Seeing that Li Yuan had finally come to his senses, Li Yin felt relieved.

"Grandpa, I'll be going now. You stay here and rest well. I'll come pick you up to go to the modern city once the formalities are completed."

Li Yuan stroked his beard, nodded, and a glimmer of light appeared in his eyes.

"Okay, I'll be waiting." After he finished speaking, he added, "Come visit me often, and it would be best if you brought some wine from your place."

"Alright, I'll bring you something delicious next time." Li Yinxun winked at Li Yuan, then turned and walked out of the palace.

Actually, the elderly are just like children. Li Yin knows this very well; she can just coax them a little and they'll be fine.

As soon as she stepped out of the palace gate, she looked up and saw two people sitting on the steps.

The two most powerful figures in the Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin and Empress Zhangsun, were nestled together there.

Empress Zhangsun leaned on Li Shimin's shoulder. Li Shimin's eyes were still red. The two sat quietly, like an ordinary couple, without the airs of an emperor and empress.

Li Yinxun paused, thinking to herself: What's going on? Are you two having a romantic date here?

"Ahem, ahem," she cleared her throat and reminded them, "Sister, brother-in-law."

The two looked up at the sound and saw Li Yin coming out; they quickly stood up.

"Xiao Xun," Li Shimin looked at her with a particularly sincere expression, "thank you."

Li Yinxun was taken aback. It turned out that while she and Li Yuan were talking inside, these two were eavesdropping outside.

She couldn't stand this, so she quickly waved her hand and laughed, "Brother-in-law, didn't you say before that we're family? Why are we being so polite? If you keep being so polite, I'll start charging you!"

Seeing that she really didn't care, Li Shimin didn't say anything more.

"Auntie! Auntie!"

A small figure came running over from the side.

The little princess, with her short legs, rushed into Li Yinxun's arms.

"Auntie, is there a secret you're telling me?"

Li Yinxun looked down at her, hugged her in his arms, and asked with a smile.

"What secret is it? Can you tell your auntie?"

The little princess looked left and right, and only when she was a little away from Li Shimin and Empress Zhangsun did she whisper in Li Yinxun's ear, covering her mouth with her little hand.

"I've got money now, I'm giving it to my aunt."

Li Yinxun raised an eyebrow and asked curiously.

"Where did you get the money?"

Sizi wrapped his arms around her neck, looked left and right, and when he was a few steps away from Li Shimin and Empress Zhangsun, he whispered in her ear, "It's from Grandfather."

Li Yinxun chuckled. This little girl had even managed to swindle the Emperor Emeritus out of his private savings.

She gently pinched Sizi's cheek and praised him.

"Our Sizi is so good to Auntie, but you have to hide this money well, okay? Don't let anyone know."

"Hmm! Hide it well, don't let anyone find out!" The little princess looked around, afraid of being seen, her two little hands tightly covering her pockets, looking both nervous and serious.

Li Yinxun was so charmed by her that he couldn't resist giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Okay, Auntie knows, hide it now."

Sizi nodded vigorously and covered her hands even tighter.

"Guanyinbi, Sizi can't even see me anymore. Her heart and eyes are only for her aunt." Li Shimin said sourly, looking at the group of people in the distance.

Empress Zhangsun simply couldn't understand Erlang's thought process. Sizi was his daughter; how could she be kidnapped?

She gave him a helpless look.

"Wouldn't it be good to have another person to care for Sizi? You're just worrying unnecessarily."

Li Shimin snorted, saying nothing, but a willing smile appeared on his face.

The group returned to the Lizheng Hall.

After sitting down, Li Shimin looked at Li Yinxun and brought up the topic again.

"Xiao Xun, the money you use is different from that in the Tang Dynasty. I'm thinking that I can't keep letting you spend money all the time. Take whatever you can get from the palace that you can exchange for money."

Li Yinxun quickly waved her hand: "No need, no need, brother-in-law, we still have plenty of money left over from buying the phone, you really don't need to give me any more."

"That's money for a phone, let's keep things separate." Li Shimin insisted, "You saved Guanyinbi and took such good care of Sizi, I can't let you suffer a loss."

"Besides, that was for buying you a phone. Let's keep things separate. You've gone through so much trouble and effort for so many of us to get our residency permits and handle all the paperwork. We can't let you bear these expenses alone."

Li Yinxun really didn't know what she wanted. Her knowledge of history was limited, so how would she know what things in the Tang Dynasty palace would be valuable in modern times?

What if she takes a national treasure and gets discovered, and people mistake her for a tomb raider?

Just as she was worrying, the little princess came wobbling over, carrying a vase.

"Auntie, I want this one."

It was a small white glazed bottle, the glaze as smooth as snow, about a foot tall, and looked quite small and exquisite.

Li Yinxun glanced at it and thought to herself, "This small bottle shouldn't be worth much money, right?"

She pointed to the small bottle in the little princess's arms and said to Li Shimin, "Brother-in-law, I want that one, is that alright?"

Li Shimin looked at the bottle, then at Li Yinxun, somewhat surprised.

"I don't think this stone bottle is worth much. You can take it if you want." He waved his hand generously. "If you want anything else, just tell me."

Li Yinxun's eyes lit up, and her mind raced.

"No money? Then she won't be polite."

"Brother-in-law, since you're so generous, I don't need any gifts. Just bestow upon me the title of princess! Or even a county princess would be fine!"

Li Shimin was taken aback, not expecting her to make this request.

Empress Zhangsun couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle. Looking at Li Yinxun's serious expression, she thought that this girl was truly audacious and dared to say anything.

"Hahaha, after you've settled your household registration and cured Gao Ming's leg, what's wrong with me bestowing upon you the title of princess? Hahahaha."

Li Shimin grew increasingly fond of Li Yinxun's personality; she was straightforward and frank, unafraid of the emperor's wrath, and never flattered or fawned; she was gentle, kind, and considerate at heart.

Empress Zhangsun covered her mouth and chuckled, "Xiao Xun has contributed so much to our Tang Dynasty, it wouldn't be unreasonable to bestow upon her the title of princess."

"Guanyinbi is right. Xiaoxun, you can take this bottle. I'll discuss the princess's matter with the ministers when the time is right." Li Shimin nodded with a smile.

Li Yinxun was surprised that Li Shimin agreed without even thinking. "Sister, brother-in-law, are you serious?"

Li Shimin snorted arrogantly, "I am the Son of Heaven, what I say is true, don't worry, I will definitely grant your wish."

"Thank you so much, sister and brother-in-law," Li Yinxun said, picking up the little princess. "Goodbye, sister and brother-in-law. I'll be going now. Call me if you need anything."

After Li Yinxun finished speaking, a flash of light appeared, and he disappeared from the hall.

"Hey, my daughter!" Li Shimin reached out, only to grab empty air. He was furious. "Fine, you can go back, but why did you take my daughter with you! She's my daughter, not yours!"
