Hogwarts: This fairy tale is too eerie

Chapter 29: A salute to Thor, the King of the Stage! Gryffindor welcomes you!

What?

Gryffindor?!

When the Sorting Hat's hoarse but loud voice echoed throughout the entire Hogwarts Great Hall.

Everyone is stupid.

There was no applause, no cheering.

It was as if the Sorting Hat had petrified everything; the air froze.

Hermione, who had been assigned to Gryffindor first, looked up in a daze at the straw-haired boy on the stage who seemed to be standing in the spotlight, her eyes slowly widening.

Are you in the same college as her?

Hermione had never thought of this and, like everyone else, took it for granted that Solna would be sorted into Slytherin.

"Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock..."

In the dead silence, a sharp voice suddenly rang out:

"—This, this is impossible!"

Unexpectedly, Professor McGonagall was the first to speak.

She gripped the Sorting Hat tightly, as if she wanted to strangle it, creasing its worn exterior into even more wrinkles.

After blurting it out, Professor McGonagall realized what she had just said and quickly added:

"What I mean is, how did Mr. Grimm end up in Gryffindor? Was it really not because he was attacked by dark magic and made a mistake in his judgment?"

If Thor really is a Gryffindor, then... then doesn't that mean that deep down he's actually...?

Professor McGonagall's eyes lit up little by little, and an emotion called "surprise" rose in her eyes!

In the teachers' seat, Professor Snape stared intently at the Sorting Hat, as if he wished he could put that tattered hat back on Thor's head until it uttered "Slytherin"!

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, the Sorting Hat spoke wearily but with unwavering conviction:

I never make a mistake.

After saying that, it shut its mouth and slumped into a pile of "tattered hat".

"..."

After a few seconds of silence.

"Slap, slap, slap—"

A few lonely claps rang out.

On the long table in Gryffindor, two red-haired boys who looked almost identical slowly stood up.

Like taking a bow at a stage, they clapped loudly and slowly, gazing at Saul on stage with fervent and admiring eyes.

Shaking his head, he exclaimed exaggeratedly, "Fantastic, fantastic—this is simply art!"

"We've been the king of Hogwarts pranks for so many years—"

"Actually, it's only been two years—"

"We've ventured into forbidden forests, blown up crucibles, and illegally used flying brooms—"

A low chuckle drifted through the auditorium, easing the atmosphere somewhat, but even the administrator, Filch, turned green with rage.

The Weasley twins continued in that award ceremony-like tone, speaking loudly:

"But we've never managed to thwart the Hogwarts Express or shock the Sorting Ceremony with a spectacular Dark Magic attack!"

"Ah! Please allow us to pay you the highest tribute! King of the Stage, Grin!"

The Weasley twins bowed deeply to Thor, and said, enunciating each word clearly:

"Welcome to our wonderful Gryffindor!"

"..."

Thor's eyes widened slightly as he looked at the Weasley twins, who were bowing exaggeratedly in welcome.

She pursed her lips and slowly began to speak: "There are eighteen irregularities in your attire."

The Weasley twins froze, their lively and mischievous smiles turning into expressions of shock.

The two were completely unprepared for this answer and looked up, staring blankly at the shining boy on the stage.

Those misty gray eyes looked at them coldly, as if they were some insignificant little insects.

Professor McGonagall frowned: "Mr. Green—"

next second.

Suddenly, those gray eyes curved upwards, the hazy mist within them gleaming, and a smile abruptly appeared on their indifferent face!

Thor tilted his head and smiled, "But it's still the best and most perfect bow I've ever seen."

"Thank you for your warm welcome. Yours, Saul Green, the librarian."

With that, Thor flicked his wrist, and like a Muggle magician, conjured up a top hat with a bang (Ron: That can actually be conjured up??).

He stepped back, tossed his hat to his chest, and gracefully bowed, performing a standard gentleman's bow.

"Wow--"

The Weasley twins were stunned. A smooth little combo left them wide-eyed, their eyes sparkling!

That's so cool!

Two seconds of silence followed.

"Slap, slap, slap, slap, slap—!!"

A burst of enthusiastic applause erupted from the Gryffindor seats!

Every student stood up and clapped enthusiastically with excitement and admiration!

Thunderous applause erupted, until even the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs on both sides joined in!

Among the new students, Harry, who hadn't yet been sorted into his house, was all smiles, his face flushed with excitement!

Yay! Thor didn't go to Slytherin! He knew it!

Ron and a few others looked unsure whether they should be happy or not. Finally, they shrugged and said, "Well, it's better than going to other houses and being their enemy."

On stage, Professor McGonagall wiped her eyes with emotion and murmured, "Oh! Mr. Green..."

...But then again, why was she so moved?

My own academy was assigned to a demon pill.

