After that, Dumbledore didn't say much more to John about the Holy Relics.

There's not much more to say.

Ultimately, these legends have little to do with their current goals.

Now the fourth Horcrux is in hand.

It's time to consider the next Horcrux.

Although it is unknown how many Horcruxes Voldemort actually made, it was learned from his previous discussion with Dumbledore.

Another Hufflepuff's Golden Cup has gone missing.

It's highly likely that Voldemort stole it too.

"Principal, this search isn't going to work."

"I wonder how many Horcruxes Voldemort has prepared; he doesn't even have a target."

"If he has prepared a hundred or two, we'll be searching for them for ages."

John complained to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore didn't react much; instead, he started explaining things to John.

"I don't think I've told you how Horcruxes are made yet."

"The most crucial part of creating a Horcrux is to tear a portion of your own soul and hide it inside an object."

"There is only one way to tear a soul apart: to murder others with pure murderous intent."

"Every murder tears a part of the soul away."

Dumbledore slowly raised his hand and used magic in the air to outline the scene.

It was a solid human figure, then a piece was torn off and stuffed into a square pattern.

"Look, the Horcrux is complete. A part of the Horcrux maker's soul will reside within it."

"But correspondingly, a part of his own soul will be permanently missing."

Dumbledore pointed to a hollowed-out area in the solid human figure and said.

"As you continue to tear your soul apart..."

Dumbledore continued to wave his wand, and piece by piece, the human figure was removed until only an empty, skeletal outline remained.

"The soul will continue to be lost until, in the end, the Horcrux maker himself will also fall into a state that is neither alive nor dead."

John understood after reading it.

To put it simply, it's like treating your soul like Lego bricks—taking it apart and playing with it.

You can take apart a few more pieces, but you absolutely cannot take them all apart.

Otherwise, they wouldn't even be able to maintain their own existence.

"In my estimation, ten Horcruxes should be the maximum."

"If there's any more, Voldemort himself will become mentally unstable."

"He couldn't possibly not understand this principle."

John nodded thoughtfully.

"Of course, we still need to find out the exact number of Voldemort's Horcruxes so as to avoid making mistakes that could allow Voldemort to continue to live."

Dumbledore waved his hand, and the magical pattern disappeared.

"I'll figure something out, don't worry."

"Do you need any help?" John asked immediately.

"Hmm...you know what, I really need your help this time."

This time, Dumbledore didn't have his usual serious, scholarly face. Instead, he winked at John and gave him a sly, slightly mischievous smile.

John felt a chill run down his spine. Was old Deng up to something...?

"I'm telling you, Hermione won't let you get away with this if you mess around."

Dumbledore smiled without saying a word, but simply raised his wrist, gesturing for John to take it.

John said nothing more and followed Dumbledore, Apparating away from where he stood.

......

After dealing with the Horcruxes with Dumbledore, things were fine for a while.

Although Dumbledore told John before he left that he would come to see him again in two weeks.

But it didn't say why it was looking for him.

So John stopped caring.

A week later, Harry and Sirius made a surprise visit.

"Hey? What are you two doing here?"

John looked at the two people outside the door and asked curiously.

Harry smiled and said.

"Hermione told me that you moved your family to this area, and I happened to be in the Order of the Phoenix today, so I came to see you."

Sirius, on the other hand, walked into the living room as if he knew the place well and casually lay down on the sofa.

Then he said, "You little rascal, you're really trying to pull a fast one on me. You want our Order of the Phoenix to be your free bodyguards, huh?"

Hearing this, John didn't refute it, but instead asked with a smile.

"Hasn't the Order of the Phoenix always been dedicated to eradicating organized crime?"

"If your neighbor were in trouble, would the Order of the Phoenix just stand by and do nothing?"

Sirius was about to retort when Harry suddenly raised his hand and pressed down on his shoulder.

"Of course not, I just think you guys are doing great living here."

"It's so convenient to visit each other whenever we have free time."

Sirius's words were immediately cut off.

"Right, right?"

John put his arm around Harry's shoulder and laughed very affectionately.

That's what you call a good senior student for the people!

After Harry sat down, he began to talk to John about serious matters.

"John, actually, I came here today to ask you something. Do you also know about the Horcruxes?"

John raised an eyebrow at Harry's words.

It seems Dumbledore really did talk to Harry about Horcruxes.

John had previously told Dumbledore to tell Harry sooner rather than later, and not to keep it from him.

Now Harry finally knows about Horcruxes, so he no longer needs to pretend he knows nothing.

"The principal finally told you?"

"Yeah, I only found out at the end of the semester too," Harry nodded, sounding a little resentful.

Sirius Black knew about this important matter, Professor Lupin knew about it, and even Hermione and John knew about it.

But he only found out at the very end.

"Hey, the principal just cares about you too much. He's worried that if you find out about this, the pressure will be too much and it will affect your OWLS exam."

"Also, you still can't use your brain surgery properly."

"We're afraid Voldemort will see our intelligence through the gaps in your thinking."

"That's why he kept it a secret all this time, even though I don't think it was necessary."

John patted Harry on the shoulder and said comfortingly.

Harry understood all of this, but what frustrated him was that he was the one who should have been trusted the most, yet because of Voldemort, the information was passed on to him last.

"The headmaster told me that the locket you found at the Order of the Phoenix last time was one of the Horcruxes?"

"And then you found another Horcrux in the Room of Requirement?"

Harry stopped worrying about the order in which the information was presented and instead pressed John for answers.

"Luck, luck, hahaha."

John was modest in words, but his face was full of a smug "Versailles-style" smile.

It was definitely luck, though.

But luck is also a part of ability.

"Hey, senior, do you still have nightmares?"

John suddenly remembered something and excitedly asked Harry.

Harry was taken aback by the question, but he nodded nonetheless.

"Yes, I still occasionally dream about certain scenes, or Voldemort's emotional changes."

Upon hearing Harry's affirmation, John immediately made a guess.

"Then tell me, is it possible that you could glean information from Voldemort's thoughts to find out where he hid the Horcruxes?"

Harry blinked, momentarily stunned by the statement.

Sirius, who was standing to the side, also seemed to be deep in thought.

"However, my connection with Voldemort's mind is passive; I can't control what Voldemort thinks..."

After a slight pause, Harry didn't think the idea was particularly clever; instead, he pointed out a real problem.

"Are you stupid? Since we can't control it, let's create opportunities ourselves, forcing Voldemort to think about it!"
