Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 57 Professor Lu Ping's Showdown

Harry spent a day in the infirmary and fully recovered. The next day, after class, they went together to Professor Lupin's office to see him.

Good afternoon, Professor Lupin.

"Good afternoon, students. Harry, I heard you were attacked by Dementors yesterday. Are you alright?"

When Professor Lu Ping saw the group of children suddenly arrive, he didn't know why, but he still greeted them warmly.

However, Harry and the others could still tell that Professor Lupin's expression didn't seem too good.

He looked a bit haggard, which confirmed that he was indeed a werewolf and was very weak after just turning back.

"It's alright, Professor. We heard you haven't been feeling well these past few days either?"

"It's nothing, don't worry." Professor Lu Ping smiled.

It seemed the two were planning to exchange pleasantries for a while, but Kevin cut straight to the point.

"Excuse me, Professor Lu Ping, we actually came today because we have something we'd like to ask you."

"About Sirius."

Kevin stared at Professor Lupin and said.

Professor Lupin was also taken aback, not expecting Kevin to suddenly ask him about this. He had never mentioned to anyone that he knew Sirius Black.

Kevin nudged Harry, urging him to say a few words as well.

Harry, disregarding pleasantries, went straight to the point.

"Professor Lupin, I have heard that Sirius betrayed my parents and caused their deaths, but he was once a friend of my parents."

"You're also a friend of my parents, you must know him! Did you see him a couple of days ago? Do you know what happened back then? Did he really betray my parents!?"

Harry sounded very anxious and asked several questions at once.

"Who told you all this?"

Professor Lupin's tone was somewhat complicated and wary; he hadn't expected Harry to already know about what happened back then.

"Dumbledore," Kevin said calmly.

Professor Lupin was relieved to hear that it was Dumbledore who said it.

It seems that Dumbledore hopes these children can find out the truth about what happened back then.

"Professor Lupin, the Headmaster himself doesn't believe Sirius would betray Harry's parents. We're here to ask you to find out the truth," Kevin said calmly.

"If you really know anything, I hope you can tell us."

Harry also asked Professor Lupin anxiously.

Professor Lupin looked at Harry, took a deep breath, and finally sighed, "I'm sorry, Harry, actually I don't know the truth about what happened back then either. Nobody knows."

"I do know Sirius. We were both friends of your parents back then, very good friends."

"So I can be absolutely certain that Sirius Black, he would never betray your parents, absolutely never!"

At this point, Professor Lu Ping spoke with great certainty and conviction. He stood up, as if he wanted to loudly prove his friend's innocence.

But in the end, she sat back down in her chair, covered her forehead, and said weakly, "But... I have no evidence... to prove Sirias's innocence."

"I didn't expect him to escape from prison this time, but he didn't contact me, so I can't provide you with any information."

Harry took a deep breath. He already knew what he wanted. Dumbledore was right; Professor Lupin hadn't let Sirius in.

Professor Lu Ping is trustworthy.

Is Sirius, whom Professor Lupin firmly believes in, also trustworthy?

Harry didn't intend to think about this question anymore; he would have to wait for Sirius to appear before these questions would be answered.

However, he wanted to ask a few more questions.

"Professor, if you believe Sirius Black is innocent, then how do you think Voldemort found my parents back then?"

"I...don't know..." Professor Lupin said, a hint of dejection in his voice.

"I was working elsewhere at the time, while James and Lily went into hiding to avoid Voldemort. Nobody knew where they were except for the Secret Service, who was under a spell."

"Sirius, he is the secret agent. But Sirius would never betray a friend! Not even at the cost of his life! I am absolutely certain of that!"

"Later, the people from the Ministry of Magic said that Sirius had killed thirteen Muggles, as well as his good friend, Peter Pettigrew, who was also killed, leaving only a finger. With such bloody evidence before them, Sirius was arrested as a traitor and murderer..."

If that's the case, then Sirius Black is indeed the only suspect.

Harry nodded, indicating that he understood; the information was actually quite similar to what Dumbledore had given him.

The only new term is Peter the dwarf, who is already dead.

It cannot be used as any clue.

But through this incident, Harry felt relieved, and he no longer harbored such hatred towards Sirius.

Because he believed in those who were willing to believe in Sirius.

But we've come full circle, and only Sirius knows everything that happened back then.

"Harry, I believe Sirius wouldn't hurt you. He must have some reason for returning to Hogwarts."

"So don't worry, he will definitely show up, and then we'll ask him for clarification."

"What you need now is to study hard and become an excellent wizard, so that you will have the ability to change things."

After Harry finished asking his question, Professor Lupin spoke seriously to Harry.

If we can find Sirius Black, this farce can end immediately.

Harry was clearly in a much better mood by the end.

Sirius Black was no longer a burden on her heart; instead, she began to look forward to seeing him.

Finally, they said goodbye to Professor Lupin without mentioning the werewolves.

Everyone perked up; they still had their studies to worry about.

Christmas is just around the corner, and the weather is getting cooler. This year, all the young wizards are staying at Hogwarts for Christmas.

The school also started setting up some decorations in advance.

After talking with Professor Lupin, Kevin went to see Dumbledore alone to explain the situation so that they could keep an eye on things.

Reporting everything to the big boss is always beneficial.

He also asked Dumbledore if he had found any trace of Sirius, but Dumbledore didn't know where Sirius was either.

Indeed, being able to escape Azkaban and continue hiding afterward, he must have some skill.

It's worth mentioning that because no winged creature attacks occurred during the Magical Creatures Protection Class as seen in the movies, the Ministry of Magic did not sentence Buckbeak to death.

Everything was peaceful on Hagrid's side, and the group would visit him there whenever they had free time.

After being trained by Hagrid, Norber the little dragon had already started running around playing in the Forbidden Forest; after all, it was impossible to keep a dragon locked up forever.

This Christmas, everyone planned to spend the holiday together at Hagrid's cabin, and Hagrid was naturally very happy to welcome them.

So Kevin took out the tent he had used before and set it up right next to Hagrid's cabin.

Draco, having somehow gotten wind of the news, eagerly came to join the fun, even criticizing the others for not inviting him.

Kevin replied, "You're always holed up in Slytherin, how are you going to invite me?"

With the first snowfall, the Christmas atmosphere has officially begun.
