Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School

Chapter 272 The Ministry of Magic's Summons

In the days that followed.

Harry maintained this absent-minded state.

No one knew what was wrong with him.

In the end, Ginny stepped in and spoke with Harry privately.

Although John wasn't present, according to Hermione's account, Harry's moral compass shattered because he saw his father in Snape's memories when he was young, and he didn't seem as perfect as he had imagined.

It's commonly known as the house collapsing.

That's why he was depressed and absent-minded.

They didn't know how to comfort Harry about this.

After all, Harry didn't tell the whole story. He only said he wanted to talk to Sirius, but he was also afraid that those memories might be real.

But it's easy to guess that Harry's father probably did something Harry hates, which is why this happened.

Otherwise, if it were just a common bad habit, it wouldn't have caused him such a severe reaction.

John lost interest in this as well.

It's their family matter, so don't meddle.

However, today, Dumbledore suddenly summoned John and Harry to the headmaster's office.

And here, I met Sirius Black, Professor Lupin, and Professor Moody.

"Principal, what's wrong?"

When John and Harry arrived at the office, they were both dumbfounded by the scene before them.

Dumbledore beckoned the two in, then pushed a letter from the table toward them.

"This is a letter from the Ministry of Magic."

"His Excellency the Minister invites you two heroes to the Ministry of Magic for a serious discussion regarding your claims that Voldemort's resurrection has caused social panic."

John was taken aback upon hearing this.

What the heck? They can't solve the problem, so they're planning to deal with the person who started it?

Seemingly sensing John's thoughts, Dumbledore waved his hand.

"Don't worry, Alastor and his team will accompany you the whole time, and there will be other people from the ministry to help you as well."

Professor Moody, who was standing to the side, also snorted and spoke up.

"Perhaps Fudge was overwhelmed by the pressure from the rallied public and made such an idiotic decision because he lost his mind."

"I wanted to put some pressure on you two greenhorns and trick you into clarifying those claims about Voldemort's resurrection."

Oh, this.

How desperate must Fudge have been to think they would agree to this request?

"Can we not go? It feels like a waste of time..."

John said, somewhat speechless.

"Well... actually, no. Fudge used a forced summons, which you can't refuse unless you want to be on the Ministry of Magic's wanted list right now."

"So you at least have to do some superficial cooperation."

Professor Lu Ping, who was standing to the side, said slowly, "If they could refuse, the three of them probably wouldn't be here."

"What's wrong, Harry? You haven't said a word since you came in?"

At that moment, Sirius patted Harry on the shoulder with concern.

For some reason, Harry had been refusing to look at him, and asked with some concern.

"It's nothing..." Harry said calmly, his head down.

Sirius frowned even more at this sight.

Harry is always very clingy to him, no matter what, so this is the first time he's shown such an attitude of not wanting to talk to him.

Sirius looked directly at Dumbledore, seemingly hoping for an explanation: was Harry being bullied at school?

However, Dumbledore didn't know why either; lately he simply hadn't had time to keep track of the children's whereabouts.

So Sirius turned to look at John.

"Don't look at me like that, you need to find Professor Snape."

"Huh? That bastard bullied Harry!?"

Upon hearing John's words, Sirius Black immediately became restless and got up to confront Snape.

But he had only taken two steps when Harry called him back.

Sirius!

"Professor Snape didn't do anything to me..."

"I...I actually want to ask you what my father and I did to Professor Snape back then..."

Upon hearing this information-packed statement, John shrank back.

Sirius Black and Professor Lupin were both taken aback.

They quickly understood the source of Harry's strange behavior.

"Should we avoid this area?"

John asked Professor Moody a question, somewhat uncertainly, in a whisper.

However, without Professor Moody's need for an answer, Dumbledore, like a sprightly old man taking a walk in the park, dragged John and Professor Moody out of the office while stretching his arms.

The door clicked shut.

John had no way of knowing what was inside, so he could only ask Dumbledore for gossip.

What exactly did Snape do to the headmaster in the past?

"John, all you need to know is that everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is to recognize your mistakes in time and take responsibility for them."

Instead of answering John's question directly, Dumbledore offered a pep talk.

But this pretty much tells John the general idea.

It's probably Sirius Black and Harry's father who did something inhumane when he was young, like what he did to Professor Snape.

That's why Professor Snape has always harbored such hatred for Sirius, Lupin, and even Harry.

Oh right, Trent said that before.

They seem to have started some kind of raider organization, and Snape suffered greatly from it.

Could it be some kind of school bullying organization?

Harry hates arrogant and conceited school bullies like Malfoy the most.

Never mind, I won't ask anymore.

He then inquired about his trip to the Ministry of Magic.

"Shall we head to the Ministry of Magic now?"

"That's right, since we can't avoid it, we might as well go and come back sooner."

Dumbledore nodded, but John continued to ask.

"Will you come with me?"

To be honest, being notified so suddenly felt like a trap.

After all, the Ministry of Magic is currently hostile towards them, and there are quite a few of Voldemort's people lurking within its ranks.

"No, Alastor is enough for you."

"I believe Fouché wouldn't be so foolish as to do something unbecoming of a minister on his own turf."

"However, if anything unexpected happens, Alastor has ways to notify me, and I will arrive immediately."

Hearing this, John felt much more at ease.

"Have the Death Eaters been quiet lately?"

This time, it was Professor Moody who spoke.

"They've almost all disappeared; they've all gone into hiding."

"Perhaps they were truly stunned by your exposé and have temporarily gone into hiding."

Dumbledore looked out the window at the few wisps of clouds drifting by and spoke slowly.

"I don't think so. Voldemort would never lie low for fear of being exposed."

"Ministry of Magic infiltration, Arthur's attack, Azkaban's escape, Dementors going out of control, giants being bribed..."

"All signs indicate that he has no intention of lying low."

"Voldemort has made all the necessary preparations to declare war."

John agreed with these words.

He really didn't believe that Voldemort would actually choose to lie low for fear of being exposed because of the news about him and Harry.

So is he holding back some big move?

Just as he was thinking, the office door opened.

Harry, Sirius Black, and Professor Lupin came out together.

Harry finally stopped looking gloomy and regained much of his spirits.

It seems that he has somewhat resolved his inner conflict.

Sirius ruffled Harry's hair affectionately, then looked at Dumbledore.

"Alright, Dumbledore, we can set off now."
