The curled-up red dragon opened its eyes and saw the intruder.

Two living, dragon-blooded prey that have intruded into its territory!

It opened its mouth.

The mouth was full of jagged, sharp teeth, with bits of flesh and bone stuck between them, and dried blood still clinging to the tongue. Deep in the throat, a dark red light was gathering.

That was dragon breath, the most destructive weapon in the red dragon bloodline.

But the light only lasted for a moment before going out.

The injury affected its dragon breath glands.

The dark red light struggled in its throat for a few moments, as if it were stuck in something, and then with a "poof," it dispersed, spewing out only a small ball of dark red flame and a large amount of thick smoke.

The flames landed on the rubble at Motu's feet, turning several stones red-hot, but causing no real damage.

Its injuries have severely hampered its combat capabilities.

The red dragon let out an angry roar, abandoned its dragon breath, and pounced directly at the dragon.

It is huge, but it is not slow at all.

With its three legs exerting force, the five-meter-long body charged towards Motu, bringing a foul stench with it. Its claws plowed four deep furrows in the ground, and pebbles exploded beneath its claws, flying to both sides like cannonballs.

The gaping maw was wide open, large enough to swallow Motu's entire head, and its two rows of sharp teeth gleamed with a dark yellow light in the darkness.

Motu did not retreat.

His right claw rose, and the bone beneath the scales instantly turned metallic.

The bronze luster emanating from between the finger bones was particularly striking in the dark cave.

He met the red dragon's charge head-on and punched its jaw.

"Bang--!"

The dull thud of metal colliding exploded in the cave, the echo bouncing back and forth between the cave walls, causing gravel to fall from the cave ceiling.

The red dragon's charge was abruptly halted.

Its head was hit and thrown upwards, its whole body tilted forward due to inertia, and its front paws carved several deep grooves in the ground before it could barely stabilize itself.

It shook its head, and the madness in its vertical pupils intensified.

Motu took two steps back, his right arm feeling slightly numb.

The scales on his claws were intact, but a dull pain came from his finger bones.

The red dragon's skull is much harder than that of a shallow-water crocodile; this punch felt like hitting an iron mountain.

The red dragon pounced again.

This time it learned its lesson and didn't charge head-on, but instead swung its tail to the side.

The thick tail swept across the air with a whooshing sound, so fast that it tore through the air and emitted a sharp whistling sound.

Motu had no time to dodge and raised his left arm to block.

"Bang--!"

The tail lashed out at his left forearm, the bronze bone striking the scale-covered tail with a dull thud.

Motu's body was pulled to the side and he was half a step away. The gravel under his feet was crushed, but his feet were still rooted to the ground.

A white mark was left on the scales of the left forearm, with a few scales slightly raised at the edges, but not broken.

The red dragon's vertical pupils suddenly contracted.

It probably couldn't understand why this blue dragon, which was smaller than itself, could withstand its full-force tail attack.

But it didn't have time to think about it.

Shark White charged up from the side.

It had been waiting for this opportunity.

The moment the red dragon whipped its tail, its center of gravity shifted, and the old wound on its right side was fully exposed.

Its bent right hind leg, with its shattered scales and atrophied muscles, was the weakest point in its entire body.

The shark-white's three-layered serrations opened to their limit, and its silvery-white form drew an arc in the darkness, biting down on the red dragon's right hind leg.

"Click—"

Teeth pierce through scales, cut into muscles, and strike bones.

The red dragon let out a mournful roar, its entire body trembled violently, and its already overburdened hind leg made a clattering sound as the shark bit down, its scales shattering and blood gushing out.

It frantically thrashed its hind legs, trying to shake the white shark off.

But Shark White just won't loosen its grip.

This is its signature move: once it bites, it won't let go, no matter how much it's shaken around or even if its tail lashes at it.

The red dragon's tail lashed out and slammed hard into the white shark's back.

Once, twice, three times.

Silvery-white scales burst open, blood splattering everywhere, but Shark White gritted its teeth, its three layers of serrated teeth embedded in its flesh, remaining motionless.

"Motu—!" it roared incoherently.

Motu had already circled around to the side of the Red Dragon.

His claws rose simultaneously, the bones beneath the scales becoming entirely metallic, a bronze luster emanating from between the finger bones, condensing into two clusters of dark blue lightning at the tips of his claws.

