Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 18 The Little Dragon, Taming Draco
"Harry, Ron, we're back."
When the day came to return to Hogwarts, Kevin and Hermione went to the Great Hall to find Harry and Ron after returning to the school.
"Kevin, where did you get that cape? It's so flashy!"
Ron looked at the cloak Kevin was wearing and asked.
"Ha, Ron, you wouldn't understand."
Kevin deliberately struck a flashy pose.
Hermione, standing nearby, suddenly regretted giving Kevin the cloak. She covered her face, too embarrassed to look at Kevin, feeling ashamed that the cloak she had made herself was being worn so ostentatiously.
"Let me tell you, Harry also received a cape for Christmas, and it's an invisibility cape!"
Ron beckoned Kevin and Hermione closer so he could whisper the secret to them.
"Invisibility? I can learn the Disillusionment Charm too." Kevin shook his head in disdain.
"No, what are you so smug about..." Ron looked at Kevin speechlessly.
Ron continued, "Then Harry, wearing the invisibility cloak, went out at night and discovered that Professor Snape was threatening Professor Quirrell late at night. I didn't hear what he was threatening, because he was afraid of being discovered by Professor Snape."
Then Harry discovered a magical mirror that reflected the very scene he most wanted to see outside.
Kevin immediately understood after hearing this. This was exactly the original story: he broke into the forbidden library at night, ran into Snape warning Quirrell not to do anything reckless, and then encountered the Mirror of Erised.
It seems that even if Harry didn't sneak into the restricted area at night, he still liked to wander around.
Or perhaps it was Dumbledore's doing?
"Is the magic mirror still there?" Kevin asked.
"It's gone. Professor Dumbledore took it." Harry shook his head, then, as if remembering something, asked Kevin in confusion, "Why did you ask if it's still there, instead of where it is?"
"Because it's clearly not a good thing; releasing it will only harm people."
"Don't you want to see what you crave most?" Ron nudged Kevin with his hand.
"I know what I want without even looking," Kevin said confidently, hands on his hips.
After saying that, he couldn't help but turn around and glance at Hermione.
Hermione was startled when Kevin suddenly glanced at her, and her face turned red as if she had realized something.
Harry and Ron looked at the two strangely: "You two came back after Christmas, but something seems off."
The two straight men clearly didn't notice anything.
......
"Professor Snape, thank you for the notes. Here is your Seamless Stretch Charm pack, returned to you."
"Mr. Kevin, you seem to have had a perfect Christmas holiday, dressed like a flamboyant clown," Snape mocked, seeing Kevin in his flashy cape.
"Envious? Hermione made it for me herself!" Kevin, already immune to Snape's sharp tongue, boasted to Snape.
"..." Snape paused for a moment, seemingly recalling some unpleasant memory.
However, Kevin was unaware of this and continued to dart around in Snape's minefield.
"roll."
"Okay."
Snape uttered a single word with a grim face, and Kevin wisely ran away.
After leaving Snape's office, he walked towards his dormitory and ran into Harry and his two companions who had come looking for him.
"Kevin, I saw Hagrid rushing by when I passed by the castle. He seemed afraid of something, so we came to find you. Let's go to Hagrid's hut together."
"What could Uncle Hagrid be afraid of?" Kevin was taken aback.
"I don't know, but let's go find him anyway."
The group then set off for Hagrid's Hut. On the way, Kevin wondered, "Could it be because of the dragon egg?"
That thing really can't be detected.
Several people knocked on Hagrid's door. The three-meter-tall Hagrid opened the door, looked down, and saw that it was the four little ones.
"Hagrid, are you alright? I saw you rushing around just now, did something happen?" Harry asked worriedly when he saw Hagrid.
"Me? Oh, of course, I'm fine. But Harry, I don't have time to hang out with you guys right now, I'm a bit busy, that's all."
After Hagrid finished speaking, he prepared to close the door.
"Wait, Hagrid, what's going on? Is something wrong with the Philosopher's Stone?" Harry asked anxiously, looking at Hagrid who was clearly lying.
"Keep your voices down, and don't make wild guesses. The Philosopher's Stone is perfectly safe... Oh, never mind, come in."
Hagrid really didn't want to attract attention, so he told the four little ones to come in quickly and then closed the door.
"I've told you countless times, the Philosopher's Stone is safe, you don't need to worry about it, it's not your business."
After Hagrid closed the door, he spoke earnestly to the group.
Kevin then slowly walked to the stove, on which sat a pot containing a dragon egg the size of a human head.
As expected of a fire dragon, even hatching requires roasting in a furnace.
"Oh Kevin, don't go near it." Hagrid turned around and saw Kevin peeking at the dragon egg.
"What's that?" The other three little ones immediately followed to look, curious.
