Hogwarts: This fairy tale is too eerie

Chapter 7: A new fantasy entity has appeared; how can we stand still?!

The following morning, at Hogwarts, in the faculty and staff lounge.

"I'm going to be late! I'm going to be late!"

On the wooden table beside the bed, the gold pocket watch squealed, urging its owner to get up quickly.

"Hmm..."

Thor stretched contentedly, feeling the warm morning light streaming through the window onto his face.

The Green family mansion was gloomy even in the summer.

Like a sponge that has absorbed too much dark energy, it is shrouded in shadow all day long, giving rise to moss, man-eating plants, and all sorts of interesting little creatures.

"We're going to be late! Hurry—"

Saul grabbed the gold pocket watch from the low table, pressed the knob, and manually muted the microphone.

Thor glanced casually at the watch hands; unsurprisingly, it was 7:30 in the morning. Mr. Rabbit's pocket watch was always very punctual.

Last night, when I arrived at Hogwarts with Professor McGonagall, it was already past midnight.

Professor McGonagall then told Thor to rest and that he would see Dumbledore the next day.

Saul was temporarily placed in the faculty lounge, which was vacant during the summer break, and transformed into a comfortable bedroom.

As for herself, she enthusiastically took care of the exhausted Catbus.

"Come on in, my room is big, and I have lots of dried fish... cough!"

Noticing Saul's smiling gaze, Professor McGonagall immediately straightened her face, straightened her back, and said stiffly:

"Because some students get so engrossed in playing that they don't take good care of their pets, I sometimes have to look after them for them."

"Don't get me wrong, as a professor, I'm not interested in things like dried fish."

"I understand."

Thor nodded knowingly.

I understand.

This Christmas, give premium dried fish as a gift.

Now, the sky is clear, and the summer sun has finally pierced through the perpetual fog of Great Britain, casting a soft glow into the room.

Saul yawned and rolled out of bed.

Rubbing my eyes, I walked past the gray-green sage hanging from the ceiling and came to the window.

"Click".

Pushing open the window, a refreshing breeze immediately rushed in, dispelling the heat of the summer night.

Thor took a deep breath and smelled the fresh air mixed with earth and greenery, without the city's exhaust fumes or the damp, stale smell of the Green family's house.

It seems that everything here is just beginning to rise.

Thor looked down and saw a verdant field stretching out beneath the castle, swaying gently in the wind like a rippling sea.

In the distance, the infamous "beating willow" stretched out its trunk, its dangerous appearance concealing the dark and terrifying secrets beneath.

From a distance, Hagrid's cabin looks like a building block, perched on the edge of the dense Forbidden Forest.

Since Hagrid was still huddled in his remote rock hut, the cabin was quiet at this moment.

"We've really arrived at Hogwarts..."

Thor murmured, his grey eyes gleaming.

The hazy dream from my childhood in my past life has actually come true at this moment.

He really did come to the magical world and became a kind and righteous wizard.

An indescribable emotion welled up in my heart; it wasn't a bad feeling.

"Hogwarts is still too urbanized."

It's completely different from where he lives.

Thor sighed, looked away, took out his gold watch, opened the case, and picked up the white hair that had been stuck inside the watch last night.

After absorbing a small amount of magic, a rabbit-shaped silhouette appeared on the dial.

[Mr. Rabbit's Golden Pocket Watch: After absorbing magic, it can display a silhouette of the source of that magic.]

"Sure enough, this hair came from Mr. White Rabbit himself—that poor gentleman whose head was violently ripped off."

Without a body, Mr. White Rabbit naturally cannot move on his own.

The "person" who controls it is naturally—

Alice.

Thor murmured, unconsciously rubbing the rabbit's fur, his eyes deep.

Just as he was about to subdue the illusionary form of Mr. White Rabbit, it suddenly appeared from the cave entrance and directly tore apart and stole Mr. White Rabbit's powerful illusionary form.

It is estimated to be at least level 3 or higher.

It's stronger than his current trump card, the Tier 2 fantasy form, "The Little Match Girl."

"If the little match girl hadn't shielded me, Alice would probably be holding my head right now."

It was foreseeable.

For some intelligent, high-level fantasy entities, the ability to subdue them again would be the biggest thorn in their side.

They will definitely try to get rid of themselves.

"Perhaps my current strength is not enough to impress Alice, which is why she's playing with me like a cat toying with a mouse."

"Hehe, this is really interesting."

The thought of these adorable fantasy creatures chattering away, discussing how to subdue him, made Thor hum softly.

Of course, it's still uncertain who the final hunter will be.

"Miss Alice, I hope my growth will satisfy you~" Thor curled the corners of his mouth.

At this time.

Thor's gaze suddenly sharpened, fixing on a figure that had appeared on the windowpane at some unknown time.

He put away the rabbit fur and the pocket watch, turned his head, and once again revealed that impeccable, elegant smile on his face.

"What a beautiful morning, don't you think, Mr. Dumbledore?"

Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts and the greatest white wizard of the time, was standing in the doorway, smiling at him.

"I still prefer to be called 'Professor Dumbledore.'" Dumbledore winked at Thor. "Now that you're up, would you like to have breakfast with this old man, Mr. Grimm?"

Sol nodded happily.

After getting ready, I followed the principal.

"You're still missing a wand, Mr. Grimm?" Dumbledore said as he walked. "Although Professor McGonagall has mentioned your magical spells that don't require a wand, I think having one wouldn't hurt."

"You can buy your wand at Ollivander's Wand Shop in Diagon Alley—oh, Merlin's beard, I almost forgot."

Dumbledore then took a letter from his pocket, handed it to Thor, and smiled:

"Although it's not an owl, the proper rituals still apply. You'll need it when you go to Diagon Alley to buy your back-to-school supplies."

Before even receiving the envelope, Saul already knew what it contained.

Sure enough, on the front, sealed with wax, was a shield-shaped emblem with four animals surrounding the letter "H".

Turning it over, it says in bright green ink:

Hogwarts, in the Scottish Highlands

[Faculty and Staff Lounge]

[Nettle Bed]

[Received by Sol Green]

"...I've always been curious."

Saul turned the envelope over again and looked at the text on the ribbon below the coat of arms.

"Is 'Do not disturb the sleeping dragon' merely a piece of advice, or a real warning?"

Thor looked up and glanced at Dumbledore.

"For example, is there really a sleeping monster beneath Hogwarts that shouldn't be disturbed?"

"Hahaha," Dumbledore laughed, "perhaps we've never truly explored every corner of Hogwarts."

As they spoke, the two arrived at the water-drop stone beast beneath the principal's office.

Dumbledore: "Strawberry poop candy."

Thor's brow twitched, and he couldn't help but praise, "Elegant."

Dumbledore winked slyly. "Thank you for the compliment."

As they ascended the spiral staircase and pushed open the door to the principal's office.

"Beep beep beep!"

A rapid, ticking sound suddenly came from Saul's pocket!

"...Look who this is. It's none other than Mr. Saul Green, the famous pure-blood descendant who openly defies the Wizarding Law."

Severus Snape slowly turned around from his office, drawing out his words.
