Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 197 Visiting Malfoy Manor

"You mean going to Draco's house?"

"Hmm, there are some things I'd like to ask Lucius about Voldemort. He's a former Core Death Eater, after all; he might know something."

Kevin said slowly as he played Crookshank.

He had just discussed his upcoming travel plans with Harry and the others.

That means visiting Malfoy Estate.

Are you planning to go alone?

Ron, who was standing nearby, also asked.

"No, that's why I asked you if you wanted to visit Draco's house. We're just killing time anyway."

"I was just asking Lucius for some information. Whether you want to stay longer after that is up to you."

Crookshan: "Meow~"

Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, then nodded in unison: "We're going!"

They haven't even been to the manor that Draco keeps raving about, so they have to go and give it a good beating!

Then Kevin looked at Hermione, who naturally didn't object and nodded.

It's settled then.

Kevin also reported this matter to the patriarchs of the Order of the Phoenix.

Sirius had originally considered whether to accompany them, since it was Malfoy's territory.

However, Harry Ron clearly trusted Draco, waving his hand and saying he didn't need it.

They were just visiting a friend; there was no need to make things so tense.

Sirius had no choice but to give up, but with Kevin around, they probably didn't need to worry about it.

......

"Welcome to Malfoy Manor, you bumpkins!"

Draco arrogantly held his head high, uttering incredibly irritating words.

He stood before the manor's massive iron gate, flanked by a pair of enormous and exquisite quartz stone statues.

Kevin walked over speechlessly and slapped Draco on the head, which was practically pointing skyward.

"Enough talk, lead the way. Also, the statue at the entrance is nice; deliver it to my house later."

"Oh, huh?"

Draco rubbed his head, still thinking of leading the way, but then he was stumped by the next sentence.

"The fountain over there is also quite nice; I'll have it delivered to my house later too."

Kevin then pointed to a magnificent silver fountain pool at the far end of the gate and continued.

Wait, buddy, you've come to my house to buy some goods?

"And this, this, and this, send them all back to my house."

Kevin put his arm around Draco's shoulder and pointed at Malfoy Manor, asking for whatever he saw.

"You might as well just let me give you the manor."

Draco, speechless, watched Kevin pointing and said...

"...Good idea, so when are you moving out?"

Kevin paused for a moment, thought the suggestion was good, and then asked.

"..."

"Hehe, if you all like our home so much, you're very welcome to move in."

At this moment, Narcissa also arrived at the door to greet Kevin and the others, and said to Kevin with a light smile.

"Is that so? Then thank you for your kindness, Madam."

"Look at your mother, she's much more sensible than you."

Kevin first responded to Narcissa with a smile, then nudged Draco with his elbow and said disdainfully.

"That's right, that's right."

Harry Ron chimed in, and then they all smiled and greeted Narcissa.

Hermione looked at the boys with a bit of a speechless expression.

They then followed Narcissa into Malfoy Estate.

......

Draco led Harry and his two friends on a tour of Malfoy Manor and the animals they kept there.

The manor is filled with hired wizards patrolling, demonstrating how much Malfoy cares about preventing retaliation from the Death Eaters.

Inside the main building of the manor, Kevin and Lucius were sitting facing each other. Narcissa poured them both a cup of tea and then left.

Lucius looked at Kevin with a complicated expression.

"Mr. Kevin, you didn't come here today just to see Draco, did you?"

Lucius initiated the conversation, since Kevin hadn't gone on the tour with Draco but had come to find him alone, which clearly meant he had something to say.

"Nonsense, otherwise why would I come to you?"

Kevin and Lucius didn't give them a pleasant look and said it was only natural.

Lucius's face darkened, but he forced himself not to do anything.

"Lucius, I'm here today to ask you something."

Lucius was even more annoyed after hearing this. Wasn't it you who had such a terrible attitude when asking for favors?

"Don't look at me like that. I'm already being lenient by not directly prying open your skull to search for information."

Kevin calmly took a sip of tea and said in a low voice.

"...So, what do you want to know?"

Lucius took a deep breath and forced himself to speak calmly.

"You remember when we were in second grade, you stuffed Voldemort's diary into the Weasleys' youngest daughter's cauldron?"

Upon hearing the diary, Lucius immediately broke out in a cold sweat, and his hands trembled.

"...Diary...what diary..."

Regarding the matter of Voldemort's diary in the second year, Lucius never admitted it at the time, because they had no evidence to prove that Lucius had written it.

Besides, he can't admit to it. If he did, Dumbledore might just tear him apart.

Kevin didn't come here today to confront me or settle old scores, did he?

However, before Lucius could finish his instinctive, feigned rebuttal, Kevin interrupted him.

"Stop playing dumb, Lucius. Your actions didn't escape my notice at all."

In fact, they did escape...

"I'm not here to settle old scores; if I were, I'd be dead already."

Kevin continued speaking calmly.

These words, however, made Lucius feel immense pressure, as if Kevin might kill him at any moment.

"What I want to ask is, when Voldemort gave you that diary, did he give you any instructions?"

Kevin ignored Lucius's thoughts and continued asking questions.

Lucius struggled internally for a while, and finally saw Kevin suddenly produce a crowbar, so he quickly spoke up.

"He entrusted...Voice of God...the mysterious man, he only mentioned that the diary could open the Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts, allowing fear to once again engulf Hogwarts."

"And he instructed me to hide the diary somewhere and not let anyone find it."

Lucius only briefly recalled before speaking quickly.

After listening to Lucius's words, Kevin put away the crowbar, lowered his eyes as if to digest the information, and then asked another question.

"Didn't he tell you what that diary was about?"

"So, the secret room can be opened?"

Lucius was puzzled. Voldemort hadn't really said what it was, and judging from Kevin's words, the diary seemed to be more than it appeared.

"Okay, next question, besides the diary, what else did Voldemort give you?"

"Did you receive anything else similar, or were other core Death Eaters entrusted with something similar and important?"

Seeing that Kevin seemed to have really only come to ask questions, Lucius relaxed a lot, clearly Kevin's focus was on Voldemort.

Perhaps Voldemort hid something that Kevin wanted to find.

Lucius lowered his head and pondered for a moment.

"He didn't give me anything else. As for whether he gave anything to the other Death Eaters..."

Besides entrusting his diary to him, Voldemort also apparently contacted a member of the Black family, but instead of giving that person anything, he asked for a house-elf.

Besides that, it seems they also looked for...

Bellatrix.