Just as Hagrid was about to explain, Ron exclaimed, "It's a dragon egg! A fire dragon egg!"
Clearly, someone in the family studies fire dragons; they have a lot of knowledge.
"But that's not in compliance with regulations, Hagrid."
Harry and the others also looked at Hagrid, and in the end, the three-meter-tall chubby boy could only sigh.
I explained to them the origin of the dragon egg: during the holidays, someone brought a dragon egg and made a bet with him, then lost the dragon egg to Hagrid.
Although they felt there was something fishy about the story, the eggshell happened to move, and the group curiously gathered around.
Kevin then secretly turned around and walked towards the door.
Soon the little fire dragon hatched; it was just a winged, fire-breathing yellow lizard, nothing special, but they all liked it very much.
"Who's outside the window?!" Hagrid suddenly noticed someone peeping through the window. Harry and the others turned around and saw Draco.
"Oh no!" The group exclaimed in alarm; the fire dragon had been discovered.
"Stand still on your feet."
However, at that moment, a leisurely incantation sound rang out.
Kevin, who had somehow appeared at the door, cast a spell on Draco, who had just run a few meters away.
Draco's feet seemed to suddenly get caught in a cowboy's noose, his legs came together, and he fell face-first to the ground.
"Kevin! How dare you use a spell on me in private! You wait, I'll tell my dad, and he'll expel you from school and lock you up in Azkaban!!" Draco roared at Kevin in disbelief as he got up.
"Quiet."
Kevin cast another silencing spell, and Draco found himself unable to make a sound.
Then he slowly walked over and carried Draco into Hagrid's hut.
The people inside the room stared in astonishment at Kevin's series of actions, speechless for a moment.
"Oh no, Kevin, you're going to get caught." Hagrid was the first to react, looking at Draco who was locked up by his legs and unable to make a sound, and said with great concern.
Hermione and the others immediately realized the seriousness of their plan being exposed.
"Don't worry, watch me."
Kevin placed Draco on the chair, and just as Draco tried to struggle, Kevin's wand pressed directly against Draco's chest.
Draco froze instantly. Kevin dared to cast a spell on him, what else wouldn't he be afraid of...?
"Draco, I have no intention of harming you, I just want to make a deal with you."
Draco listened, and even tried to twist his body in protest.
"The Divine Edge is Without a Shadow."
Kevin suddenly cast Snape's signature spell on the floor, and an invisible blade cleaved the floor open.
He learned this skill immediately after obtaining the Half-Blood Prince's treasure.
Draco dared not move again.
"Now, when I speak, you stay quiet, or I can't guarantee that the next spell won't hit you."
Draco nodded very vigorously.
"Very well, now you have two choices."
"First, I'll dump you somewhere deserted, knock you out, and then give you a quick knockout shot. That way, everyone's happy."
Draco shook his head frantically. What a joke! If you're not skilled at the "forget everything" technique, it can cause amnesia or even make you stupid.
"Second, keep today's secret. In return, you can come here to pet the little dragon in the future, how about that?"
Ron was the first to object among the people in the room, followed by Harry.
"Kevin, this guy is bound to leak information, we can't let him get away!" Ron shouted.
Now it was Kevin's turn to be surprised. When did you become so courageous? Or do you simply not understand the dangers of forgetting everything?
However, Hermione immediately rejected Ron's suggestion and explained the dangers of forgetting everything.
As expected, Ron quieted down after listening.
"How about we use an inviolable oath?"
Hermione also suggested it, and although it was a good idea, Kevin still didn't accept it.
"It's okay, Draco isn't stupid, he knows what to choose."
After saying that, Kevin lifted Draco's silencing spell.
"I choose option two! I promise I won't leak the secret!"
As soon as Draco could speak, he shouted.
"But Kevin, if he leaks the information, you'll be thrown into Azkaban."
Hermione was still worried. Since it concerned Kevin, the kind-hearted Hermione had no choice but to resort to some extreme measures.
"I know, don't worry, Hermione."
After saying that, Kevin looked at Draco and released Draco from his standing paralysis.
Draco was also able to stand up, clearly quite frightened.
"But Draco, you'll have to have a wizard's duel with me first."
"Huh?" Draco was taken aback.
Clever Hermione immediately understood Kevin's idea.
"The witness is Uncle Hagrid."
Draco was stunned for a moment before he realized what was happening.
If it were a duel, then it would be understandable that Draco was under a curse.
"Okay, I accept."
Soon outside, the two engaged in a semi-formal wizard duel.
Kevin still managed to freeze in place and then finish off Kevin with a weapon to secure victory.
Although he mostly gave perfunctory responses, Draco didn't expect that after he was well-prepared, he wouldn't have a single chance to fight back.
And that was the end of the incident.
