Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 76, 4th Warrior
Thursday finally arrived.
To this day, no young wizard at Hogwarts has been able to break through Kevin's wall of fire.
Most of the upperclassmen at Hogwarts gave up on registering, and students from other schools couldn't break Kevin's firewall either, so they didn't feel ashamed at all.
This is one of Kevin's plans.
He directly replaces Cedric in the original storyline, becoming a champion of Hogwarts to compete.
As for the age limit, Kevin thinks it's a piece of cake.
In order to break through this particular isolation spell, he studied the isolation spell for most of the holiday.
He intends to use technology to directly bypass Dumbledore's restrictions.
Who isn't a genius with a magical talent?
He might not be as good as the opponent in actual combat, but he is very confident in his talent for spellcasting.
After the last class on Thursday afternoon, the young wizards rushed to the Great Hall, eager to see how Kevin planned to break through the age barrier.
Led by the twins, all the little lions at Gryffindor were cheering for Kevin.
Even other houses like Eagle and Badger joined in.
Because they are all Hogwarts students, Kevin's strength makes them look good in front of their friends from other schools.
Ron and Harry were also encouraging Kevin, believing he could surpass Dumbledore's age limit.
Hermione, on the other hand, seemed quite calm. Apart from Professor Snape, she was probably the one who knew Kevin's abilities best.
Kevin waved his magic spell, gathering the lava fire that had been burning for several days into a fire dragon.
The fire dragon crashed through the window, soared into the sky, and finally exploded in the air, as dazzling as fireworks.
Then Kevin waved his hand again, and the shattered window was restored to its original state.
These two moves once again shocked the students present.
How could this guy be so outrageous when they're both students?
Kevin then walked up to the age line, raised his wand, and aimed it at the swaying white line.
Silently chanting the incantation, I focused intently on penetrating this age line.
Dumbledore, who was eating candy in his office, seemed to sense something and went to the window to look in the direction of the Great Hall.
"Has Severus been secretly giving this kid some extra training again, hiding it from me?"
Dumbledore sighed helplessly. He could feel his spell being eroded little by little and would soon dissipate.
Sure enough, after a short while, the age line outside the Goblet of Fire trembled violently and shattered, dissipating into countless tiny specks.
"OHHHHHHHH!!"
The group of young wizards cheered enthusiastically!
Kevin actually succeeded and broke Dumbledore's restrictions!
This is a barrier personally set up by the greatest wizard of this century!
Kevin smiled, as expected.
He also contributed his name to the Goblet of Fire.
He didn't resist the Goblet of Fire at all, and he successfully enrolled.
After doing all this, Kevin gave Hermione a smug peace sign.
Hermione gave him a charmingly glare and smiled indulgently.
The twins were very excited and went straight to Kevin's side, grabbing his legs and lifting him up.
"Kevin! Kevin! Kevin!"
They shouted loudly, and Harry Ron and the other young wizards joined in.
"Kevin! Kevin! Kevin!"
Kevin didn't disappoint everyone's enthusiasm. With a wave of his hands, a bunch of magical fireworks flew out, and the whole hall was instantly filled with the festive atmosphere!
Kevin sat on the twins' shoulders, enjoying everyone's celebration, and occasionally made a funny face at Hermione with a smug look.
Hermione laughed frequently, but she didn't interrupt Kevin's enjoyment of the revelry.
Dumbledore appeared outside the meeting hall and watched this scene unfold.
"This is youth."
Dumbledore smiled and then disappeared.
Just as everyone finished celebrating, a few people walked into the hall.
It was Durmstrang's men, led by Krum, who had also come to register.
He noticed that the firewall and age line had disappeared.
Krum walked over to Kevin and asked, "Did you successfully register?"
Kevin nodded. He didn't give Krum a bad look because Krum liked Hermione, which showed that he had good taste, but he had no chance.
Hermione can only be mine!
"If I get selected, I'll look forward to competing against you."
Krum nodded. He acknowledged Kevin's strength and wanted to defeat Kevin to prove himself.
The Triwizard Tournament isn't some boring competition about using fire walls to block people; it's a comprehensive magical contest.
Karkaroff, who was behind Krum, didn't give Kevin a friendly look, as he considered Kevin a very big threat.
However, in the end, he just snorted coldly.
Krum didn't say anything more. After throwing his name into the Goblet of Fire, he tried to glance at Hermione, but Kevin blocked his view, so he couldn't see her at all.
Ha, you think you can peek at my Hermione? No way!
......
It wasn't until evening, when registration ended, that the exciting announcement finally arrived.
The professors who arrived saw that the firewall and age line had disappeared, and they knew that Kevin must have succeeded.
Professor McGonagall secretly gave Kevin a thumbs up.
Professor Snape nodded in satisfaction.
"Everyone, quiet down."
"Now comes the moment everyone's been waiting for: the Warriors' selection!"
Dumbledore stood beside the Goblet of Fire and addressed the group of wizards.
Once everyone was seated and quiet, Dumbledore reached out and stroked the Goblet of Fire, then waved his hand, and the blue flame on the Goblet of Fire suddenly turned red.