Perhaps it's because the descendants of the inherently evil Green family suddenly took on human form.

Almost everyone was happy, even the Slytherin students secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

...To be honest, a "paratrooper" who could slap the Malfoy family to the ground (?) and make them avoid his sharp edge.

Let's not disrupt their ecological balance.

You try hitting me with your tonic! (hands up in surrender).jpg

Amidst the cheerful laughter and chatter, only one person was unhappy.

—That was Severus Snape, who was certain that Thor would be sorted into his house.

"Sol Green.......!!"

Snape forced out the words through clenched teeth, gripping the silver fork on the table tightly. The black aura emanating from his body made even Professor Quirrell, who was standing nearby, turn his head to look.

What does that mean?!

He stared intently at Thor's back, which was surrounded by a mass of red, until his eyes were bloodshot.

What does that mean?!

They've been through dangerous situations together, fought against the insane illusions together, and he even agreed to be this little brat's subordinate!

You actually went to Glenfindor?!

—Even though nothing was promised, I made expectations on my own and broke down my defenses without authorization.

"You just wait... Saul Green!" Snape muttered coldly, his voice like the hiss of a snake.

Since it's Gryffindor, there's no need to hold back.

If we don't retaliate and humiliate this arrogant brat in public, he'll change his last name to "Porter"!!

......

Contrary to most people's expectations, Saul kept a low profile for the first few days of school.

Despite being as famous as Harry Potter, he still gets stared at and pointed at when he walks down the street.

But Thor didn't seem to care at all.

He is taciturn and seems to be thinking all the time. Even when walking with others, he is often immersed in his own world.

—"The melancholy little prince who stepped out of a fairy tale."

Some girls called it that.

Especially the older students would scream as Thor walked by.

They were mocked by the Slytherin students as "noisy monkeys," but what they were really like in private remains unknown.

therefore.

Everyone's attention gradually shifted to another "out-of-the-box" freshman—

That's Hermione Granger.

No one would have guessed that she was a Muggle who had never been exposed to magic.

No matter the class or the question, as long as Gryffindor is present, they will instantly raise an arm straight up.

He was almost always the first to complete every spell, and the last to leave after class, always stopping the professor to ask him endless questions.

"That Muggle-born guy is really something..."

"Yeah, who would have thought she'd only just started learning magic? Tsk tsk~"

"However, don't you think she's a bit too showy? Last time I mispronounced the spell, she forced herself to correct me, acting all high and mighty."

"Yes! As expected of 'Miss Know-It-All'~"

"Compared to Thor, it really is... talent. No amount of studying textbooks can help with that."

Gossip arose everywhere, and eyes were fixed on this "aloof" girl who was always alone.

But no matter what others say, Hermione remains arrogant and is always the first to raise her arm to answer questions.

They seemed not to care at all.

At least, that's how it appears on the surface.

—Soon, Friday arrived, and it was time for Gryffindor and Slytherin's first Potions class.

In the underground classroom.

Thor strolled leisurely into the classroom with Harry and Ron, arriving just in time.

In Gryffindor, only Hermione's seat was empty, so Thor sat down next to her.

As he sat down, Thor felt the brown-haired girl next to him seem to stiffen for a moment.

"You're always the first one here, Hermione," Thor chuckled, a hint of blue in his eyes.

He hasn't been sleeping well these past few days, constantly pondering what exactly constitutes a "precious golden ball."

They even actually took a literal "golden ball" and showed it to Neville's toad.

That, of course, won't work.

At that moment, Saul even saw a human-like speechlessness on the "Frog Prince's" pockmarked face.

"Sigh, what exactly is this so-called 'Golden Ball'? I might as well just go berserk."

Thor sighed softly, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Hermione diligently preparing for class, marking the questions she would ask after class.

...Speaking of which, will Snape ask Harry the "three deadly questions" in this Potions class?

Hopefully, poor Harry can weather this storm.

Thor yawned and thought casually.

Anyway, it's none of his business. I'll comfort Harry later.

Just then.

"Bang!"

The Potions class door slammed shut, and a figure flew in like a black bat!

"Bang bang bang!"

One window after another closed at the command of the magic wand, and the classroom was soon plunged into darkness.

Snape whirled around, his black robes billowing behind him, and even without uttering a word, he exuded an aura that instantly silenced everyone.

"Is it coming?!" Harry's three deadly questions!

Thor straightened up slightly and looked at Harry, who was still completely unaware, with pity.

Snape: "Honorable, renowned, and noble Mr. Saul Green."

Thor: ?

I?

Meeting Professor Snape's cold, yet smug gaze, he slowly spoke:

"Please tell me, what is the process for preparing the Living Hell Potion?"

? ?

This is first-grade knowledge from some parallel universe!

This is purely a personal grudge!
