"What exactly is this thing?"

In another part of the manor, Luo Yue was keeping watch over his senior classmate on the sickbed while opening his mind space to play with this somewhat strange ball of light.

This is one of the 'spoils' left behind when the super-giant mech from the Civil Engineering department crushed that theater, and it's also the most special one among them.

It looked like a ball of intangible light, but you could reach out and hold it, and it had a delicate and warm feel to it. It was strangely easy to squeeze, but subconsciously you felt that it should be a pocket watch.

The visual, tactile, and intuitive sensations are completely different, which is quite amazing.

Luo Yue fiddled with the ball of light in his hand for a long time, but couldn't figure out what it was for or whether it would trigger an upgrade to his mental space. At a loss for the moment, Luo Yue stopped worrying about it and found a place to put the ball of light aside.

Because he subconsciously thought it was a pocket watch, he put it into the clock tower that was hanging upside down in mid-air.

Aside from this somewhat special trophy, the most valuable item left is the five "puzzle pieces" that automatically drilled into Royo's mind.

One of the pieces was one he was familiar with, and he already had a copy in his mind—the "Type II puzzle," which was also the most practical one at the moment.

When I acquired that piece before, my mind space gained two new functions: [Sacrifice] and [Gift], which in turn gave rise to two additional functions: [Spiritual Absorption] and [Spiritual Gift], greatly enhancing my abilities.

Now, acquiring another piece not only unlocks new functions for the thinking space but also significantly enhances its previous functions, maintaining its high value.

But Luo Yue didn't have time to ponder the changes, so he turned his attention to the other puzzle pieces.

The remaining four puzzle pieces are all of the same type, but they are clearly different from the two types he already has. For the time being, Luo Yue named them the "Type 3" puzzle pieces.

He stared at the patterns on it for a moment and felt that this type of puzzle seemed to be related to thinking and evolution.

Moreover, even though I don't understand it, I have a strange confidence that this type of puzzle is easier to understand than the previous two.

Currently, Luo Yue has three types of puzzle pieces in his mind. The most numerous of them is the type one that he gets every day through meditation. But it is precisely this type that is the most inexplicable. He gets so many of them, but there is no improvement at all. He doesn't know what use they are.

"My dear teacher Celestina and Don Quixote, you must put in more effort and crack the secrets of these puzzles as soon as possible."

As Luo Yue spoke, he casually flipped through the last remaining spoils, which were the luggage of the other guests.

With the theater gone, those people were rescued, but they certainly couldn't take their luggage with them. Unfortunately, Luo Yue didn't manage to retrieve everything; he only managed to collect a dozen or so.

The previous 30 guests, apart from him and Lemir, all had at least 5-6 sets of luggage, totaling at least 200 pieces, but they only managed to salvage this little bit, making Royo feel like he had lost out big time.

But after a quick look, he discovered that the dozen or so pieces of luggage were incredibly valuable, consisting almost entirely of high-quality magical artifacts, equipment, potions, and scrolls, or at the very least, jewelry and gold. There were no clothes or food.

There were also some money pouches mixed in. Luo Yue collected them and counted them. Including what he had taken before, there were more than 600 gold coins in total. However, 100 of them were not issued by the Chaton Empire, and they were the currencies of the other two regimes. He would have to find a way to exchange them.

As for the magical artifacts and other valuable items, Luo Yue was unsure of their exact value, but he figured they must be quite expensive. So, all things considered, it didn't seem like a bad deal.

"600 gold coins, if converted to cash, could buy a large villa in a second-tier city on Earth. I shouldn't have to worry about money for a while."

With this loot, plus the enhanced [Source of Magic], Luo Yue felt that the [Night Banquet] had been quite fruitful.

But I didn't feel much joy, because I still hadn't gotten past the Great Witch...

He never expected that he would alarm such an important person. In his haste, he didn't have time to fabricate lies or prepare a script, so he could only tell the truth selectively.

However, Donald's [Disguise Technique] was indeed very effective. Even that great witch did not realize that Luo Yue was not actually a mage, nor did she discover the matter of liquid magic. The two biggest flaws were thus concealed.

However, Luo Yue did not dare to be careless. He was not sure if his words would convince the Great Witch, and he was also thinking about how to deal with her further probing questions.

Just then, Lemir, lying on the sickbed, suddenly woke up and weakly called out to him:

"A junior high school student?"

"Senior, you're awake? Here, it's time for your medicine."

Luo Yue quickly took out a bottle of potion to restore mental strength and brought it to Lemir's lips.

But she smelled the bitterness of the medicine, frowned, made a face, and said in a coquettish tone:

"Ugh~ This medicine is so bitter, I don't want to drink it unless my junior feeds it to me with his mouth..."

"Ahem~ McVeigh is watching from the side."

"Sorry to bother you, just pretend I'm not here."

McVeigh woke up around the same time as Lemire, but seeing that he seemed to be the third wheel, he quickly closed his eyes and clumsily pretended to be asleep.

Although Lemir is passionate and bold when no one is around, she is still very reserved and ladylike in front of strangers. The thought that her coquettishness had been heard made her blush and shrink into the quilt, only revealing the bow hair clip on her head.

"Let's get down to business first. How are you feeling? Is there anything bothering you?"

"I feel mostly fine, just a bit dizzy and weak, like after drowning..."

McVision began, describing to Roy the feeling of falling into an abyss he had just experienced, before turning to ask:

"You can get up so quickly? You really are the most well-behaved one among us."

"Actually, I..."

Just as Luo Yue was about to speak, someone suddenly entered; it was one of the mages who had interrogated him earlier.

"Royo of Joshua's Tower, the Great Witch wishes to see you. Come with me... Huh? You two are awake?"

The monk temporarily set aside Luo Yue, went over to check on the two patients, and then nodded.

"It's nothing serious, just need some rest."

After saying that, he took Luo Yue and left, returning to the previous reception room.

By this time, all the bystanders had been cleared out, leaving only the witch's hat floating in the air. As soon as Luo Yue entered, she said somewhat impatiently:

"I would like to invite you to study at the academy."

"Huh?"

Luo Yue was stunned for a moment, somewhat unable to follow the other person's train of thought.

Fortunately, the other party added:

"To be precise, First-Order Mage Luo Yue, due to your previous outstanding performance, you have been exceptionally granted the qualification to study at the Higher Academy. Pack your things as soon as possible and report to headquarters."
