Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School

"Hey you guys, I have something to tell you."

One day at noon, Neville suddenly came to Dean Eagle's desk and whispered to Ryan and the others.

After spending these past few weeks together, they have become quite familiar with each other.

Neville also became familiar with Luna, the crazy girl.

So Neville sat down right next to them, though he looked a little nervous and anxious.

"What's wrong, Senior Neville?"

Ryan asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Where's John? Isn't he here?"

Neville didn't speak directly, but looked around and, not finding John, asked curiously.

"He just went out to chase that big orange cat."

"..."

Neville was speechless for a moment, but disregarding John's absence, he spoke urgently.

"Alright, I'll tell you first, and you can remind John later."

"Didn't you guys provoke Malfoy and his gang last weekend? I was passing by a garden last night when..."

"I overheard them discussing how to get revenge on you. You'd better be careful."

Ryan and the others were taken aback when they heard Navei's words.

But it wasn't unexpected.

Even after that day, they guessed that this matter was far from over.

But they weren't afraid; this was Hogwarts, not their home.

If a real fight breaks out, they might not necessarily suffer a loss.

"We understand, thank you for reminding us, senior."

Ryan nodded to Navee, indicating that he understood.

"By the way, is John in danger now that he's all alone?"

Neville quickly stood up and looked towards Slytherin, only to find that Malfoy and his two henchmen were gone.

His wand emitted a glowing light, illuminating the secret passage.

This secret passage is the one that John and his friends discovered two weeks ago, the one beneath the Whomping Willow.

John himself was surprised, not expecting to enter the secret passage so easily.

John was having lunch with his friends when Big Orange suddenly jumped onto the table, snatched a piece of food, and left the Great Hall without looking back.

He naturally followed after it, but no matter how much he called out to Big Orange, it ignored him and walked towards the castle exit on its own.

John had a pretty good idea that Orange was probably going to feed her dog friends again.

I was thinking of going with them to take a look.

As a result, they ended up at the Willow Tree.

By the time John realized something was wrong, Big Orange had already entered the attack range of the Whomping Willow.

Just as John rushed in to bring Big Orange out, Big Orange suddenly stepped on a small bump under the root of the willow tree that had hit him.

Then, Daju, familiar with the place, arrived at a secret passage behind the tree.

John was stunned by what he saw, but after only a 0.01-second hesitation, he followed suit and crawled inside.

It was lunchtime, and there was no one outside, so no one noticed what was happening here.

However, John was unaware that not long after he entered the secret passage, Malfoy passed by with two of his henchmen.

They did indeed find John alone and wanted to bully him.

They lost track of them once they reached the castle.

He could only stomp his feet in anger and go back to the castle.

"Big Orange, how much further is this secret passage? We've been walking for over twenty minutes."

John followed behind Big Orange at a leisurely pace, walking for nearly half an hour, until he was getting a little tired.

This distance is probably well beyond the boundaries of Hogwarts.

But John was not afraid.

The Whomping Willow was planted by Dumbledore, so it's impossible that Dumbledore didn't know about this secret passage.

Since it's still there, it must be safe.

The orange cat seems to know the place so well; it's definitely not its first time here.

Moreover, Orange Cat is no ordinary cat; it would never harm anyone. If it were dangerous, it wouldn't have brought John here.

So John wasn't worried at all.

Suddenly, the big orange cat in front sped up and darted toward the brightly lit exit.

John followed closely behind.

Go up the secret staircase.

Upon closer inspection, the doors and windows of the hut were completely boarded up.

There were also some gruesome claw marks left on these wooden boards.

Upon seeing the scratches, John hesitated for only 0.001 seconds.

He turned around and was about to escape back into the secret passage.

I retract my previous statement; this place doesn't look safe at all!!

The next moment, John had just gone down two steps of the stairs.

He felt a surge of heat on the back of his neck.

Then a tremendous force grabbed him by the back of his collar, lifted him up, and ripped John out of the air.

"Armor for protection!!"

"Retreat the enemy three feet!!"

"Veravitto!!"

"Damn it, you're dead!!"

The instant he was caught, John did not hesitate and immediately activated the Ironclad Charm he had learned from Professor Flitwick to protect his body.

When his body was in mid-air, he didn't even have time to see who the enemy was before he unleashed another knockback spell.

As soon as he landed, he used a transformation spell to conjure a spear in his hand.

Then it hurled itself directly at the dark figure.

boom!boom!

The dark figure nimbly dodged John's spell and the spear he threw; both attacks struck the wall behind him.

The way the shadowy figure dodged didn't look human at all.

"Fluorescent lights!"

John did not hesitate and used the Illumination Spell, needing to see the enemy clearly before he could deal with him.

When the light came on, what appeared before him was a large, emaciated black dog.

The big black dog was filthy, and its fur was a complete mess.

They looked more like refugees than refugees themselves.

The big black dog did not harm John further, but sat down quietly and looked at him.

That scrutinizing gaze was nothing like that of an animal.

Just as John was extremely nervous, Big Orange came over and put the food he was carrying in his mouth on the ground.

It meowed at the big black dog, as if it were saying something to the dog.

After the big black dog rubbed its nose against the big orange dog, it lowered its head and ate the food that the big orange dog had brought in a few bites.

However, it seemed like it wasn't full yet, and it looked at John with longing eyes.

"Big Orange...is your friend?"

John asked, somewhat uncertainly.

The orange cat also meowed at the right time, as if in response to John.

Seeing this, John lowered his guard slightly.

However, he did not cancel the Ironclad Curse.

After hesitating for a moment, John took out two more loaves of bread from his pocket and tossed them to the big black dog.

The big black dog accepted everything offered and ate it all.

After finishing her meal, she looked longingly at John.

"Uh...that's all, this is all I have to eat."

John raised his empty school robe and shrugged at the big black dog.

The big black dog didn't seem any less stupid than the orange tabby; it nodded at John as if it could understand human speech.

Then, the big black dog went up the stairs to the second floor of the cabin. Halfway up, it barked at John, as if signaling him to follow. The orange dog followed.

John thought to himself, "We've come this far, there's no reason to back down."

So they went up as well.
