Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 165 Kevin was too tired last night

"Daughter, where's Kevin? Isn't he coming for breakfast?"

The next morning, Hermione went to her parents' house next door to have breakfast.

Mrs. Granger had prepared a portion for Kevin, but she hadn't seen him yet, so she asked curiously.

"Oh, Kevin is still sleeping," Hermione said simply while eating her fried egg.

"Hmm? I remember Kevin usually gets up very early."

Mr. Granger, who was still eating breakfast at the table, asked curiously.

"...I guess I was too tired last night."

Hermione hesitated for a moment, then said somewhat awkwardly.

"..."

With a clatter, Mr. Granger dropped his knife and fork to the ground, staring at his daughter in disbelief, his face visibly flushed.

Mrs. Granger covered her mouth, but then showed great understanding, after all, young people are bound to be impulsive.

Hermione was puzzled by her parents' reaction. Were they upset that I didn't let Kevin sleep last night?

But thinking about it, I realize I was wrong last night.

Hermione then lowered her head and said in self-reproach.

"Okay, I was wrong. I shouldn't have made Kevin do all night last night."

"I thought it would be over in a flash, but it felt so good..."

Suddenly, an even louder crash rang out, and Mr. Granger stood up abruptly, staring at his daughter in even greater disbelief.

Was it actually the daughter who made Kevin do it that way?

At this point, Hermione finally realized something was wrong; her father's reaction didn't seem like he was blaming her for bullying Kevin.

Turning to look at her mother, she found that her mother was also a little embarrassed, as if she was quite ashamed.

"Well, daughter, Mom understands you. It's normal for young people to be curious."

"However, it's better to wait until you're a bit older to do these things, and besides, you don't need to explain these things to your parents so clearly..."

Hearing her mother's pointed words, Hermione paused for a moment, but quickly realized that her parents seemed to have misunderstood something.

"Wait! Mom and Dad, what are you thinking!"

Hermione immediately blushed and retorted loudly.

"All I did last night was let Kevin hold me all night; we didn't do anything else!"

Hermione tried to explain, but it seemed to only make things worse.

What do you mean by "only held him all night"? Kids these days have really got a lot of creative ideas.

Judging from her parents' expressions, Hermione knew they must have misunderstood something again.

I had no choice but to take a deep breath, calm myself down, and slowly recount what happened last night.

It turns out that Kevin said Hermione had gained weight last night, and Hermione threw a tantrum.

She didn't just get fat; she's clearly growing.

So she told Kevin not to put her down and to hold her and lull her to sleep.

Unexpectedly, because she was too tired and Kevin's arms were very comfortable, she fell asleep against Kevin's chest.

She slept for a whole night, and when she woke up during the day, she found that Kevin had been holding her straight in his arms all night, with a blanket covering her.

Hermione felt sorry for Kevin and told him to go and rest.

So that's why I hugged him all night...

After listening to their daughter's explanation, the Grangers finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, Mrs. Granger then began to lecture Hermione.

Mr. Granger quietly left the table, went out into the yard, lit a cigarette, and fell into deep thought.

Kevin, you can't return it...

Meanwhile, Kevin was soundly asleep, completely unaware that his position as the younger brother in his family was rapidly rising.

......

"Albus, are you aware of the recent news about the Death Eaters?"

Far away in the headmaster's office at Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore were talking.

"For some reason, they split into two factions, and one faction seemed to have become less convinced of Voldemort's authority."

"They believe that Voldemort has failed to lead them to a pure-blooded rise after all these years, so it would be better to change leaders."

"I'm worried that someone might have instigated them again."

Professor McGonagall said with some concern.

"Yes, I already know about that."

"Don't worry for now, I'll look into it."

Dumbledore looked out the window with his hands behind his back, and said with a headache.

He actually knew exactly what was going on.

The only one capable of doing this is Grindelwald.

But he didn't understand what Grindelwald was trying to do.

Dumbledore knew that Grindelwald had long since repented and had stayed obediently in Nurmengard for so many years in order to atone for his sins.

Especially since Grindelwald is already halfway to the grave, he can no longer start a revolution like he did back then.

"So what should we do?"

Professor McGonagall did not notice Dumbledore's unusual expression, so she continued to ask.

"Everything as usual. If they are like Voldemort's followers, then deal with them as they should be."

"Dumbledore said slowly."

"In fact, that's where the problem lies..."

Professor McGonagall said with some concern.

"Those Death Eaters who have turned away from Voldemort seem to have become very well-behaved, perhaps a little too well-behaved."

"I've heard that some families who secretly did business with Muggle merchants have also cut off ties with Muggles to varying degrees."

"It's like Muggles are some kind of monster..."

Dumbledore fell silent after hearing Professor McGonagall's words, for he too could not fathom Grindelwald's thoughts.

He once wanted to overthrow the Wizarding Secrecy Act and declare war on the Muggle world, but now he makes wizards hide from Muggles as if they are afraid of being discovered by them.

Although it's hard to understand, so far Grindelwald hasn't caused any trouble, so Dumbledore hasn't stopped him.

Deep down, he was still willing to believe in Grindelwald one more time.

But I'll still have to ask him about it after a while.

......

The holiday quickly passed by, a month had gone by.

For the past month, Hermione has been extremely accommodating to Kevin. Although he doesn't know why, Kevin is also very fond of Hermione, who is as cute and clingy as a kitten.

Seeing the two of them like this, the Grangers couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Tell them not to come over unless it's absolutely necessary.

Of course, just showing affection wouldn't stop them from visiting.

The real reason is that they come as soon as they smell the food around mealtimes, and they freeload every day, always taking some fruits and vegetables with them when they leave.

When asked, Hermione said, "Kevin works so hard preparing three meals a day for me."

Kevin, shameless as ever, said, "No, I came just because Hermione told me to."

This made Mr. Granger laugh in exasperation, and he said to his daughter.

"You feel sorry for Kevin, but why don't you feel sorry for your mother who prepares three meals a day for you?"

At this moment, Hermione had a sudden inspiration and said, "Hey, since you feel sorry for Mom, why don't you prepare the three meals a day?"

Mr. Granger: ? ? ?
