"Here's a mecha with a fantasy art style..."

"What should I put here? Oh well, I'm too lazy to think about it, I'll just put a bubble tea shop here."

"What's missing... Oh right! My Star Destroyer!"

Luo Yue stood in the center of a deserted town, making a "picture frame" gesture with his hands. He aimed at a patch of sky he had previously chosen and gradually enlarged the "picture frame." A magnificent star destroyer, covered with cannons of all sizes, then appeared in the vast sky.

Beneath this massive star destroyer stands a magnificent palace, its architecture modern yet incorporating classical and sci-fi elements. Hidden beneath it is a leg that allows it to stand up when necessary.

Looking around the entire town, one sees a bizarre mix of things: an upside-down European-style clock tower, a Gothic church shrouded in mist, a sci-fi-style floating laboratory, modern skyscrapers, classical Chinese gardens, and ordinary shops and inns.

Overall, it's not very aesthetically pleasing and exudes a kind of mad capriciousness, but Luo Yue likes it very much. It's a masterpiece that he has painstakingly created over many years.

Unfortunately, these are all fake, no matter how lifelike they look or feel...

Everything here exists only in Luo Yue's mind space. It is a unique ability he awakened after transmigrating to this other world. It is like a landscape creation game in which he can do whatever he wants, and construct and materialize whatever he wants.

However, these things cannot be taken out, nor do they help him in reality. They cannot create life or living things; they are merely a relatively realistic delusion.

So, Royo was all alone in the entire city, without even a dog by his side, making him less like the character in that classic zombie movie.

"If I could become a mage, I should be able to use the power of magic to bring the things here into reality and bring a little shock to this other world..."

"But can I really become a mage?"

As Luo Yue was still muttering to himself, he suddenly heard a sharp alarm bell ringing from the upside-down clock tower.

"Again? Perfect, let's test my newly built Star Destroyer."

Perhaps to prevent boredom, the town is attacked every now and then by all sorts of bizarre monsters. They are numerous and of unknown origin. If they cannot be defended, they will rush in and wreak havoc, like locusts, destroying the streetscape that Royo has worked so hard to create.

Fortunately, having played for so many years, Luo Yue was well-prepared. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers crisply, bringing the entire town to life.

The palace stood up, revealing the 200-meter-caliber annihilation cannon inside; rows of mechs lined up in front of the palace gates spread their wings and took off to meet the enemy; several skyscrapers flipped and deformed, revealing densely packed missile launchers inside.

The floating laboratory envelops the town in an energy barrier; small shops and milk tea shops emit beams of lasers, weaving a dense protective net across the streets; the foundation of the Chinese garden cracks open, from which rises a colossal defensive tower hundreds of meters high.

Finally, the Star Destroyer jumped over the town, and dozens of main guns turned their muzzles and began charging; fighter jets were launched from the deck and circled around to provide escort; the upside-down clock tower was responsible for playing tense and exciting battle music.

Then, the battle ended in less than two seconds...

Before Luo Yue could even get a good look at what the monsters that had come were, they were all obliterated by a salvo from the Star Destroyer's main guns, leaving not even a trace.

"The game gets easier and easier as you play. I wish I could be this good in real life..."

Luo Yue shrugged helplessly.

Back when he first opened this mental space, the invasion of those monsters caused him a lot of trouble. He often played until he was drenched in sweat, but he also enjoyed it.

But as the town grew larger and the equipment became more advanced, the monsters became weaker and weaker, and they were easily wiped out, leaving no gaming experience whatsoever.

The key point is, there are no rewards!

These monsters are endless, but they don't drop gold coins or experience points, and they don't even leave a corpse when they die. They are purely there to provide emotional value, and they seem to be some kind of fantasy.

Having just finished clearing out the monsters, Luo Yue heard a melodious bell ringing from afar.

"Time to get up."

As he spoke, his consciousness left this mental space, and he opened his eyes in reality, returning from that bizarre and wonderful town to a narrow room of only a dozen square meters.

This is his dormitory, dimly lit, simple, poorly ventilated and poorly lit, with only a few old pieces of furniture, nothing special.

Luo Yue got up and, as usual, did a dozen sets of push-ups and squats in the cramped space before starting his routine morning exercise.

He didn't stop until sweat soaked his muscular physique and eight-pack abs. He then found a towel to wipe himself dry, put on a gray apprentice robe, and pinned a wooden badge in the shape of a purple lily to his chest, signifying that he was a magic apprentice belonging to the Purple Lily School.

He has been in this fantasy world of "swords and magic" for 16 years. He was an abandoned baby at first, but was fortunately found by a kind old woman who took him to a small mountain village that didn't even have a name. He grew up eating food from many families.

With his cleverness as a transmigrator, Luo Yue helped the small mountain village gradually become richer. At the same time, he was also working hard to manage the town in his mind space, making it as solid as a rock, hoping that one day it could shine in reality.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned; the town remains a mere landscaping project to this day...

So Luo Yue decided to venture out and make his way in the world. Since the abilities of transmigrators were unreliable, he would work hard to become a mage, make a name for himself, and then return home in glory, allowing everyone in the village to live a truly good life.