He didn't use any fancy moves; he simply poured all his lightning magic into his claws and then slammed them into the old wound on the side of the red dragon's neck!

That's where the red dragon's scales are weakest.

A few broken scales hadn't fallen off yet, revealing the pink flesh and pulsating blood vessels underneath.

Motu's claws pierced the wound, the bronze bones scraping against the flesh, producing a teeth-grinding sound.

A pale blue arc of electricity shot from the claw tip, traveling along the wound deep into the muscles, blood vessels, and nerves—

Red Dragon's body suddenly stiffened.

The paralyzing effect of the electric arc exploded within its body, spreading from its neck to its limbs.

Its forelegs began to twitch as if it had been electrocuted, its hind legs lost strength, and its tail drooped limply.

It opened its mouth as if to roar, but the muscles in its throat were no longer under its control, and it only made a muffled gurgling sound, like the last struggle of a drowning person.

Then it crashed to the ground.

The five-meter-long body crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The scattered bones were smashed and flew everywhere, some were crushed, making a cracking sound.

The red dragon's eyes were still open, but the madness in its vertical pupils was gradually fading, replaced by something Motu couldn't understand.

The shark opened its mouth, took two steps back, and gasped for breath.

Several bloodstains appeared on its back, and several pieces of its silvery-white scales were broken, but its vertical pupils were full of excitement.

"Well done!" it shouted. "It's down!"

Motu remained vigilant.

He walked up to the red dragon's head, raised his claws, and aimed the tips at its eyes.

The red dragon did not struggle.

Its body had completely lost its strength due to the paralysis caused by the electric arc, and its four legs lay sprawled on the ground like a puddle of mud.

Its breathing was heavy, and with each breath, blood foam gushed from the corner of its mouth, leaving a dark red stain on the gravel.

Then, its eyes changed.

The madness in those dark red vertical pupils was fading.

It wasn't a slow, gradual decline, but a sudden clarity, like the receding tide.

The turbidity dissipated, and the pupils focused. Something within them—something belonging to intelligent beings—was awakening.

Red Dragon looked at Motu.

It looked at him, and looked at him for a long time.

Then it opened.

His voice was hoarse and indistinct, as if he hadn't spoken in a long time, and the muscles in his throat had forgotten how to make a sound.

Every word was laced with blood and foam, spilling from the corner of his mouth and trickling down the lines of his scales.

"I am……"

It gasped for breath, the light in its vertical pupils struggling between flickering.

"I am Nagus, the 'Crimson Wings'... his twin brother."

Its voice suddenly became clear for a moment, like a final burst of light before death.

Those vertical pupils were fixed on Mo Tu, and something was burning deep within them.

"Kill me,"

Its voice became incoherent again, and blood gushed out, flowing from the corner of its mouth onto the ground.

"You'll regret this!"

The cave was quiet for a moment, but was then drowned out by a louder sound.

"Oh ho! I thought you were going to say something else?! You dare threaten us even when you're about to die!"

Motu pressed its claws against the red dragon's throat, where the scales were thinnest, with only a layer of skin covering the trachea and blood vessels.

He looked down at the red dragon, somewhat amused and exasperated.

"You, a frostborn banished to the Dark Forest, dare to intimidate us by uttering the name of a true dragon?"

The red dragon's vertical pupils contracted slightly.

"You treat him like a brother,"

Motu's voice was arrogant.

"Does he know about this himself?"

The red dragon didn't speak. It opened its mouth, and a muffled gurgling sound came from its throat, as if it wanted to say something but couldn't utter anything.

Shark White peeked over from the side, its three-layered serrated edges splitting open, revealing a mocking smile.

"If this were the old days of dragons..."

Its voice was slow and leisurely, with a condescending mockery.

"A dragon beast like you, whose real name you can't even be called, was stomped to death as soon as it hatched!"

Still trying to build a relationship?

People might not even consider you one of their own!

The sound was piercing, and the burning light in the red dragon's vertical pupil went out.

It didn't go out suddenly, but dimmed little by little, as if someone had covered an oil lamp with a cloth, slowly, slowly pressing it down until the last ray of light disappeared.

Its eyes were still open, but the pupils had lost focus, reflecting the darkness of the cave ceiling.

Motu's claws pierced through.

Fresh blood gushed out.
