Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 200: Aftermath and Reconciliation

Mr. Weasley was very well-connected in the Ministry of Magic, with a wide network of contacts. Not long after Kevin sent his second letter, his letter was returned.

The above contains the information Kevin needed for his two letters.

The first is the date of Bellatrix's execution, which was confirmed to be the day after Voldemort stormed the Ministry of Magic.

To be precise, Voldemort broke into the Ministry of Magic in the early morning, and Bellatrix was immediately executed when the commotion subsided in the morning.

The difference is less than half a day.

Regarding this matter, Mr. Weasley stated that he had only just learned of Bella's death from inquiries at the Department of Prisons.

As for why no one mentioned this matter, the people in the detention center said it was because the director had ordered that it not be mentioned anywhere, and they did not know the reason.

They guessed that the director probably felt ashamed that only one death row inmate remained after Voldemort's prison break.

I suspect that feeling ashamed is a pretense, and that cooperating with Voldemort is the real reason.

The second thing is even easier to find out. A simple question reveals that the dispute with Gringotts this time was indeed with Bella's vault.

According to Gringotts' feedback, Bellatrix's vault was shut down a month ago, the day after Voldemort broke into the Ministry of Magic, when Bellatrix confiscated all the treasure and cancelled the vault's operations.

Even if the Ministry of Magic wanted to investigate, it would find nothing.

Mr. Weasley also took the opportunity to explain the Ministry of Magic's procedure for sealing the vault. Normally, after Bella's death, the procedure should have been followed to obtain a death certificate and a sealing order.

Then go to Gringotts to recover all of Bella's illegal gains.

However, it has been delayed for a month now, apparently because the seizure order for Bella has not been approved.

Then, in addition, the Ministry of Magic has been very busy lately, and the Death Eaters have been inexplicably rampant for a short period of time, so this matter has been rarely mentioned and has been delayed until now.

Last but not least, Bella's body has been disposed of.

After reading Mr. Weasley's letter, Kevin and the others were basically convinced that Bella had definitely been rescued.

Although there is no direct evidence to prove it, various signs point to this possibility.

Regarding Bella, without the information provided by Lucius, Kevin and his team might not have even remembered her by the time of the final battle.

They never doubted that the last Horcrux was with Bella.

But even if we knew that now, it seems too late.

If the Horcruxes were hidden in Bella's vault, then Voldemort has already retrieved them for at least a month, and no one knows where they are now.

The clues about the last Horcrux have gone cold.

"...Sigh, the headmaster was right back then, Voldemort's infiltration of the Ministry of Magic was really just a smokescreen..."

Kevin sighed with great regret.

They were so close to the last Horcrux, but they were too late.

"Even if we know it's a smokescreen, we don't know what it was designed for."

Sirius patted Kevin on the shoulder, indicating that he shouldn't blame himself. It was Kevin who thought of asking Lucius for clues; otherwise, they wouldn't even know about this.

"It's not too late to find out now. At least we know the news and have also identified a suspicious individual from the Ministry of Magic."

"I will reassign people to track down Bella, and I will also increase manpower to monitor and investigate the Voldemort stronghold that Albus discovered in Little Hangleton."

Professor Moody, standing to the side, also said slowly, "The battle with Voldemort cannot always be smooth sailing."

Rather, it's more accurate to say that they've had it too easy before, and only now are they starting to feel like they're fighting Voldemort.

"Sirius, report this situation to Albus and let him make a decision. Also, coordinate with the Ministry of Magic and let me know if there's any further news."

Finally, Professor Moody gave Sirius a final instruction, then, leaning on his cane, strode swiftly away from the Order of the Phoenix, presumably to make some kind of deployment.

Their Order of the Phoenix has always had only one goal: to destroy Voldemort.

The key to defeating Voldemort is finding his Horcruxes.

They haven't heard anything about Horcruxes for a long time, so naturally they need to focus their efforts on Bella.

Perhaps Bella still has some clues.

As for someone of Voldemort's caliber, Dumbledore would have to investigate that personally.

Sirius nodded and began reporting to Dumbledore.

......

Afterwards, Kevin and the others returned to the lobby on the second floor, which was now their children's territory.

This is none of the children's business.

So they started chatting casually again.

"Kevin, you've tied me up, what about my luggage?"

Back on their territory, Draco finally had a chance to complain, and he said to Kevin with dissatisfaction.

"It's no big deal, just have your parents bring it over."

Kevin waved his hand dismissively and said.

"My parents don't know the location of the Order of the Phoenix. They can't find this place without Dumbledore's instructions."

As soon as Draco finished speaking, Kevin pulled out a folded piece of paper, the information inside of which was not visible.

"Here, send it with your letter. Don't open it, or the paper will spontaneously combust after you finish reading it."

Harry saw Kevin pull out the paper, which looked familiar. Suddenly, he remembered that it seemed to be the location of the Order of the Phoenix that Dumbledore had written down.

This piece of paper was given to Kevin by Dumbledore so that Kevin could recruit trusted people into the Order of the Phoenix at any time.

The implication is that it should be handed over to Lucius and his team.

"Kevin, are you going to tell them the location of the Order of the Phoenix?"

Harry asked incredulously.

Although saying this might hurt Draco's feelings, he really didn't trust Lucius.

Not just Harry, but everyone else too.

Seeing Harry's reaction, Draco realized what the note was. It was the same note he had read before, after which he could join the Order of the Phoenix.

Does Kevin's willingness to reveal the location of the Order of the Phoenix mean that he is willing to accept Malfoy as a temporary ally?

"uh-huh."

When Harry asked the question, Kevin didn't offer much explanation, but simply nodded affirmatively.

At this moment, Draco felt an unprecedented sense of belonging to this group.

He was always worried that because he was Malfoy's son, the Order of the Phoenix would be wary of him, fearing that he would leak information to his parents.

Although after spending time with everyone treating him equally and not hiding anything from him, he gradually let go of this anxiety, but it was not completely eliminated.

Now, Kevin has completely eliminated all of Draco's anxieties.

"What are you standing there for? Go write a letter."

Kevin got goosebumps looking at Draco with such a tender gaze and quickly urged him on.

Draco nodded and obediently went to write the letter.

Kevin roughly guessed what Draco was thinking, and Kevin said that Draco was really overthinking things.

Although he had some past grievances with Lucius, Kevin wasn't one to bring up old scores.

Just like when Kevin first met Lucius, Lucius insulted Hermione, and Kevin punched him on the spot.

Kevin had said at the time that he was welcome to come back and get revenge anytime.

Therefore, he didn't take the trouble Lucius caused seriously at all, and he had already received the punishment he deserved.

Of course, the reconciliation was not done casually; it was all based on Kevin's confidence in his abilities.

When someone without power chooses to reconcile, it's called compromise, forbearance, or being easy to bully.

When capable people choose to reconcile, that's called magnanimity, vision, and foresight.

It's important to understand that Malfoy still wields considerable influence in the wizarding world. Rather than pushing him to the opposite side and creating unnecessary trouble for himself, it's better to bring him to his side and make him an asset.

As the saying goes, the world of martial arts is not about fighting and killing, but about human relationships and social interactions.

Malfoy knew they owed Kevin, and if he ever needed help in the future, they would be eager to come and assist him.

Most importantly, sooner or later, Malfoy will let Draco take over, and then what belongs to Malfoy will become what belongs to Kevin.

Hehehehe!

However, Draco, standing to the side, was unaware that Kevin had already set his sights on him.

He was still completely oblivious to the fact that Kevin was willing to put aside his grudges and accept Malfoy.
