivable Curses, he mentioned that even if Harry and the others attacked him with the Killing Curse, he would only bleed a little from the nose at most.

While it's possible that Harry and other fourth-year students didn't possess enough magical power to successfully cast the spell...

On the other hand, it also shows that powerful adult wizards like Barty have stronger magic power and therefore stronger magic resistance, which can offset a certain degree of magical damage.

Therefore, it's not impossible that the first headmaster of Gryffindor at Hogwarts, wielding a wand and a greatsword, and wearing armor, could charge in and out of enemy ranks seven times over...

But upon closer examination, this melee ability might be the last resort for survival when magic fails or mana is depleted.

Xavier wrote down this idea in his notebook, which was filled with his analysis and speculations on various magical phenomena.

He didn't want to be just a passive recipient of knowledge. Since he knew many of the rules of this world in advance, it would be a real waste not to make good use of them.

It was another morning. After a simple morning exercise, Xavier had breakfast with his parents and, as usual, hugged them goodbye.

They're going to work; that's what adults are like.

Fortunately, their workweek is less than forty hours. So they still have time to spend more time with Xavier, who is about to start boarding school.

After seeing his parents off, Xavier returned to his room and began practicing his magic spells as usual.

Of course, these are just simple and harmless spells, such as—

"Yugadimurleviosa!"

The books on the table floated up quietly, no longer flying away with a "whoosh" like before.

"Restored to its original state!"

The tattered newspapers began to come together, restoring them to their original state. He wouldn't waste these newspapers; he could tear them up again and practice with them later.

"Flames are raging!"

Xavier specifically went to the bathroom to practice this magic. He didn't want to accidentally burn the whole house down.

Having mastered many of the spells in the first-grade textbook, Xavier had a feeling that his magical talent was quite good.

At least when learning magic, there were no situations that particularly troubled Xavier.

As for high-risk magic like Transfiguration, Xavier kept his distance and dutifully heeded the school's warnings—the textbooks clearly stated, "Do not attempt without a teacher's guidance."

Furthermore, Xavier has no intention of actively learning magical spells that could have negative consequences, such as the three Unforgivable Curses.

Aside from being more cruel, to be honest, these three Unforgivable Curses are far less attractive to Xavier than other spells, and the same goes for their power.

He was more interested in magic that could create, repair, and improve lives.

For example, the Transfiguration Charm can turn a stone into bread—although only temporarily; another example is the Patronus Charm, which represents the power to fight against despair itself and the embodiment of happy memories.

And it was time for Hogwarts to start its school year.

Beth had checked Xavier's suitcase many times, always worried that he hadn't packed everything.

Xavier touched the illustrated Hobbit book hidden in a compartment of his suitcase, a slight smile playing on his lips.

He knew he was about to step into a completely different world, where the rules, relationships, and even the logic of survival were entirely different from what he had experienced in the past eleven years. But at least for now, this morning, he was just a child about to leave home for boarding school, with worried parents and a warm home.
