Chapter 33 Getting Back on Track
Rimuru and his group finally arrived safely at the village. Although they had only been away for a few days, it felt like a long-awaited return.
"Look! Lord Rimuru is back!"
Upon hearing this, the goblins immediately swarmed over, bursting into enthusiastic welcome and cheers. At that moment, Gobuta was riding a wolf, his face beaming with pride.
Today, the village has grown quite large, but unfortunately, apart from the vast open spaces, the only buildings that can be considered aesthetically pleasing are the few igloos located in the center.
"So you all live in igloos like this! Lord Rimuru, it's much more rudimentary than we imagined!"
Kajin and the three dwarf brothers stared at the incredibly simple village before them, realizing that they faced a tremendous challenge right from their arrival.
"Haha, Kaijin, we'll be relying on you guys a lot more from now on."
Rimuru gave an awkward smile; after all, it was rather embarrassing to let others see such a dilapidated village.
Unfortunately, goblins are not good at technical work. Granstas was right; professional tasks still need to be handled by professionals.
"Lord Rimuru, please give us your orders! This is a huge challenge for us, but the thought of it fills me with excitement!"
"Yes!" ✘3
The three dwarf brothers looked at each other in bewilderment.
Rimuru was relieved after hearing what the dwarves said.
Then he introduced Kaijin and the three dwarf brothers to the goblins in the village one by one.
The most pressing tasks at present are undoubtedly to quickly produce enough clothing, build comfortable houses, and create a batch of practical tools.
"Lord Rimuru, please rest assured! We will definitely follow Master Kejin closely and study diligently!"
The goblins were all overjoyed, knowing they absolutely could not disappoint Lord Rimuru's high expectations.
They made guarantees one by one.
Rimuru watched the goblins with a sense of satisfaction, and then arranged for Kaijin to lead some of the goblins to carry out teaching work.
Just then, Ligurd strode over, seemingly having something important to report, and looked quite anxious.
"Lord Rimuru, you're finally back! There's something here that urgently requires your final decision..."
Regulus knelt on one knee before Rimuru and respectfully reported the relevant matters to him.
Rimuru listened carefully to Rigurd's report and understood what had happened these past few days.
"Ligurd, take me to see... these goblins who have come to us."
"Yes, sir!"
Rigurd nodded respectfully and led the way for Rimuru.
They soon arrived at an igloo, and Rimuru was surprised when he took a closer look.
Inside were several small, weak goblins, probably several dozen at a glance.
However, judging from how frozen they all looked, it must be because they haven't evolved.
Ha, you can't even stand this little bit of cold!
Just as Rimuru was wondering how to speak, the goblins suddenly knelt down before him.
"My great sir, we have a request, and we beg you to grant it."
A group of goblins shouted at him.
"Hmm, you guys go first."
Rimuru could roughly guess what they wanted to say.
"Yes! Thank you very much! We hope to become your subordinates!"
One of the goblin chieftains spoke on behalf of the group. The others around him nodded in agreement.
"Please grant my request!"
With an expectant look in his eyes, the goblin chieftain lay down on the ground once more.
Hey!
Rimuru suddenly felt a headache coming on.
Their village had just embarked on a path of prosperity and development, and they simply didn't have time to deal with these guys.
But these goblins also had a very difficult time surviving, which is why they came here. They heard that there was a goblin village here that was protected by two gods and lived a very good life.
That's when they had this idea.
You should know that the entire Jura Great Forest is inhabited by the Pig-Headed Tribe, the Lizard-Man Tribe, and... the Great Demon Tribe, all of whom secretly covet the hegemony of the entire forest.
The already weak Goblin race is no match for these powerful races; they can only be ravaged by them.
Erimuru couldn't bear to see the weak being bullied, so he decided to ask how many of them there were first.
The answer he received surprised Rimuru greatly.
"What! You have 500 people?"
"Yes, we beg you, sir, to take us in!"
It all comes down to this one sentence.
Rimuru was also taken aback by the number. Their village only had less than 200 goblins, and suddenly so many more were added.
"Wait a moment, I need to discuss this with Gransta. You should know that this village wasn't established by me alone."
"I don't have the authority to make decisions unilaterally either."
The goblins nodded. They already knew that there was another very powerful god in this village, and their posture became even more respectful.
Rimuru decided to bring Gransta back before making a decision, so he took out a Teleport Cube, infused it with magic, and threw it into the air.
A blue vortex slowly formed, and soon a small blue figure flew out, immediately spotting Rimuru.
"Rimuru, you finally decided to let me come back. You must have run into some trouble!"
The teasing yet familiar voice reached everyone's ears.
Doesn't Gransta know Rimuru well enough? There must be something he needs to deal with that's why he was sent back.
Rimuru rolled his eyes in exasperation upon hearing Gransta's words, then gestured with his lip toward the kneeling goblin, as if to say, "Go ahead and watch."
Granstas turned his gaze to a group of goblins kneeling on the ground, dressed in various styles, who were looking at him with disbelief.
This is simply a miracle!
Gulansta raised his handsome eyebrows, somewhat confused as to what had happened.
Seemingly sensing Gransta's confusion, the goblin chieftain repeated what he had said to Rimuru.
最后
"Please, gentlemen, take us in!"
It seems like this is the only thing they can say given their intelligence.
After a moment of silence, Gransta stopped looking at the goblins and instead turned his gaze to Rimuru beside him.
His expression was a bit strange.
"Rimuru, you already have a plan for how to deal with them, don't you? You probably called me here so I could establish some authority among them!"
"Am I right or not!"
Rimuru didn't deny it, and shrugged. Gransta was as clever as ever, immediately guessing his intentions.
"Haha, Gransta, I didn't expect you to think of that so quickly. After all, you're the second-in-command of our village, aren't you?"
It can only be said that no one knows Rimuru better than Granstas.
