I revived the Demonic Sect in North America

Chapter 56 Policewoman, you didn't want this either...

Karen was trembling with rage and said angrily:

"Sir, this is a serious violation of discipline! I will definitely report this truthfully to the Ministry of Internal Affairs afterwards..."

Detective Miller sneered, interrupting her:

"Whatever, Karen. To be honest, I really hope we make it to the Department of Internal Affairs' review stage."

Karen's chest heaved violently, and she finally gritted her teeth and swallowed her words.

Miller didn't waste any more words, showing no concern whatsoever about the conflict he had just had with Karen.

He quickly changed to a new magazine and cocked it with a click.

"Listen carefully. I'll count to three, then I'll rush out to draw fire, and you watch to attack his flank. We'll advance in a cross formation."

Upon hearing this, Karen, forgetting her argument with Miller, immediately said:

"Sir, this is too dangerous! Let me draw their fire and launch the attack!"

"This is an order, Officer Karen! According to the NYPD Manual, in an emergency, you must unconditionally obey the orders of your supervising detective!"

Miller shouted sternly, leaving no room for argument:

"I'm giving you this order as an internment detective! Get ready, Officer Karen!!"

Karen closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and when she opened them again, she had completely suppressed her emotions.

She gave Miller a military salute with a complex expression in her eyes:

"Yes, sir!"

Miller adjusted his posture, lowered his center of gravity, and slowly said:

"three."

"two."

"one!"

As soon as he uttered the word, Miller did not hesitate and rolled to the side out of cover.

Elmer, who was hiding in the darkness, immediately opened fire.

The bullets relentlessly traced Miller's outline.

It hit the ground and sent up a trail of pebbles.

Miller scrambled behind another oil drum bunker, panting and cursing:

"Damn! That guy's marksmanship is amazing!"

Just then, Elmer, skilled and daring, suddenly leaped down from a high place in the shadows.

It cleverly rolls to dissipate force upon landing.

When he got up again, he was already within ten meters of Detective Miller.

The M1911 in his hand was pointed directly at the oil drum where Miller was hiding.

Miller peeked out slightly, and Elmer's bullets burst out from close range.

Miller was startled and quickly ducked back behind the oil drum, shouting:

"Karen! Attack his flank!"

Karen did as instructed, quickly poked her head out, and fired two shots in the direction of the footsteps.

"puff!"

"puff!"

With the sound of two bullets hitting flesh.

What followed was a blood-curdling scream:

"ah!!!!"

However, it was not Elmer who was shot.

Elmer, who appeared to be quite thin, was seen holding Tommy's wife by the collar with one hand.

The dying woman was held up like a sandbag in Karen's direction.

Karen fired two bullets that pierced the old woman's abdomen and thigh.

The old woman suddenly let out a bloodcurdling scream like a pig being slaughtered, and her body began to convulse violently.

"Oh my God!"

Karen gasped in surprise.

Seeing the old woman's mangled and bloody state, her finger froze on the trigger.

I could no longer convince myself to keep firing.

"Karen! Why did you stop firing? Were you shot?!"

Miller was hiding behind the oil drums and couldn't see the details of Elmer's firefight with Karen.

I thought something had happened to Karen.

His concern clouded his judgment, and he couldn't resist risking peeking out to take a look.

In that moment of distraction, Elmer made a move.

He discarded the human shield, crouched low, and strode closer, cutting in from the right side of the oil drum, out of Miller's blind spot.

The next moment, Elmer had already circled around the oil drum, his M1911 pressed against Miller's shoulder.

Miller was startled when he felt a hard texture against his shoulder.

Before he could turn around, Elmer, a ruthless man of few words, pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

"Ugh!"

Miller grunted, blood gushing from his right shoulder as his pistol flew out of his hand.

Elmer seized the opportunity and pounced, his left arm tightening around Miller's neck like an iron hoop.

The gun barrel was pressed hard against his temple.

"Hey, so these are the NYPD's elite agents? Is this all you've got? You didn't even satisfy Old Man Elmer!"

Detective Miller remained silent, his face grim, his heart sinking deeper into despair.

Elmer dragged Miller, slowly moving him out of the oil drum shelter.

The blood seeping from Miller's right shoulder gradually soaked through his police uniform and dripped down his arm.

Elmer shouted in the direction Karen was hiding:

"You little bitch, your boss is in my hands! If you don't want me to splatter his brains out with one burst of bullets, get out here!"

Karen slowly stood up from behind the cover.

Seeing Miller with a gun to his temple, half-dead, she gasped in horror.

Karen leaped out of cover, guns in both hands aimed at Elmer, and gritted her teeth, saying:

"Let him go!"

"You're trying to negotiate with me? Looks like you haven't got the point."

Elmer sneered, swung the butt of his rifle, and smashed it hard into Miller's forehead.

With a loud "bang," Miller's head was smashed open, leaving a bloody gash.

Fresh blood kept flowing down his brow bone.

"Do you have the right to negotiate with me? Are you even worthy?"

Karen screamed in panic:

"stop!"

"Throw the gun away! Kick it over here!"

Elmer's eyes were bloodshot, and his expression was ferocious as he said:

"If you dawdle any longer, I'll shoot him dead!"

"..."

Karen's hands, gripping the gun handle, began to tremble uncontrollably.

Detective Miller shook his head and struggled to say:

"Karen, shoot! Don't worry about me, just shoot!"

Karen burst into tears of despair and said helplessly:

"No! Sir, I'm sorry, I can't do it!"

"Fuck you, Karen, did you even bother memorizing the police manual? How did I end up with such a stupid idiot as a student?!"

Detective Miller spat and shouted:

"Faced with vicious criminals and with your teammate held hostage, giving in and compromising is suicide! If you shoot, at most I'll die; if you put your gun down, we'll all die! Damn it, even if I die, my wife and daughters are waiting for you to support them!"

Karen's pupils contracted sharply, and she shakily raised the muzzle of her gun to point it at Elmer.

Elmer's expression also changed, fearing that Karen might actually be persuaded.

He quickly struck Miller in the back of the neck with the butt of his rifle.

Detective Miller's body went limp, and he fell completely silent.

Karen was startled, gripped the gun handle tightly, and screamed:

"Sir!"

Elmer's expression turned ferocious as he threatened:

"He's not dead yet, you bitch! Put the gun on the ground! Or I'll really shoot! You don't want this guy to die here, do you?"

"Hurry up! I'll count to three, and if you don't release it, I'm really going to shoot!"

"three!"

"two!"

"..."

"Stop! I'll let go!"

Karen screamed.

As if her spine had been removed, she slowly bent over, placed the Glock gun flat on the ground with the muzzle facing outwards.

Elmer pressed the gun against Miller's temple, grinding it forcefully, and shouted triumphantly:

"Kick the gun over here!"

"quick!"

"Do you want to get your superior killed, you filthy bitch!"

With tears in her eyes, Karen braced her toes against the gun barrel and kicked forward with all her might.

She lost control of her strength because she was emotionally agitated.

The pistol slid across the ground past Elmer and landed far behind him.

"Hehehe, what a filthy bitch, both stupid and cheap."

Elmer grinned widely.

"After all that trouble, isn't it all the same result? If you had listened earlier, your boss wouldn't have had to suffer so much."
