Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School
Chapter 57 Sirius Appears
Snape's actions surprised both John and Lupin.
This seems a bit excessive.
John keenly sensed that something was wrong with Professor Snape; it wasn't just simple hostility, but more like suspicion that Professor Lupin had done something wrong.
So John quickly spoke up.
"Professor, Professor Lupin was with me in the faculty lounge back then!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Professor Snape paused, but the doubt in his eyes did not disappear.
"And then what?"
Professor Snape stared at Professor Lupin and continued to ask questions coldly.
But this time it was John who was asked.
"We've been together ever since."
"He saw that I was locked in the faculty lounge and couldn't attend the dinner, so he brought me out to clear my head."
Snape's gaze darted between the two men, seemingly assessing the veracity of John's words.
In the end, however, he put down the wand.
"Severus, has something happened?"
Professor Lupin only asked the question after seeing Professor Snape put down his wand.
"You'll know when you get back to the castle."
Having said that, Snape offered no further explanation, waved his robes, and turned to walk toward the castle.
But after taking only a few steps, she seemed to realize that John wasn't following, and turned back to glare at him.
John understood immediately and quickly followed.
However, before he left, he whispered to Professor Lu Ping, "Professor, let's talk again sometime tomorrow. I hope you can give me an answer then."
Having said that, he quickly caught up with Professor Snape.
Professor Lu Ping stood there, watching them leave.
He actually guessed what had happened, but he couldn't say more.
As for John, if I don't agree to his request, he probably won't take me to find that black dog.
As night fell, Lupin's gaze deepened, and finally, only a sigh remained, drifting into the night on the wind.
......
John followed Professor Snape all the way back to the castle.
I noticed that the students were all heading towards the auditorium.
Listening to their conversation, John finally understood what had happened.
Sirius Black has appeared!
Just now, the Halloween dinner ended, and the students were about to return to their respective lounges.
However, something unexpected happened in the Gryffindor common room.
John, who had accompanied Hermione back before, knew that the secret passage to that common room was guarded by a portrait, and a specific password was required to open the passage and enter the Gryffindor common room.
But at this moment, the portrait was brutally slashed in several places, the marks resembling the grotesque claws of a wolf.
Fortunately, the portrait guard, "Fat Lady," was not injured, but was terrified.
She cowered in another portrait, her face filled with terror, and shouted to those around her, "Sirius Black has broken into Hogwarts! He even tried to break into the Gryffindor common room!!"
This incident immediately drew the school's attention.
Headmaster Dumbledore personally arrived at the scene and directed the professors to recall all the students and bring them to the Great Hall for safekeeping.
After recalling him, they went to seal off the castle and thoroughly searched all possible hiding places within it.
John was quite surprised to hear the news of Sirius's appearance.
Could it be that Professor Snape's extreme behavior just now was due to Sirius's appearance?
That doesn't make sense either. Sirius Black's appearance has nothing to do with Professor Lupin.
Could Professor Lupin really help Sirius infiltrate the school?
John was a little confused.
Tonight, one thing after another has happened.
John always felt that there might be some connection between these things.
Professor Snape didn't talk to John any further, told him to return to the Great Hall immediately, and then hurriedly left.
John decided to stop thinking about it for now and headed towards the Great Hall.
The auditorium was filled with students at that moment.
Students continued to be led in by the professors.
John returned to Dean Eagle's table, and Ryan and Ethan immediately surrounded him.
"John, you're finally back! We were worried you might run into Sirius."
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Professor Snape brought me here."
John sat down and reassured the two of them.
Before they could continue speaking, Titus also came over.
He only came over to confirm it after he saw John return.
I knew you were alright.
Titus patted John happily and said.
"You have no idea, everyone was terrified when news of Sirius's intrusion came out."
"A large group of people were running around in all directions."
"If the headmaster hadn't kept them calm, they probably would have all escaped from the castle."
Titus cheerfully told John what had happened while he was away.
Moreover, it seems that Titus is not afraid of Sirius at all.
I remember they once talked about Sirius Black because of the topic of Death Eaters.
Titus said at the time that his father believed Sirius had been framed.
Looking back now, John can't help but feel a little curious.
"Titus, you said your father thought Sirius might have been framed. Why does your uncle think that?"
John pondered this and asked Titus.
"I'm not too sure either. My dad was a student at Hogwarts back then, and he was Sirius's junior."
"Something must have happened back then. Sirius helped my dad, and that's how they met."
"We're not that close, though."
"I think my dad just felt indebted to Sirius, so he still thought Sirius was a good person."
"Actually, he didn't have any evidence to prove that Sirius was a good person."
Titus said in a low voice.
From his perspective, his father probably just subconsciously trusted Sirius because of some personal feelings.
John seemed to be deep in thought after hearing this.
"So what exactly happened back then?"
Ethan, who was standing nearby, couldn't help but interject with a question.
The crimes Sirius Black committed are not actually widely known.
Many people only know that Sirius Black killed more than a dozen Muggles and one of his wizard friends.
Titus shook his head at this, saying that his father didn't tell him everything.
After all, he was only eleven years old. The reason his father mentioned Sirius Black was because the news of Sirius's prison break was widely known. So he just mentioned it briefly.
"By the way, Titus, do you know about the relationship between Professor Lupin and Professor Snape?"
"They seem to be at odds with each other."
John then changed the subject and continued to ask Titus.
"I know, they used to be classmates."
"And it's not just them, Sirius was also their classmate."
"I heard that back in the day, there was a chuunibyou organization at school called the Raiders. I wonder who came up with that idiotic name."
"Anyway, Professor Lupin and Sirius Black were members of this organization back then."
"And Professor Snape seems to have been persecuted by this organization."
"So there was probably some grudge between them back then."