A piece of parchment with slight burn marks flew out.
"The warrior of Durmstrang is Viktor Krum!"
Dumbledore looked at the note and read it aloud.
Durmstrang's students cheered and congratulated Krum, and even the usually composed Krum couldn't help but clench his fist in excitement.
Everyone applauded for Krum, congratulating him on becoming the first warrior.
Krum came out, shook hands with Dumbledore, and told him to go to the trophy display room to wait.
Immediately, the Goblet of Fire turned red again, and a paper strip that looked like a flower flew out.
"The warrior of Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour!"
Another cheer erupted as Fleur walked up and shook hands with Dumbledore before heading to the trophy display room.
The Goblet of Fire sent out one last note.
Although everyone knew the answer, they held their breath, waiting for Dumbledore to formally pronounce the name.
"Finally, the champion of Hogwarts is Kevin!"
As Dumbledore's voice faded, all the young wizards erupted in cheers and applause that had been just moments before.
Ron and Harry were also very happy for Kevin and patted him on the shoulder.
Kevin winked at Hermione, and Hermione smiled back. Finally, Kevin walked up to her amidst cheers from the crowd.
Dumbledore also grasped Kevin's hand and murmured, "Satisfied now?"
"It's alright, haha."
Kevin smiled and then walked toward the trophy display room.
Upon entering, Krum was staring thoughtfully at the fireplace flames, while Fleur curiously examined the trophies in the trophy display room.
Upon seeing Kevin enter, Krum nodded to him as a greeting.
Furong looked at Kevin with curiosity; even her principal was surprised by the little boy's strength.
Kevin waved to the two of them as a greeting, then sat down on the sofa by the fireplace and waited leisurely.
After a while, it suddenly became noisy outside. Harry walked in, looking bewildered and holding a piece of paper.
Krum and Fleur were both very puzzled. Wasn't Kevin the only one who signed up for Hogwarts?
They looked at Kevin, seemingly hoping for an explanation.
Kevin pretended to know nothing about it.
Harry walked up to Kevin, looking puzzled, and was just about to ask him something.
Several principals, Old Barty, and a group of professors quickly walked in from outside.
"Kevin, has Harry ever broken your curse?"
Dumbledore went straight up to Kevin and asked seriously.
"Without Professor, I guarantee that no student at Hogwarts has ever broken my spell, Harry included."
"Harry was chosen as a champion too?" Kevin asked knowingly.
However, Dumbledore ignored him and turned to look at Harry.
"Harry, you didn't ask an older person to put your name in the Goblet of Fire for you, did you?"
Dumbledore asked Harry with a serious expression.
"No! Professor!" Harry quickly shook his head.
"I've stopped everyone from Hogwarts, so who can Harry ask to help him vote? It can't be someone from another school, can it?" Kevin countered Dumbledore's question.
"Impossible! Your Hogwarts is definitely cheating! Both your spells and this brat's spells can be secretly activated for their own people!"
Karkaroff, standing nearby, shouted that it was unfair: "I demand that my school also receive an additional warrior!"
"Quiet! You're making it impossible for me to think!"
Dumbledore called out, then looked at Kevin: "Kevin, you didn't vote for Harry, did you?"
"Of course not. I said I was the only one who signed up for Hogwarts, and Harry also made it clear that he wasn't interested in the Triwizard Tournament. I believe him."
Kevin put his arm around Harry's shoulder and said calmly, standing firmly by Harry's side.
"And think about it, what if Harry actually put his name in?"
"Then only one of me and Harry should be selected."
"It's clear that someone other than a student, representing a fourth party, voted Harry's name in."
"Harry is definitely innocent. Someone is trying to frame Harry and kill him in the Triwizard Tournament."
Kevin continued, directly absolving Harry of any involvement and portraying him as the victim.
Moody narrowed his eyes slightly in the crowd.
Dumbledore had also thought of this. The Goblet of Fire was extremely powerful, and someone must have used a powerful Confusion Charm to create a fourth force so that Harry could participate with 100% certainty.
The others, upon hearing Kevin's words, also began to think about it; they had all heard of Harry Potter.
It seems reasonable that someone would want to kill the guy who drove the mysterious man to the brink of despair.
Harry, standing nearby, was also stunned. "Huh? I'd rather be a cheater than have someone want to kill me..."
Professor McGonagall stated firmly, "Harry cannot participate in the competition."
"No, he has to participate..."
Old Barty's voice rang out.
"The rules are absolute."
"The choice of the Goblet of Fire is bound by magic, and Mr. Potter had no choice."
"Starting tonight, he will be the fourth warrior in the Triwizard Tournament."
Everyone looked at Harry Potter, who seemed a little bewildered.
Kevin replied, "Yay!"
"Harry, when I'm the champion and you're the runner-up, I'll let you touch the trophy too."
Kevin nudged Harry, looking like he was enjoying the drama.
Harry rolled his eyes, but also breathed a sigh of relief.
With Kevin around, he felt at ease.
