Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School

Nighttime, the library.

John and Hermione sat together, flipping through their respective books.

The dim light shone on the pages of the book, reflecting Hermione's occasional slight furrowing of her brow.

Hermione's desk was piled high with thick books, many of which were legal provisions concerning the handling of magical creatures.

She was helping Hagrid find legal provisions that would benefit Buckbeak.

The hippogriff is a magical creature classified as a Level XXX, meaning it is neither a high-risk nor a low-risk species.

Especially with the help of certain individuals, Buckbeak has been labeled a dangerous creature.

Hermione closed the book and rubbed her temples, her head aching.

She has been using the time converter repeatedly to study multiple courses lately, juggling her studies with reading these law books, leaving her almost completely exhausted.

John then took out a piece of candy and placed it in front of Hermione.

"I've heard that eating something sweet can help replenish your brain after excessive mental exertion."

John said softly as he looked at his book.

Hermione smiled slightly without saying anything, picked up the candy and put it in her mouth. The sweetness spread on her tongue, and her fatigue seemed to lessen a little.

We've been coming to the library together for a long time.

Gradually, the two developed a tacit understanding.

When John encounters a problem, Hermione will take the initiative to help him solve it.

When Hermione encounters difficulties, John will offer encouragement or advice as needed.

This supportive atmosphere helped them improve both academically and in their friendships.

Hermione looked down at the defense materials she had prepared in her hand.

She quietly asked John for his opinion.

His tone still carried a hint of helplessness.

"John, what do you think we should do to help Buckbeak?"

Upon hearing Hermione's words, John closed his book.

Since their last visit to Hagrid's Cottage, Hermione and John have had a lot more in common.

Hermione would occasionally share things with John, including things about Buckbeak.

"The Hazardous Species Management Committee is generally only responsible for species classified as the highest endangered species under the XXXXX category."

"But Buckbeak is not the most dangerous animal; he was pushed up there by someone with ulterior motives and should not be handed over to the Dangerous Animals Committee."

"We can gather evidence to prove its moderation and appeal to the committee to seek a reassessment."

"Even if we can't exonerate Buckbek, we can at least buy time."

"At the same time, change Buckbeek's public image and win more sympathy and support."

Hearing John's words, Hermione also felt that they made a lot of sense.

The goal is not to rescue Buckbeak overnight, but to buy time through legal means so that more opportunities can be created.

Following John's train of thought, Hermione considered his suggestion in her mind and, by applying it to other situations, came up with other possible routes.

"Hmm, you make a good point. Perhaps we could conduct a behavioral experiment and demonstrate Buckbeak's habits in court."

"The winged beast is a friendly, but proud animal."

"You can only touch them if you bow deeply to them and receive a response."

"Malfoy was injured because he didn't follow Hagrid's instructions carefully."

"We can have the students who were present at the time testify, and at the same time have Hagrid demonstrate again the rules of conduct for contacting winged beasts."

"If anyone on the scene can reach Buckbeak in the same way as Hagrid and is not attacked, that proves Buckbeak's gentleness."

Hermione muttered to herself as she wrote these things down. Although it was just a delaying tactic, it was better than nothing.

The situation in Buckbeek is not optimistic, and any useful advice should be taken advantage of.

Seeing that Hermione had found a new direction, John didn't say anything more and went back to reading his book.

How should I put it?

It is indeed a good breakthrough point.

But it's not as easy as it sounds. If Malfoy can put Buckbeak on trial, he can certainly continue to sabotage things behind the scenes.

For John, the simplest thing to do was to just release Buckbeak.

However, according to Professor Hagrid, this would put Headmaster Dumbledore in a difficult position, and he didn't want to put Dumbledore in a difficult position.

"John, I'm going to Hogsmeade Village tomorrow. I'll bring you a present when I come back."

"Then come with me to Hagrid's place again the day after tomorrow. I want to discuss Buckbeak with him, is that alright?"

Hermione and John walked side by side on their way back to their dormitory. Hermione gave John a bright smile and asked him a question.

John thought about it for a moment and didn't refuse.

He and his friends had arranged to go to the secret base on Saturday, so there was nothing planned for Sunday.

He happened to have visited Hagrid's cabin last time and saw many strange and unusual things there, which piqued his interest.

I was too embarrassed to ask too many questions the first time I went, but this time I can take a closer look.

"Okay, then let's meet at the Great Hall at nine o'clock on Sunday morning."

John nodded and Hermione said it was no problem.

The two chatted as they walked toward the Gryffindor dormitory.

Although John had been to the Gryffindor dormitories once, he still went with Hermione.

Anyway, it's on the way.

It would be so heartless to leave Hermione alone to go home in the middle of the night.

"Hey, is that Spotted the mouse?"

John, with his excellent eyesight, suddenly noticed a gray mouse at the end of the corridor, sneaking around furtively.

Hermione followed John's gaze and, sure enough, saw a mouse.

Having seen rats for two years, Hermione immediately recognized from their size that the rat was probably Scabbers.

Banban spotted them and immediately darted into the shadows.

"Isn't it a wonder that this mouse is running around outside in the middle of the night and getting snatched up by an owl?"

John said strangely.

"Speaking of which, these rats can live for over ten years, could they really not be magical creatures?"

"I haven't studied it in detail either."

Hermione, standing to the side, shook her head and said.

John felt a little strange, but he didn't say anything.

John joked, "Maybe it really does have some secret."

Hermione chuckled and shook her head: "Don't overthink it. Scabbers has lived with the Ron family for over ten years. What bad intentions could he possibly have?"

John shook his head and chuckled, not taking it seriously.
