A figure stood silently in front of the clown demon, blocking his path.

That's Cangying's shadow clone!

"Hello, hello, my name is Laplace. You've been blocking my way for so long, can't you at least say something?"

Laplace made funny clown gestures, but Soukei on the other side still seemed unwilling to pay him any attention.

"Holy crap, what is this demon brother waiting for? Is this supposed to be your skill?"

Cang Yingying's clone kept her arms crossed, not really wanting to deal with this clueless guy.

"Don't be so cold! Little demon brother, I know you're waiting for your true form to come over, I'll be waiting."

The piercing sound continued.

Laslas didn't give up his quirky remarks; instead, he circled around Soeying's shadow clone.

"Oh, come on, little demon brother, don't be so cold. I see you're quite strong. Have you considered serving the Demon King? He's the Demon King, you know!"

.....

Ugh, so annoying!

The veins on Cangying's shadow clone's forehead bulged, because the sensations here could be transmitted to his main body through the clone.

This guy is so long-winded, and what's with all those weird gestures he keeps making?

Cangying really wanted to wrap the silk thread around this guy's neck several times, or better yet, strangle this annoying fellow to death.

Just then, Cangying's clone made a move. He looked up in a certain direction and sensed something.

"Oh, so your true form has already arrived?"

Laplace saw that the clone finally moved, and he guessed what it was.

Following the clone's gaze, a tall, cold figure slowly emerged from the shadows ahead.

However, to Laplace's surprise, there was a small blue sprite on the shoulder of the creature that had appeared.

Laplace couldn't sense any magical fluctuations from the little sprite; he thought it was the demon's mascot.

"Come back!"

Cangying spoke calmly to the clone in front of him, and the clone immediately transformed into a shadow and merged into his body.

"Hello, hello!"

"Sir, you must be the ghost who's been following me these past few days!"

Laplace seemed pleased to see the person in question and took the initiative to speak.

"So verbose!"

Cangying ignored the clown demon and simply uttered two words to him.

Laplace was suddenly extremely embarrassed and didn't know what to say next.

"Could this little demon be from the Great Demon Village? But I don't remember there being any high-ranking demons in the Great Demon Village."

Seeing that the other person looked like he didn't want to talk to him, Laplace shamelessly changed the subject.

"snort!"

Laplace was fine until he mentioned the Great Demon Village, at which point Souei's expression immediately turned murderous.

"You're asking for death! Wasn't it you and the Pig-Headed Clan who wiped out the Great Ghost Village?"

Laplace said with an indifferent expression.

"This world is a dog-eat-dog world, and I wasn't the one who wiped out your village!"

Laplace was a little surprised; this ghost really did come from the Great Ghost Village.

He also had many questions in his mind. He had heard from another companion that the tens of thousands of troops they had led to destroy the Great Ghost Village had not yet returned.

Laplace also witnessed the horrific scene at the scene; the Great Ghost Village had been transformed into a frozen hell.

The Great Ghost Village was indeed destroyed, but the ten thousand pig-headed tribesmen were also frozen there permanently without any trace of life.

He only glanced at it briefly before hurriedly leaving; the scene was simply terrifying.

Laplace now strongly suspects that the ethereal figure before him is the one who created that scene.

Then he had to be careful. Laplace was waiting in place to see who this unknown powerhouse was.

What happened next was Soukage and a little sprite?

"Could you tell me...?"

Cangying no longer wanted to hear Laplace's nonsense, and his usual calm demeanor vanished.

"[Thread Control] Activated!"

With a simple gesture, Cangying conjured countless white, steel-wire-like threads that tightly wrapped around Laplace's body, even encircling his neck several times.

These threads were pulled taut, and Laplace's clothes, which were wrapped around them, were torn into strips.

"Hmph, may they be buried with my fallen kin!"

Cangying hooked a taut thread with her finger, and the tangled threads contracted tightly and were pulled taut.

But Laplace on the other side didn't react at all; instead, he looked at the cold-blooded Cangying with a smile.

Apart from the clothes being torn, there was no blood seeping from the surface of the skin.

"Your attack won't hurt me!"

Laplace simply swung his blade a few times, severing the thin, wire-like threads.

"Swish~ swish"

Cangying's expression changed slightly. What kind of body was this? Even his [Steel Wire Cut] couldn't hurt it.

Gransta sighed inwardly as he looked at the unusually calm Cangying, knowing that there was still a certain difference in their magical power.

"Let Soei vent his emotions; perhaps the death of his kin is also a source of pain for him..."

Gransta wasn't worried about Soue's safety. After all, with him here, it was good to let Soue unleash his combat potential.

He flapped the transparent wings on his back and came into the air, leaving the battlefield to the two of them.

A thought echoed in Cangying's mind, causing him to nod in the direction of Lord Gransta.

Laplace stared suspiciously in Gransta's direction, muttering to himself.

"This ghost's attitude towards this little elf seems a bit submissive, could it be...?"

Before Laplace could think any further, several more attacks came hurtling towards him.

"[Ice Blade] [Shadow Clone]..."

Cangying split into twelve shadow clones that surrounded Laplace and simultaneously activated the [Ice Blade] magic skill.

"Huh, this is ice magic, could he really be...?"

Laplace didn't take it lightly and immediately spun his body, deflecting each of the incoming ice blades.

After blocking these skills, he wanted to get closer, but he hesitated when he saw the twelve shadow clones in front of him.

Is that real?

Laplace then flashed behind these shadow clones in quick succession, his speed almost like teleportation.

"Bang~ Bang~"

One of the blows landed on Cangying, sending him flying backwards close to the ground.

"But you're still so weak!"

(I'm speechless! The book has been going through the approval process for the past two days. Tomato (the author) is so strict with fanfiction! It almost got taken down, and I was devastated. But thankfully, it passed the review!)

(I added a chapter after the one in front of me.)
