Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School
Chapter 64 Quidditch in the Storm
The group quickly finished breakfast and headed to the Quidditch pitch together.
They walked all the way to the castle gate and put on their raincoats.
According to Luna, the lion head mask was enchanted with waterproof and moisture-proof magic and could be used as a rain hat, so John put on the raincoat but didn't wear the rain hat.
To be honest, among a group of people wearing raincoats, wearing a lion head mask does look rather comical.
John, however, not only didn't care, but actually found it interesting.
Isn't it the center of attention?
With just a slight move, I can steal the spotlight from the Quidditch team.
Raindrops hit John's lion head mask, and the raindrops slid down the mask, but the fabric mask showed no signs of getting wet.
"John? You..."
John then bumped into Neville, who was also walking towards the stadium.
"Isn't he handsome, senior Neville?"
John, self-satisfied, gave himself a thumbs-up and said with a smile.
"..."
Neville was speechless for a moment when he saw John's comical attire.
He wouldn't be surprised if this happened to Luna.
But what happened to John... well, it doesn't seem so strange, does it?
After a long silence, Neville silently gave a thumbs up: "Cool."
After Neville gave a thumbs up, the two of them couldn't help but laugh.
The Quidditch pitch was shrouded in mist from the rain, and the seats in the stands were already soaked.
They walked into the stadium together.
Neville led them to a group of Gryffindors, and since there were no rules, everyone sat down casually.
The match hadn't even started yet, but the stands were already buzzing with excitement.
Even the fierce wind and rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the young wizards.
"Hey John."
Hermione then came to John's side; she had noticed John, wearing a lion's head, mingling among a group of Ravenclaws earlier.
"Hermione, you're here too."
"Of course, after all, it's a Gryffindor match."
Hermione responded with a smile and greeted John's friends.
Upon seeing Hermione's appearance, Titus wisely stood up, shifted his position, and gave Hermione the seat next to John.
Hermione smiled at him and then sat down next to John.
"Your outfit today is quite unique; someone who didn't know you might think you were one of our Gryphon students."
Hermione reached out and touched John's lion head mask, smiling as she spoke.
"Your Gryphon school doesn't have a lion as majestic as me. Look around, who is more majestic than me?"
"It was your loss that I didn't go to Gryffindor."
John said shamelessly.
Hermione rolled her eyes: "Look at you, so capable."
But then she muttered to herself, "It's a real shame they didn't get into Gryffindor..."
John, oblivious to the murmurs, continued to flaunt his lion head mask, completely absorbed in his own self-satisfied world.
Just then, a whistle blew through the rain on the field.
Players from two teams riding flying broomsticks simultaneously flew out from both sides of the field.
He wore a yellow cloak on one side and an orange-red cloak on the other.
The game started.
Suddenly everyone stood up excitedly, cheering and shouting, and even the torrential rain couldn't drown out their cheers.
Every now and then, a few whooshing sounds of wind breaking through the rain curtain could be heard.
Official matches are definitely different; they're much more exciting than practice matches.
Even John, a complete novice, could see the tension and excitement of the match.
Rumble.
The heavy rain continued to pour down, and a clap of thunder ripped across the sky, as if sounding the battle drums for this fierce competition.
John looked up at the Seeker in the sky, Harry Potter.
The Golden Snitch has not yet appeared, so Harry Potter and Hufflepuff's Seekers are each hovering at the highest point.
John noticed that Harry's gaze would occasionally drift towards a particular stand.
He followed Harry's gaze and saw a large black dog sitting in the opposite stands.
???
When John saw the black dog, he almost lost his composure.
How could this guy be so arrogant, just swaggering onto the Quidditch pitch?
The dog sat there quietly, soaking wet, but motionless, staring intently at Harry Potter.
John frowned and looked up at the professor's audience.
Professor Lu Ping was not present.
John hesitated for a moment, then quietly left his seat in the audience.
The stadium stands were connected, and John squeezed through the crowd little by little, moving towards his seat on the opposite side of the stands.
In his original spot, Hermione watched Gryffindor score and immediately cheered happily.
"John, Gryffindor is up by 30 points!"
Hermione said happily to the person next to her.
However, there was no response.
Hermione looked to her side in surprise and found that John had disappeared sometime earlier.
"John?"
Hermione looked around; John's iconic lion head mask had disappeared into the crowd.
Have you seen John?
She patted Titus in front of her and asked the group.
Hearing Hermione's words, Titus and the others were also taken aback. Why was John still missing?
They all shook their heads.
"Look over there, isn't that John?"
At this moment, Ryan pointed to the audience opposite, to the very conspicuous lion head mask.
The group all looked over.
John, wearing a lion head mask, squeezed through the crowd and finally arrived at the side of the big black dog.
Then, without saying a word, John grabbed the big black dog by the scruff of its neck, picked it up, and disappeared back into the audience.
This move left the group of people completely stunned.
"Is that Little Black?"
Titus squinted and said somewhat uncertainly.
That dog was indeed Little Black.
They didn't know that Little Black was actually an Animagus in disguise.
"I think so... Why would John go and catch it?"
Ethan said, somewhat puzzled.
Listening to their conversation, Hermione finally realized that the "little black" they were talking about was the black dog.
Why did John sneak away all by himself to catch a black dog?
Black dog...
She remembered Trelawney's prophecy about Harry during their first Divination class.
A black dog is an omen of bad luck.
Although she didn't believe in this thing, she was always concerned when she saw John and a black dog leaving mysteriously.
A wave of doubt and worry washed over Hermione, and without much hesitation, she left the court.
The competition continues in full swing.
Rumble.
Another thunderclap echoed through the stadium.
For some reason, the rain became increasingly torrential, and the raindrops falling on my body turned icy cold, exuding an ominous aura.
Suddenly, the commentator on the field shouted excitedly, "The Golden Snitch has appeared!"
"Harry Potter has discovered the Golden Snitch!!"
"Cedric of Hufflepuff followed closely behind!!"
Two figures, one red and one yellow, sped across the sky, chasing a streak of golden light.
The atmosphere on the field instantly became extremely tense. The two figures chased each other into the sky and disappeared from everyone's sight.
Just then, a bolt of lightning flashed, illuminating the clouds.
To everyone's surprise,
The lightning not only illuminated the clouds, but also revealed hundreds of dark shadows flying among them!
