Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 227 Reencounter with Gropp

Harry had thought that without external threats, his final year at Hogwarts would be very happy and fulfilling.

Good news, it was indeed very fulfilling.

The bad news is that his busy schedule is making him very unhappy.

Because Harry chose to study five of the most demanding and fulfilling courses: Charms, Potions, Herbalism, Dark Arts, and Transfiguration.

Harry's future aspiration is to join the Ministry of Magic and become an Auror.

The hard requirement for this profession is five Newt certificates, and four of them must be certificates in Charms, Potions, Black Magic, and Polymorph.

So Harry had no choice but to choose Herbalism, which he excelled at, in addition to the four subjects he already had, to make a total of five subjects.

This resulted in him having endless classes and homework every day.

Of course, half of the assignments were Kevin's papers.

Ron was similar; his future aspirations were also to become an Auror, so he studied as hard as Harry every day.

As for Rich Goddard, he was truly enjoying life, studying only when he felt like it, and he would occasionally bother Harry and Ron, affecting their studies.

Then there's Hermione, the academic genius. Don't be fooled by her intelligence; she spends more time studying than Harry and Ron combined.

Kevin teaches two or three classes a day, thanks to the pace of teaching he had adapted to in the previous two years.

Even now, having taken over the most crucial group of students—those in grades 5, 6, and 7—Kevin hasn't been overwhelmed.

Moreover, managing older students is much simpler than managing younger ones. They are more self-disciplined and won't do anything as outrageous as freshmen if you're not careful.

It is worth mentioning our Mr. Neville Longbottom.

As is well known, he had already demonstrated exceptional talent in herbal medicine several years ago.

This year, Professor Sprout even invited Neville to be her greenhouse assistant, and asked him to stay at Hogwarts as a herbology teaching assistant after graduating from seventh grade.

She can retire once Neville is able to perform the duties of professor of herbalism on his own, and Neville can become the next professor of herbalism.

Neville readily accepted Professor Sprout's invitation, suggesting that the two had discussed it beforehand.

Thus, Neville became a prospective professor at Hogwarts and Kevin's future colleague.

To be honest, Kevin would be very happy to stay at the university as a teacher and have an old classmate by his side if he stayed on as a student.

Unfortunately, Hermione isn't here; she's also joining the Ministry of Magic, and it seems she has big ambitions, with her sights set on the Division of Law Enforcement.

Kevin naturally supported this.

Don't be fooled by Hermione's seemingly fragile and delicate demeanor when she's with Kevin; it's only because Kevin steals the spotlight from her when they're together.

Under normal circumstances, she is a true career woman.

They will definitely be able to make a name for themselves in the Ministry of Magic.

Even if things go wrong, with Kevin backing her up, it won't be a big problem if she fails.

......

Time flies.

Christmas is here in the blink of an eye.

This Christmas, Kevin and his friends chose to stay at Hogwarts instead of going home.

After all, this was their last Christmas at Hogwarts.

For some reason, there are unusually few people staying on campus this year.

Besides them, there were only a few junior wizards and a few professors who remained at the school.

However, they were happy to enjoy the feeling of having the place "all to themselves".

"Hey Uncle Hagrid, Merry Christmas!"

In the afternoon, Kevin and his friends wandered over to Hagrid's cabin and decided to chat with him.

Hagrid seems to be doing quite well lately.

"Oh, it's you all, Merry Christmas, children."

Hagrid was looking at a letter in his hand, smiling, but no one knew what was written in it.

Upon seeing Kevin and the others, he hurriedly folded the letter and stuffed it into his clothes, greeting them somewhat awkwardly.

"Huh? Hagrid, what are you looking at like you're doing something wrong?"

Harry immediately noticed Hagrid's odd behavior and asked curiously.

"Sigh, children shouldn't meddle in adult matters."

Hagrid cleared his throat, turned his head away, and didn't intend to share it with Harry.

Harry and the others exchanged glances, realizing that something was amiss.

Especially Hagrid's unnatural expression, as if he were lost in thought about something, with a strange smile on his face.

Hmm, why does it sound like she's in heat...?

If I remember correctly, Hagrid was also present at Bill and Fleur's wedding during the last holiday, and at that time they also saw Mrs. Maxim, whom they hadn't seen for a long time.

Could these two have taken that opportunity to take things further?

Forget it, let's not pry too much into Hagrid's privacy. After all, he doesn't have many secrets left to keep.

"Hagrid, how is Norbert now? Have you gone to see her?"

At that moment, Draco asked Hagrid.

He didn't care whether Hagrid's spring had arrived or not; he only cared about Norbert, who had been sent away a year ago.

As mentioned before, Norber is no longer suitable for captivity and must be released back into the wild.

Hagrid did find a good place for Norber, but not here.

This place is home to Hogwarts Castle. If Norbert were to settle nearby, it would attract other dragons and pose a certain threat to Hogwarts.

"Of course, don't worry Draco, Norber is doing very well now. She's a Norwegian Ridgeback, and very few creatures can harm her."

When Norbert was mentioned, Hagrid returned to normal and comforted Draco.

"Yeah, didn't Harry practice with Norbert before? She's pretty good at dealing with wizards."

Ron, who was standing nearby, suddenly laughed.

Upon hearing Ron's words, Harry's face darkened. He recalled his experience with the Goblet of Fire, where he had been the one to practice on Norbert, but instead, he had become Norbert's sparring partner.

They all burst into laughter when they talked about it.

Kevin was still chatting and laughing with the others when he suddenly caught a glimpse of something moving in the Forbidden Forest outside the window.

"Huh? Uncle Hagrid, is that Grop?"

Looking out the window, Kevin spotted a long-lost figure, or rather, a giant shadow.

Upon hearing Kevin's words, the group looked out the window and spotted the giant standing at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Grop.

"Holy crap! Where did this giant come from?!"

Draco was seeing Gropp for the first time and exclaimed in surprise.

Kevin and the others had met once, but they hadn't mentioned it since, which is why Draco didn't know.

"Oh right, Draco, I haven't introduced you to him yet, this is my brother, Gropp."

Hagrid chuckled as he got up and led everyone out of the hut, heading towards Grop.

"Hey! Groop!"

Hagrid waved happily at Grop.

Surprisingly, Grop also raised his hand and waved in response to Hagrid's call.

A closer look will reveal this.

Compared to their first meeting, Gropp is now much... how should I put it? Cleaner? Or more civilized?

Anyway, I'm no longer like I was when we first met, acting like a wild man.

It seems that Hagrid has indeed done a good job educating Gropp.
