Huayu97: Starting with Wu Song Fighting the Tiger
Chapter 68 An Accidental Romance with Airplanes
The flight attendant wore a small blue hat with a gold badge pinned to it. Her skin was as white as a peeled egg, and her features were exquisite, especially her eyes, which were as clear as autumn water. When she smiled, two shallow dimples appeared at the corners of her mouth, making her so beautiful that it was impossible to look away.
What's even more remarkable is that she carries a faint scent of gardenias, which smells exceptionally pleasant.
"Sir? Sir?" The flight attendant couldn't help but call out again when she saw Liu Xiang staring at her in a daze. Her smile deepened and her eyes held a hint of playfulness.
Liu Xiang then snapped out of her daze, quickly averted her gaze, and scratched her head somewhat embarrassedly: "Uh... a cup of tea will do, thank you."
"Okay, please wait a moment." The flight attendant smiled and nodded, then turned and gracefully walked towards the tea room. Her gait was beautiful; her waist was slender, and her steps were light, like a butterfly fluttering in the air.
Soon, the flight attendant brought over a steaming cup of tea and handed it to Liu Xiang. Her fingers were slender and long, her nails neatly trimmed and painted with a light pinkish-nude polish. "Sir, your tea."
"Thank you." Liu Xiang took the teacup, her fingertips accidentally brushing against the flight attendant's hand. Both of them were startled for a moment, then their eyes met again.
The flight attendant's face flushed like a ripe apple. She quickly withdrew her hand, her voice even sweeter than before, tinged with a hint of shyness: "Sir, is this your first time flying to Dali?"
Liu Xiang nodded: "Yes, it's my first time flying over there."
"You certainly know how to choose; business class is much more comfortable," the flight attendant said with a smile, her eyes filled with curiosity. She looked Liu Xiang up and down in his suit, then glanced at the stylish backpack beside him. "You don't look like a businessman on a business trip; you seem more like an artist?"
Many flight attendants are worldly-wise and often encounter celebrities and big bosses. Moreover, flight attendants these days tend to have a natural affinity for young people who appear sophisticated and distinguished. After all, those who can afford to fly business class are either incredibly wealthy businessmen or promising actors.
Liu Xiang felt a little embarrassed by her gaze, smiled, and revealed a set of white teeth: "I guess so. I'm an actress. I just finished filming a movie and now I'm going to Yunnan to film a new one."
"Wow! It's you, Mr. Actor!" The flight attendant's eyes lit up instantly, her tone filled with excitement. She moved closer to Liu Xiang, lowering her voice slightly, and asked with a hint of curiosity, "What kind of work are you filming? Is it a movie or a TV series?"
Liu Xiang smiled modestly: "There are two period dramas that haven't aired yet, you probably wouldn't know them if I told you."
He didn't want to mention filming "Water Margin" and "Princess Pearl," as those shows are still in production and haven't even aired yet, so mentioning them would be pointless.
The flight attendant, however, didn't seem to mind at all, and instead smiled even more sweetly: "It's okay, I believe you'll definitely become a big star in the future! You're so handsome, your acting skills must be amazing too!"
Liu Xiang blushed slightly at the compliment and quickly changed the subject: "By the way, I haven't asked your surname yet?"
"My surname is Zhao, and my name is Zhao Mei." The flight attendant blinked, her smile bright. "And you, sir?"
"My name is Liu Xiang."
"Mr. Liu Xiang," Zhao Mei read his name aloud, a smile curving her lips, "what a beautiful name."
The two chatted back and forth. Liu Xiang learned that Zhao Mei was from Shanghai and had been a flight attendant for two years, flying the Beijing-Dali route for almost half a year. Zhao Mei also learned that Liu Xiang was going to Dali to film a Hong Kong martial arts drama, and her eyes were full of envy.
"Hong Kong martial arts dramas are amazing!" Zhao Mei's eyes sparkled. "Every time I fly to Dali, I see so many Hong Kong stars! Mr. Liu, when you get to the film set, could you please get me an autograph? I don't need many, just one will do!"
"No problem!" Liu Xiang patted her chest and assured him, "I'll definitely get it for you when I meet the Hong Kong stars!"
"Thank you so much!" Zhao Mei smiled like a blooming peach blossom. She took out a small notebook and a pen from her pocket and handed them to Liu Xiang. "Mr. Liu, could you please sign this for me? I think you'll definitely become a big star someday, and then my notebook will be worth a fortune!"
Liu Xiang took the notebook and pen, wrote her name on it, and drew a small smiley face.
Zhao Mei took the notebook and tucked it into her bosom like a treasure, her smile growing even sweeter. She poured Liu Xiang another cup of tea and secretly slipped him a packet of airline snacks—the kind of beautifully packaged chocolates that were quite rare in those days.
"I brought this myself, Mr. Liu, please try it." Zhao Mei's voice was soft, her eyes filled with a hint of shyness and a subtle, almost imperceptible, affection.
The man in the suit sitting next to him couldn't help but laugh and say, "Young man, you're really lucky! The flight attendant actually chatted with you for so long today and even gave you snacks!"
Zhao Mei's face flushed instantly. She glared reproachfully at the man in the suit, then stole a glance at Liu Xiang, her eyes filled with even deeper affection. She gently bit her lip and whispered in defense, "Sir, please don't talk nonsense. This is Mr. Liu's first time taking this route; I was just doing my best to be hospitable."
The man in the suit laughed and stopped teasing the flight attendant, but gave Liu Xiang a meaningful look.
Liu Xiang held the bag of chocolates, knowing full well its meaning, and could sense Zhao Mei's feelings at that moment.
The plane flew smoothly through the clouds, with an endless expanse of blue sky and white clouds outside the window.
Sunlight streamed through the porthole and fell on Zhao Mei's face, giving her a golden glow that made her look like a painting.
Zhao Mei's voice was sweet and soft, and her laughter was clear and melodious, like a wind chime. She would occasionally hand Liu Xiang tissues and refill her tea, and she would also quietly drape her shawl over Liu Xiang's legs—the air conditioning in the cabin was a bit chilly, and she was afraid Liu Xiang would get cold.
The shawl carried her faint scent of gardenias and a hint of her body warmth, and Liu Xiang felt a gentle tickle in her heart.
He felt a deep sense of emotion. In his previous life, he was just an ordinary person. How could he have ever been so favored by such a beautiful flight attendant?
The plane flew for about three hours before finally landing slowly at Dali Airport.
Liu Xiang packed her things, stood up, and smiled at Zhao Mei: "Sister Zhao Mei, I've arrived. Thank you for taking care of me today."
Zhao Mei's eyes were full of reluctance. She took a slip of paper from her pocket and carefully stuffed it into Liu Xiang's hand, her voice soft and pleading: "Mr. Liu, this is my pager number. Remember to call me when you get to Dali... Also, please be sure to get my autograph!"
The handwriting on the note was delicate, with a touch of girlish charm, and a small smiley face was drawn at the end.
Liu Xiang nodded, clutching the slip of paper with the pager number written on it: "Definitely, goodbye Sister Zhao Mei!"
