Hogwarts: A little lion in the skin of the Eagle School

Chapter 100 Heading to the Quidditch World Cup

In the end, Hermione was unable to stay overnight.

The reason was simple: Mr. Granger couldn't stand seeing John sleeping with his daughter.

Despite the Merricks' repeated attempts to persuade him to stay, Mr. Granger insisted on taking his daughter back with him.

John wasn't particularly sad about it.

After all, only after Hermione left did his parents still see him as their son.

Unfortunately, Big Orange is gone too.

Summer vacation officially began on the second day.

There wasn't anything particularly special going on in the early part of this holiday, so I won't go into details.

John did his homework and read books as usual, occasionally talking to Hermione on the phone and corresponding with his friends.

Hermione later went on a trip with her family.

Before they went on their trip, the Grangers had invited their family over.

As a result, the elderly couple regretted not going because they had used up all their vacation time.

By mid-August, the date to attend the Quidditch World Cup was drawing ever closer.

......

This morning, Titus sent John a letter sharing the upcoming itinerary.

According to him, the Quidditch World Cup was set up in a desolate swamp.

The Ministry of Magic will open that area in advance so that wizards who come to watch the game can set up camp there beforehand.

Mr. Crowner needed to arrive early to participate in the coordination of the sports department's work and the setup of the venue.

So they will set off a week in advance, which is the day after tomorrow.

Sirius's group is the same; they'll be setting off with them the day after tomorrow.

Titus's letter also stated that Sirius was actually a "nanny" hired by Mr. Crowe.

Because they arrived a week early, all the children needed a parent to look after them, and Mrs. Crow couldn't take care of the children because she had a job.

So he went to visit Sirius Black to catch up, and while he was at it, he gave him the tickets and invited him to come along.

Then when they went to the camp, Mr. Crowe went to work, leaving Sirius Black as the only adult. Even if he didn't want to, he had no choice but to take charge.

Good guy.

Mr. Crowley, these tickets aren't free.

John couldn't help but laugh after reading the letter. Sirius was probably still in the dark, thinking that the tickets were a kind gesture from his junior.

Little did they know that they had been completely outmaneuvered and had become the temporary guardians of these unfortunate children.

Consider the ticket price as your babysitting fee for the next week.

That evening, John told his family about his plans for the day after tomorrow.

He had previously mentioned that he would go to see the Quidditch World Cup at the end of the summer vacation, but the time had not yet been set.

Now that it's settled, the parents naturally have no objections.

Although they had never heard of the Quidditch World Cup, they knew that several of their peers and two families of adults were traveling with them, so they weren't too worried.

What would they think if they knew that the person with the child was a fugitive murderer who appeared on television a year ago?

Although they've been cleared of wrongdoing now, they still seem somewhat unreliable.

Also, the timing was perfect, as the Quidditch World Cup ended just in time for the start of the school year.

So if I go this time, I might not be back until Christmas, or even next summer.

......

Time flew by and it was the day after tomorrow.

It was five o'clock in the morning, just as dawn was breaking.

John awoke from Titus's bed.

Yes, John stayed at Titus's house the night before so that he could leave early this morning.

Ryan and Ethan also moved in.

The three of them were lying sprawled out on the carpet in the center of the tent.

John stretched, then got up and walked towards them, slapping each of them.

"Hmph!"

Titus let out a strange groan before turning over and groggily opening his eyes.

Ryan and Ethan, on the other hand, were much more normal. They rubbed their eyes and sat up.

"It's five o'clock, time to change clothes and get ready to leave."

Seeing that they were all awake, John said a few words and went outside.

When John finished washing up and came out, Crow was already sitting outside, and Mrs. Crow had prepared a sumptuous breakfast for them.

Good morning, John.

"Good morning, Mr. Clown."

Mr. Crow smiled at him and continued.

"Sirius will be here with his men soon. You should all know them, especially the boy who survived the ordeal."

"Of course, we've met a few times at school, and our relationship is alright."

Mr. Crow nodded upon hearing this.

"That's good. You're all the same age, I believe you can get along well."

Soon, Titus and the others also came out and had breakfast together.

The doorbell rang right after we finished eating.

Mr. Crow went to open the door, and standing outside was Sirius Black, along with two men and a woman.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"Hey Sirius, you guys are finally here."

Mr. Crow greeted him with a smile, and Sirius Black also smiled and greeted him.

"We shouldn't be late, right, old classmate?"

"No, the timing is perfect."

As he spoke, Mr. Crow waved to the people inside the room.

"Alright, kids, let's go, time waits for no one."

So everyone put on their backpacks and went outside together.

"Hey kids, long time no see."

Sirius saw them and greeted them with a smile, and they all responded politely.

Harry smiled at them, and Ron nodded back. They already knew about the people traveling with them; Hermione had told them.

Hermione winked playfully at John, a smile playing on her lips.

They talk on the phone almost every two days, so there's no need for much conversation.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, everyone set off in a grand procession.

They all got into Mr. Crowe's extended Beetle van.

The carriage was packed, but the atmosphere was unusually lively.

Titus and his friends, along with Harry Ron, were all Quidditch enthusiasts. They only chatted briefly before they couldn't stop talking.

Hermione and John sat in the last row, chatting quietly about random things.

They really don't have much to share now, since they talk on the phone so often that they've already run out of things to talk about.

The car quickly drove to the outskirts, where Mr. Crow found a place to park.

The group then continued towards the deserted suburban forest, this time not by car, to reach the Quidditch World Cup.

Instead, they are teleported using a magical item called a door key.

This thing can teleport one or more people directly to a pre-set location.

For this Quidditch World Cup, the Ministry of Magic deployed over two hundred Portkeys in Britain for wizards to use.

Soon they arrived at a clearing in the woods, where there was a worn-out rubber tire and some Muggle junk.

Mr. Crow took out his pocket watch and glanced at it.

"Yes, the timing is just right."

"Everyone, stretch out your hands and put them on this tire."

Mr. Crow addressed the crowd, and although some were using the door key for the first time, they quickly followed suit.

After everyone had placed their hands on it, Mr. Crow glanced at his pocket watch again.

"Three, two, one..."

As soon as the countdown ended, an invisible suction force suddenly pulled everyone in.

With a snap, everyone disappeared from their spot.
