Primordial Era: The Three Senior Brothers of the Taiqing Clan

Chapter 46 The Golden Crow Emerges from Tang Valley, Calamity Strikes the Primordial World

Not long after Emperor Jun and Xihe married, Xihe gave birth to ten golden crows. These ten little golden crows were born with the true fire of the sun, but being young, they could not control it freely and repeatedly caused trouble in the Heavenly Court.

The True Fire of the Sun is one of the most supreme divine fires in the world. Even a Great Luo Golden Immortal would find it quite troublesome to be tainted by it, and ordinary celestial officials would avoid it like the plague.

Left with no other choice, Di Jun sent his ten sons to the Tang Valley Secret Realm for cultivation. Tang Valley contained a top-grade innate spiritual root—the Fusang Tree. This tree could not only help the little golden crows restrain the true fire of the sun within their bodies, but also accelerate their cultivation.

To ensure the safety of his sons, Emperor Jun set up a large array outside Tang Valley. Although this array was not as profound as the Heavenly Court's Zhou Tian Xing Dou Array, it was still considered impregnable.

The young golden crows, newly born, were pampered and arrogant in Heaven. Now, however, they are confined to the small Valley of Tang, cultivating day after day, and are already feeling stifled.

However, Di Jun had sternly warned them not to go out, and with their cultivation level, it would be difficult for them to break through the great formation outside the valley. Helpless, they had no choice but to keep quiet for the time being.

On this day, a Taoist priest came to Tang Valley.

He stood at the front of the formation, smiled slightly, and took out a Seven Treasures Tree, gently brushing it open. The great formation was silently breached, and the Taoist transformed into a streak of light, flashing inside.

In the valley, several golden crows had just finished their cultivation and were playing around. Upon seeing strangers intruding, they immediately became alert.

"Who are you? Why are you trespassing here?"

The Taoist priest smiled slightly, bowed respectfully, and said, "Your Highnesses, please do not be alarmed. I have come on the orders of His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor to keep you company and alleviate your boredom."

Upon hearing this, the golden crows immediately became interested. They were already quite impatient, having spent all their time alone with only a few brothers in this Valley of Delight.

The Great Golden Crow spoke, "Since Father Emperor sent you, show me what you've got. If you do well, I, the Crown Prince, will reward you handsomely."

The Taoist priest rolled his eyes and laughed, "This humble Taoist dares not show off his skills, but only wishes to tell the princes some interesting stories about the primordial land."

The golden crows were overjoyed. They had never left the Heavenly Court and Tang Valley since birth, and were filled with curiosity about everything in the primordial land.

"Tell me quickly!" the Great Golden Crow urged repeatedly.

The Taoist then began to recount the events of the primordial era. He spoke eloquently, focusing on examples of how the witch clan oppressed the demon clan and how the primordial creatures were enemies of the demon clan. The golden crows listened with burning anger and righteous indignation.

"Outrageous! How dare those witches humiliate my demon race like this?" The Great Golden Crow slammed its fist on the table and stood up.

The other golden crows were also furious, their solar fire erupting uncontrollably, causing the temperature in the valley to rise sharply.

Seeing this, the Taoist added fuel to the fire: "As sons of the Heavenly Emperor and future heirs of the demon race, why don't you princes go and see the primordial lands for yourselves? Let those arrogant witches see the might of the demon race."

The Golden Crows looked at each other, somewhat tempted, yet wary of Emperor Jun's prohibition.

The Great Golden Crow frowned and said, "Father forbids us from leaving Tang Valley without permission. If we want to go out, we must report to Father first."

Upon hearing this, the other Golden Crows' expressions immediately darkened. Their father had always been strict with them, and if they dared to go out on their own, they would surely be severely punished upon their return.

The Taoist priest laughed and said, "Your Highness is overthinking it. Those witches are the mortal enemies of the demon race. If you princes go down and kill one or two great witches to avenge the demon race, His Majesty will be overjoyed and would not blame you. In this way, all the beings of the prehistoric world can see how majestic the demon race princes are."

After hearing these words, the last trace of hesitation among the Golden Crows vanished.

The smallest golden crow suddenly remembered something and said, "You're a good Taoist priest. But there's a powerful formation blocking the way outside Tang Valley, so we can't get out."

The Taoist priest feigned surprise: "A grand formation? I didn't encounter any obstacles when I came in, so that formation must just be used to conceal my presence."

The little golden crow didn't believe it, so it flew to the edge of the great formation to test it, and sure enough, it easily passed through. Excitedly, it flew back and shouted, "Brothers, that Taoist was right! I just passed through; the formation didn't stop me at all!"

The other golden crows were overjoyed upon hearing this and all looked at the great golden crow.

The Great Golden Crow pondered for a moment, then finally nodded: "Very well. As descendants of the Heavenly Emperor, we should indeed understand the situation in the primordial world. The Witch Clan has gone too far in bullying our Demon Clan. Let's go and kill a few members of the Witch Clan to avenge our fallen kin!"

The golden crows cheered and rushed out of the valley. The eldest golden crow flew to the edge of the formation, looked back, but saw that the Taoist priest had disappeared. A hint of doubt flashed through his mind, but seeing that his brothers had already flown far away, he stopped thinking about it and flapped his wings to chase after them.

After the golden crows had gone far away, the Taoist priest finally appeared in the void—it was none other than Zhunti, one of the two Western Saints.

He disrupted the heavenly secrets with the power of a sage. Although Di Jun had the Hetu and Luoshu to deduce the heavenly secrets, he could not detect the clues.

Although Nuwa was a saint of the demon race, she usually resided in the Nuwa Palace deep within the chaos and rarely paid attention to the affairs of the primordial world. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Zhunti tricked the Golden Crows out of Tang Valley.

Ten golden crows appeared together, creating a magnificent scene.

They had not yet learned to restrain the true fire of the sun within them; ten blazing suns appeared in the sky at the same time, their scorching light spreading across the primordial land.

At first, the golden crows deliberately suppressed their flames, but once they got into the swing of things, they completely let loose.

As they flew through the land, mountains and rivers dried up, the earth cracked, vegetation withered, and rivers dried up. Countless creatures, unable to escape, were scorched to ashes by the sun's true fire. The vitality that the primordial world had painstakingly recovered after the truce between the witch and demon races was completely destroyed in a single day.

"Brothers, those witches are the most despicable! Let's go kill them!" a little golden crow shouted.

"Good! Today we'll show them what the Golden Crow Prince is all about!"

The Golden Crows consciously searched for the Wu tribes on the primordial land. Every time they found one, ten Golden Crows would swarm it—they didn't even need to lift a finger; the true fire of the sun emanating from their bodies alone was enough to burn the entire tribe to ashes, even the ground was scorched into glass.

Cries, shouts, and screams rose and fell, but were quickly swallowed up by the flames.

This is also the outer perimeter of the Witch Clan, where no powerful figures are stationed. Most of the powerful figures are improving their cultivation to prepare for the upcoming great battle. Furthermore, it is currently a truce period, and the Witch Clan did not expect the Demon Clan to come and pay tribute, so they are somewhat relaxed.

This allowed the ten little golden crows to succeed. Otherwise, as soon as they made a move, the powerful members of the witch clan would have found out and killed them. They wouldn't have been allowed to be so rampant.

As the ten golden crows progressed, the number of tribes of the Wu clan increased, and the strength of the Wu clan members also grew stronger. They gradually put up resistance, but it posed little threat to them. This gave the little golden crows the illusion that the Wu clan was nothing special and could run rampant with their solar fire.