He then brought the tuition fees raised for him by the village and carried everyone's expectations to this mage tower, becoming a magic apprentice.

However, five years have passed, and no matter how hard he tries or what methods he tries, he has not been able to awaken his magic. He has also undergone many tests and there is no problem with his physique, but he is inexplicably immune to magic.

Left with no other choice, he could only work hard to improve his physical condition so that if he couldn't make a living in the future, he could go back to the village to farm.

........................

"Royo, are you awake?"

A voice came from outside the dormitory door.

"woke up."

Luo Yue tidied up briefly, opened the door, and stood outside his familiar classmate, Lar.

"You... got beaten up again?"

Looking at the deep black eye sockets on Lar's face, Luo Yue quickly asked.

"No, no, if that old drunkard doesn't cause trouble outside, who would come to beat me up? It was that old bastard who made me guard the basement all night; I was exhausted."

"A basement? Everyone in the world knows it's empty inside; even mice would sneer at it. Why would it need to be guarded?"

"You weren't here yesterday, and the old drunkard went out drinking and won an antique. He put it in the basement, and it looks like it's worth some money, right? He plans to take it to town to sell next week, and he asked me to watch over it to prevent the rats from gnawing on it."

This sounds very abstract. How could a dignified mage not even be able to deal with a mouse?

But when applied to their mentor, the old drunkard Joshua, it seems perfectly normal; this old man has done even more abstract things.

This includes, but is not limited to, getting drunk and harassing a waiter in a pub and getting beaten up;

He was furious afterwards and took all five of his students to settle the score, but at the crucial moment the magic failed and they all got a beating.

He had been lying in bed for half a month, and his underwear had faded, but he thought he had a terminal illness and wanted to make a will to pass the Master Tower to Royo.

Etc., etc……

The Purple Lily School is a large-scale mage school founded by the seventh-tier Great Witch, Lady Purple Lily. It has more than a dozen mages following it, and each mage has their own students and mage towers, much like a sect and numerous smaller mountain strongholds in a fantasy novel.

Unfortunately, this was the most unreliable mountain that Royal visited.

There's nothing I can do, his fees are cheap...

And we didn't know this guy would be so unreliable at first. Now that we do, what can we do? The tuition fees have already been spent, so we can only continue studying with tears in our eyes.

"Sigh~ You've had a tough time... How about this, I'll keep watch over the basement for you tonight, you can get a good night's sleep."

Looking at Lar's haggard face, Royo offered his suggestion.

"Hehe~ I knew you'd say that. You're the most reliable person in our tower. Don't worry, I'll help you get a date with my sister later. I'll definitely get her this time!"

"Save my breath, I don't want to hold them back."

After parting ways with Lal, Royo found a broom and first swept the three-story mage tower, then went to the library to read and pass the time.

Lal went to catch up on his sleep, the old drunkard went off somewhere to scam drinks, and the other two senior students and one senior student, who had already awakened their magic, were sent away by the old drunkard to fend for themselves.

So, of all the mage towers, only Rowe remained that could move...

"Sigh~ There are only a few books, and they're already worn out from being read so many times."

Looking at the tattered copy of "Magic Enlightenment" in his hand, Luo Yue suddenly had a whimsical idea and decided to go to the basement to check out the antiques that the old drunkard had won.

The family is already starving. Ever since the old drunkard tried to sell fruit wine as a magic potion at the school gathering the month before last, he was exposed on the spot and severely punished. His subsidies for a year were cut off, and he has completely lost his source of income.

If it weren't for the villagers in the small mountain village sending two sacks of potatoes in time, the three of them would probably have starved to death long ago.

Fortunately, the old drunkard chased away the senior students in advance, otherwise all six of them would have starved to death.

Luo Yue wanted to go to town to find a job, but found that the old drunkard was heavily in debt. As soon as he showed his face, he was surrounded and chased. He barely managed to escape back.

With no other option, he tried to find work in a more distant city. He spent the whole day yesterday trying to find a job, but nothing suitable came of it, and he made a wasted trip.

"Fortunately, this old man was somewhat reliable this time. If it were really some valuable antique, we wouldn't be eating potatoes every day."

Luo Yue, filled with anticipation, went to the basement and soon saw a wooden box on the shelf. When he opened it, he was immediately dumbfounded.

New! Undisputedly new!

This thing looks like a bronze mask, but it's much larger than a human face. The carvings on it are quite exquisite, but upon closer inspection, even the rough edges haven't been completely removed...

They did apply a layer of mud to create an aged look, but the mud was actually wet...

As for the other flaws, even a layman like Luo Yue could see them at a glance; only a drunkard would think it was a genuine antique.

"Sigh~ I should have known better. What good stuff could you possibly win at a drinking party?"

Luo Yue was helpless and could only think positively. At least the workmanship of this thing was not bad. After cleaning it, it should be able to be sold as a handicraft, right?

He then took a rag and carefully wiped away the unnecessary dirt, unaware of the faint glimmer of light emanating from behind the mask.

As he was wiping, he suddenly froze, realizing that his mental space had been invaded by the demons again.

Coming again? Wasn't it just cleaned?

Luo Yue removed the bronze mask, opened his mental space, and glanced at it.

Huh? Why does this monster look a little different?
