I revived the Demonic Sect in North America
Chapter 22 Subduing Justin
Li Ang was no stranger to drugs; after all, thanks to his parents, he had accumulated a wealth of experience in dealing with the aftermath.
At a glance, he knew that the six people were high on drugs and oblivious to the world around them, posing no threat whatsoever.
Li Ang shrank back and quickly spoke to the students behind him in a low voice:
"There are six people ahead, already high on drugs. We'll just walk right through them. Remember, when we get past them, cover your mouth and nose, stay close to me, don't make a sound, and don't touch anything!"
Then he said to Emily:
"Emily, keep an eye on the back for me. One by one, if anyone falls behind or touches something, please pull them back immediately."
Emily nodded vigorously, then turned to the others and repeated:
"Did you hear me? Cover your mouth and nose, stay close, and whatever you do, don't touch anything!"
The students nodded nervously to indicate that they understood.
Only Justin, the muscular white guy, curled his lip, looking unconvinced.
"Walk."
Li Ang was the first to turn the corner, keeping his head down and not looking to the side. He covered the lower half of his face tightly with his sleeve, quickly passed several drug addicts along the other side of the passage, and then looked at the students at the other end of the passage.
The students followed closely behind, each one covering their mouth and nose tightly with their sleeves, collars, or hands, their eyes fixed on the back of the person in front of them, not daring to look to the side for even a second.
Justin, walking at the back of the group, couldn't help but glance at the few drug addicts around the campfire.
Drugs, naked women, campfire.
These things inexplicably attracted him greatly.
As a high school student, the most extreme stuff Justin had ever tried at parties was marijuana rolled into cigarettes, or ecstasy and soda.
I've never seen such a primitive method of roasting and sucking.
His gaze involuntarily drifted to the few sheets of tin foil on the ground, which had already been inhaled by drug addicts.
There was still some residual light brown powder on it.
Curiosity overcame fear, and Justin glanced at the group ahead of him before quietly moving toward the campfire.
Just as he made a move, two iron-like hands suddenly reached out from the side.
A hand covered Justin's mouth.
With his other hand, he gripped Justin's arm tightly and pulled him back sharply.
Jass turned to look.
It turned out to be Li Ang.
At this moment, Li Ang was no longer the gentle and elegant man he had been just moments before.
The veins on his forehead throbbed, and his eyes were as ferocious as knives, like a beast about to devour its prey.
Justin was so shocked that he forgot to resist for a moment, letting Leon, who was half a head shorter than him, drag him to the corner.
Li Ang shoved Justin roughly into the line.
Justin staggered, panting heavily, and immediately snapped:
"Hey, you Chinese kid, what the hell are you doing?!"
"I fucking saved your life, you Manhattan idiot! You're a disgrace to Tribec High School!"
After Li Ang said that, the surrounding students immediately cast strange looks at Justin.
Justin's face turned bright red, and he was both shocked and angry. He was about to retort.
Li Ang, however, didn't want to listen to his nonsense. He grabbed Justin by the collar, pulled him close, almost face to face, and stared at him fiercely.
"Do you know what was on that foil just now? That was fentanyl, a synthetic opioid!"
Justin quickly struggled to get up:
"Fuck you! You Chinese brat, I don't care if you're fentanyl or whatever, let go of me right now, or I'll teach you a lesson!"
The surrounding students were stunned by the sudden conflict.
Emily reacted the fastest, immediately stepping forward to stop her:
"Hey! Leon, stop! Justin didn't do anything wrong, please let him go!"
She tried hard to pull Li Ang's hand away, but found that Li Ang's hand seemed to be welded to Justin's collar and could not be moved at all.
Jennifer, a Chinese-American girl standing nearby, pushed up her glasses, frowned, and complained:
"It's just a little powder, it's not that serious, Li Ang, you're being too rude!"
Li Ang abruptly yanked Justin's collar off.
Justin staggered back a few steps before regaining his balance, panting heavily as he glared at Li Ang.
Li Ang didn't look at him, but turned to the students who were trying to break up the fight, and sneered:
"It's just a little powder, isn't it? You bunch of elites living in the sterile glass dome of Manhattan, do you think all drugs are as safe and fun as the marijuana cookies you secretly share at parties?"
The students blushed and felt guilty upon hearing this.
After all, recreational marijuana was not legal in New York in 2010, unlike in later years.
Even sneaking a party to have fun is illegal.
However, this behavior is not considered shameful within the small circles of the middle class.
On the contrary, it appears quite fashionable and avant-garde.
Therefore, the students were somewhat dismissive of Li Ang's excited reaction.
Deep down, they all thought Li Ang was an ignorant country bumpkin from the slums, making a mountain out of a molehill.
Li Ang was fully aware of the group's sense of superiority, and coldly said:
"Don't you know that fentanyl is fifty to one hundred times more potent than heroin, and it can be absorbed through the skin!"
That little bit of powder you're talking about, just a touch of it and it'll seep into your bloodstream, making you lie on the ground convulsing, and within minutes you'll stop breathing, before you can even call an ambulance!
Do you want to die here and kill everyone?!
Everyone was stunned by Li Ang's imposing manner and words, their expressions filled with surprise and uncertainty.
The stubborn Justin continues to question:
"You Chinese kid, who the hell are you trying to fool? You think I've never done drugs? What kind of drug can kill you just by touching it?"
"Are you kidding me?"
Li Ang was almost laughing in exasperation at this idiot.
He stretched out his hands and waved them in front of Justin, saying:
"Fentanyl can cause poisoning through skin contact, and even trace amounts can be fatal. Remember what I said, go home and use your parents' computer to check the DEA (Denis Agency of America) website, or any reputable medical website! If I mispronounce a single word, I'll chop these hands off for you!"
Such a confident tone left no room for doubt.
Everyone gasped in shock and instinctively moved away from Justin, as if his hands were covered in poison.
Emily felt ashamed and regretful for misunderstanding Li Ang's behavior.
"Your name is Justin, right? You, and all of you, listen up! This isn't a Disney adventure house, this is a rat hole! One of the worst corners of New York City! Everything here, including the trash on the ground, could kill you!"
Li Ang's gaze swept over the panicked faces around him, and he said in an unquestionable manner:
"If you want to get out of here alive and get your damn shiny college applications, put away your Manhattan arrogance and naiveté! Anyone who dares to touch or look at them again, dragging everyone down, can get out! Understand?"
Emily nodded hurriedly and said:
"Understood! Li Ang, we promise to listen to you from now on."
The crowd responded sparsely.
Only Justin remained silent, his head down and hands in his pockets.
Although he was no longer as arrogant as before, he still had a defiant expression on his face.
The group originally wanted to continue exploring, but they found that Li Ang was standing still, staring intently at Justin.
He didn't urge him or say anything, he just quietly watched Justin.
Everyone immediately understood that Li Ang was waiting for Justin to confirm it in person.
This is not a request, it's an ultimatum.
Time ticked by, second by second. The atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
Justin's expression kept changing.
Looking at Li Ang's cold expression and then at the reproachful looks from his companions, he finally deflated like a punctured balloon, lowered his head, and mumbled a "hmm".
