A transfer student?

How come I've never heard of any transfer students in the Harry Potter movies?

Upon hearing Dol's self-introduction, Kevin was visibly taken aback. Had the plot changed again?

His first instinct was to pull out his wand and subdue him, but he immediately restrained himself.

Hermione was also quite surprised, but seemed to be able to accept it, since transferring schools was not uncommon.

"I previously studied at Durmstrang, but for the last two years I wanted to study at Hogwarts. My family pulled a lot of strings, and I finally got my wish to transfer here."

Dole, very outgoing, started talking to the two of them about his old school and why he wanted to come to Hogwarts.

There wasn't really any particular reason; it's just that Hogwarts is the most prestigious magic school in the wizarding world, and many legends were born there, so he wanted to experience it.

"To be honest, I'm quite looking forward to seeing which house I'll be sorted into. I've heard that the Hogwarts sorting system is really interesting."

"Of course, Kevin and I are both from Gryffindor, and we look forward to you being sorted here."

When Hermione heard that he was a transfer student, she kindly introduced him to Hogwarts.

"I'm really looking forward to it too."

Dole smiled, then looked at Kevin and Hermione, seemingly trying to get closer to them, and made an excuse to speak.

"Are you two a couple?"

When he said this, there was a hint of teasing and curiosity on Dole's face.

"Well, yeah, Hogwarts doesn't forbid dating."

Hermione blushed slightly, but quickly realized there was nothing to be ashamed of.

Hearing Hermione's answer, Dole's smile widened.

"I really envy you, Granger, for finding such a great boyfriend."

Hermione nodded seriously, but then paused, startled.

That sounds a bit strange.

"Kevin, I heard you're now a Potions professor at Hogwarts?"

"...Yes, but I'm only responsible for grades one through four, so there's probably not much I can teach you, but you're still welcome to audit my classes."

Upon hearing Dol speak to him, Kevin paused for a moment before slowly replying.

He has no clue about this transfer student.

Could they be Death Eaters?

That doesn't make sense either. The principal must know about the transfer student. He personally approved it, so it couldn't possibly be someone like a Death Eater.

"Dor, you should know that there's been a lot of turmoil in Britain lately. Aren't you afraid something might happen if you still come to study at Hogwarts?"

Kevin paused for a moment, then asked curiously.

"The situation is turbulent? Oh, you mean the Death Eaters and the Mystic?"

"I know all of this. To be honest, my parents didn't agree at first, but I insisted on coming."

"Because I'm not worried about any Death Eaters at all, after all, Hogwarts has Dumbledore."

Dole said with a smile, and there was nothing wrong with his words.

Kevin had no choice but to give up for now and ask Dumbledore again when he got back to school.

As for using the Revealing Charm on him directly? What if he really is just an ordinary transfer student...?

Moreover, there are plenty of opportunities to test the waters; there's no need to target them directly in front of others.

Afterwards, Dole asked the two of them some questions about Hogwarts and Harry Potter, and he seemed very interested throughout.

Hermione was also very curious about Durmstrang House, so she asked quite a few questions.

And Dole was indeed very knowledgeable about Durmstrang, answering all of Hermione's questions.

He looked like a very ordinary transfer student, with no problems whatsoever.

Kevin didn't let his suspicions turn into emotions; he chatted with him normally.

Durmstrang was very tolerant of dark magic, and during his conversation with Dole, Kevin also realized that Dole was highly skilled in dark magic.

If we disregard his mysterious transfer student status, Kevin's impression of him is quite good; he is humble, friendly, cheerful, and generous.

But all of this can only be concluded after we have asked Dumbledore.

Time flies, night falls, and the Hogwarts Express slowly arrives at the station.

Dole seemed quite familiar with Hogwarts, saying he also wanted to experience the ceremony of entering Hogwarts by boat. He then said goodbye to Kevin and the other two and followed the direction of the first-year students.

"Kevin, do you think there's something wrong with him?"

After Dole left, Hermione finally asked the question.

"Huh? Did I say anything?"

Kevin was taken aback; he hadn't shown any wariness towards Dole at all.

"Idiot, have you forgotten that our bracelets can sense each other?"

"After hearing that he was a transfer student, you probably almost pulled out your wand."

Hermione waved the gleaming silver bracelet on her wrist at Kevin.

"But I still can't figure out what's wrong with him. I asked him so many questions about Durmstrang, and he answered them all correctly, as if he really came from there."

Hermione stroked her chin, muttering to herself in confusion. It turned out that her curiosity stemmed entirely from Kevin's wariness of her.

Kevin also fell silent for a moment, forgetting that their bracelets could sense each other's emotional fluctuations.

But he couldn't say it directly, probably because he knew there was no such character as a transfer student in the story, which is why he was wary.

"I didn't find the problem either, I just felt that the timing of this transfer student's enrollment was a bit off."

"We can just ask the principal when we get back to school. He definitely knows about transfer students; he can't possibly let a Death Eater in, can he?"

Kevin shook his head, deciding not to delve any further into the matter, and decided to head back to school now.

Harry and the others finally got out of the carriage and came to Kevin's side.

Upon entering the school, everyone's luggage was checked, and Snape stood there like a security check machine, just like last semester.

However, this time Kevin didn't have to stand guard with Snape. Snape saw them and, too lazy to check, let them pass.

After boarding the Nightingale carriage, Kevin finally told Harry and the others about the transfer student.

However, he did not explicitly state his suspicions about him, but simply introduced the existence of this person.

Harry and his friends were quite surprised, but they didn't think anything was wrong. Back in their fourth year, Durmstrang's guys had even come to challenge them.

They thought it might just be a friendly exchange between magic academies.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, they immediately went to the Great Hall to prepare for the banquet.

Kevin said goodbye to Hermione and went to the professors' table, sitting between Professor Horace and Professor Snape.

"It's good to see you again, Professor Horace," Kevin greeted Horace.

"Oh, Kevin, so your rumors were true. I never expected to be able to work with a student; this is a rare experience."

Horace greeted Kevin with a smile.

Professor Snape stood to the side with a deadpan expression.

Soon, it was almost time, and Professor McGonagall opened the doors of the auditorium, leading the new students inside.
