Matt narrowed his eyes at Mian's words.

"really……"

He muttered to himself, revealing an expression that suggested he had expected this. What exactly he was thinking was irrelevant; all Mian needed to do at this moment was point her sword at him.

"So what exactly do you want to do, Mr. Matt?"

With undisguised hostility, Mian said coldly:

"You just met with us yesterday, and today a bunch of people have come to kidnap our people. You don't really think we have nothing to do with you, do you? Killing one or two henchmen and destroying the grand plan of the Celestial Cult is more important to us, but if that's your attitude, then we don't mind having a go at you here."

Nothing changes the subject better than an angry question. Mian didn't know what the other person's guesses were about her identity, but after the roundabout admission, the best option to avoid being investigated and exposed was to provoke another conflict of moderate magnitude.

Just then, Leo arrived carrying the sleeping Lisa on his back. This meticulous and crazy guy was covered in blood from the previous battle, so he had put an extra jacket on his back, which he didn't know where he had taken it from, to prevent his and the gangsters' blood from getting on Lisa's clothes.

"Does Your Excellency wish to wage war? To punish this blasphemous and disgusting creature, and to let this sinful and corrupt world be bathed in the light of God once more."

Leo finally forgot to change his words and, once again with an extremely devout expression, uttered the words that had taken him countless turns in his mind to come up with.

But at this moment, it is precisely these sincere, almost frantic words that are most effective.

Looking at Matt in front of him, the tentacles behind him adopted an even more wary posture, and his face grew increasingly serious. Mian couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.

That's it, well done, Leo!

Mian inwardly applauded the previously somewhat timid mixed-race youth. The tougher he was, the more confident he seemed. Matt was clearly not the kind of reckless madman; all his previous words and actions indicated that he would not risk his life for Mian's sake.

"Give me an explanation, Mr. Matt. This is your last chance."

Urging Ryan within the consciousness space forward, the illusory Ithartamuya in Mian's hand emitted bursts of awe-inspiring light.

With a sour face, Mian, accompanied by an eager Leo, seemed poised for a reckless clash with Matt at any moment. This was an extreme pressure maneuver; Mian intended to use this method to prevent Matt from thinking about anything else, ultimately forcing him to submit to his rhythm and be controlled by him to some extent.

Finally, after Mian issued this ultimatum, the man before him relented. His expression softened again, and a smile returned to his face.

"You've misunderstood. As I said before, this matter really has nothing to do with me. But I'm deeply sorry that you had to go through this, so I will make amends."

Matt pulled a small bottle from his pocket, shook it in front of Mian, and said with a smile:

"This is the blood of a Shallow Sea Bone-Stealing Crab, a full 20ml. This is the most valuable thing I can take from my body. Of course, I'll also handle the disposal of the corpses of these guys. Are you two satisfied with this?"

Matt waved the small bottle in his hand for a few seconds, as if showing it to Mian, before tossing it to him.

The moment Matt took out this thing, Ryan in Mian's consciousness space had already started excitedly making a fuss.

"Mian, Mian, that stuff is definitely the blood of the Bone-Stealing Crab, and no unnecessary spells were cast. It's undoubtedly a valuable and rare item for the 'Fisherman,' so you must catch it!"

Mian read Ryan's mind and saw that the guy wasn't lying. Furthermore, the golden mirror fragment containing the cheat code in his pocket didn't react much. Only then did Mian reach out and carefully take the bottle.

Holding it in her hand and glancing at it briefly, Mian realized that the bottle did not seem to be a simple glass bottle, but some kind of crystal product, containing a light blue liquid that shimmered in the light. It was clearly no ordinary object.

"Robben Crystal, the finest material for holding things, the Celestial Church is indeed very powerful."

Ryan first exclaimed in amazement, then excitedly offered his practical advice.

"Just put it in your pocket. These handcrafted bottles are generally safe to store as long as you don't open the cap and pour the contents out. With this much, you can start preparing several large-scale spells."

Mian responded in his mind, then put the small bottle back into his pocket, and then looked at Matt in front of him again.

At this moment, the man had already started moving again. The tentacles were no longer dangling the gangsters, but instead swallowed them whole like slimes, and it was unknown where they were stored.

And that's not all; those tentacles continued to spread, swallowing up the other gang members who were either dead or crippled throughout the construction site, along with the two dying assassins.

This was a technique that Mian couldn't understand at all, and even Ryan was surprised.

"This guy is quite strong; if possible, it's best to avoid conflict with him."

Ryan reminded him somewhat timidly—aside from being stubborn at times, this guy has always been able to be both flexible and assertive.

Mian, however, was more concerned with something else.

"Which person who has ascended to immortality could accomplish such a thing?"

Mian asked within the space of consciousness.

Ryan sat cross-legged on the white plastic chair that had appeared out of nowhere, his fingers resting on his chin. After thinking for a moment, he slowly replied:

"Those tentacles look like living things, perhaps some kind of familiar, but more likely some kind of modified limb. The most skilled in this type of magic are 'Claws' and 'Skin Changers.' 'Claws' excel at mimicking animals, while 'Skin Changers' are better at mimicking humans. Considering he carries the blood of the Bone-Stealing Crab, which is beneficial to the 'Fisherman,' the bone-stealing suits the needs of the 'Skin Changers,' and the crab is also the object of the 'Claws' mimicry, so he's probably one of these two paths."

"Besides imitation, can people on these two paths create remarkably realistic illusions?"

Mian was still thinking about Shirley saying she had seen Matt. Ryan, on the other hand, shook his head at the thought.

"I think I know what you're thinking. Let me tell you, it's impossible. Only a 'Moth' can create that level of illusion. A 'Fisherman' or 'Skuas,' one level below that, might be able to temporarily replicate it using the best materials. But 'Fleabag' and 'Claw'—absolutely not."

As if sensing Mian's concern, Ryan quickly added:

"Of course, there's no need to worry too much about that bearded man. Perhaps what he encountered was a weakened version of the split entity. While it can't change shape as easily as an illusion, just like animals in nature sometimes split themselves into two similar parts, some 'minions' or 'skin-changing individuals' can do something similar. Given his strength, this one we've encountered might also be a clone, so try to avoid conflict with him..."

"Wait, you said a split body?"

Mian interrupted her, her face full of tension.

"I'm asking you, do you mean a clone that, even if it dies, won't threaten the life of the original?"
