Time flies, and another two years have passed.

Lou Linxian is five years old. Over the past two years, his body has grown day by day, and the pale gold mark between his eyebrows has become clearer than when he was three years old—no longer a faint glow, but a stable pale gold line that shines slightly in the sunlight, as if something is slowly brewing under his eyebrows, just waiting for the day to break through the soil.

However, his spiritual aperture was not yet fully opened. This was a limitation of his body—a child's meridians were immature, and his spirit was not yet solidified. If he opened his spiritual aperture too early and forcibly absorbed qi, it would damage his meridians at best, and at worst, harm his foundation, making it difficult for him to make any progress in his life. Ordinary children would not have their spiritual aperture appear naturally until they were six years old, at which point they could begin to nurture the six chakras of embryonic breathing. He was born close to the sun, and his spiritual aperture appeared three years earlier than others, but it was only "appearing"—he could passively sense the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, and could slightly cause the mark between his eyebrows to glow, but he could not actively absorb qi into his body.

The true cultivation that requires the complete opening of the spiritual apertures will have to wait another year.

For the past two years, the thing he has done most is study.

Before Wu Che dissipated, he sealed all three inheritances into his soul—the *True Secrets of Observing the Sun's Manifestation and Esoteric Teachings*, the *Nine Luminaries Sword Scripture*, and the *Derivative Meaning of Observing the Sun's Manifestation and Esoteric Teachings*. For two years, he tried countless times to open the first two, only to close them again. Not because he couldn't understand them, but because these two techniques were too obscure and profound, every word pointing to a realm he could not currently reach. The *True Secrets of Observing the Sun's Manifestation and Esoteric Teachings* was a method of cultivating qi and nourishing the spirit, beginning with "Observing the Sun to Comprehend the Profound." Lou Linxian estimated that he might only have the opportunity to comprehend the true secrets after reaching the Purple Mansion realm.

The Nine Luminaries Sword Scripture is no exception. The scripture is based on the Nine Luminaries, drawing upon the sun's mystical light as its blade. The sword is divided into nine forms, each corresponding to a different form of the Nine Luminaries. However, even the introductory form of the scripture requires a Celestial Foundation to activate it—and he is not even at the embryonic stage yet.

Therefore, he abandoned his plan to directly study the true secrets and sword manuals very early on. He focused all his energy on the third inheritance - "The Profound Meaning of the Sun-Viewing Secret Manifestation".

This is a commentary written by Wu Che based on his own cultivation experience, transforming the principles of breath cultivation and self-cultivation from Wu Daozi's True Secrets into the cultivation method of the Purple Mansion Golden Elixir Dao. For two years, he repeatedly studied this method, engraving every word of the introductory chapter into his mind.

According to the records of the Yanyi, the cultivation of the Purple Mansion Golden Elixir Path begins with embryonic breathing, requiring the separate condensation of six wheels. After the Xuanjing Wheel, the Chengming Wheel, Zhouxing Wheel, and Qingyuan Wheel are condensed in sequence. The Yujing Wheel is the key to embryonic breathing, located in the Shengyang Mansion. After condensation, it allows the manifestation of divine consciousness, enabling the use of magical artifacts such as storage bags. Finally, the Lingchu Wheel is condensed in the Shengyang Mansion, allowing the absorption of spiritual energy from heaven and earth into the body. Just as cultivating the Taiyin requires the Taiyin Moon Essence, cultivating the Taiyang Technique requires the essence of the sun and the several types of spiritual energy derived from it.

The Foundation Establishment Realm, as recorded in the Exegesis, is named "Yao Cheng Yang".

When the Immortal Foundation is formed, the sun wheel is at the center, surrounded by the nine luminaries. During combat, these nine halos are not static—they slowly rotate with the flow of the cultivator's spiritual energy. Any external attack that touches the halos will be gradually neutralized by the power of the nine luminaries. When a cultivator of the same level unleashes a divine power upon Yao Chengyang's Immortal Foundation, its power is often reduced by 30-40% before it even reaches the sun wheel itself. Furthermore, the sun wheel itself is extremely stable, its foundation far exceeding that of ordinary Immortal Foundations, its spiritual energy inexhaustible and undiminished in prolonged battle.

The Purple Mansion Realm is the most detailed part recorded in the extended interpretation.

The divine power that Yao Chengyang acquired after his ascension to immortality was named "Nine Luminaries Chapter".

This is a divine power that Wu Che specifically tailored for the Nine Luminaries position. In the extended interpretation, Wu Che wrote a brief explanation at the beginning of the "Nine Luminaries Chapter." Lou Linxian has read this text countless times, and each time he reads it, he gains new insights:

"The way of the sun, in ancient times, was only through the practice of breathing exercises and cultivating one's nature. The ancient immortals who cultivated the sun all attained the Dao through breathing exercises, without relying on supernatural powers. The methods of supernatural powers were created by later great sun beings—either to spread their influence and benefit future generations, or to wage war and demonstrate their authority."

"The Nine Luminaries originally had no Purple Gold method. After I realized the Nine Luminaries, I felt the difficulty of absorbing Qi and the hardship of learning for others. Therefore, I used my own cultivation experience to verify my master's true secrets and opened up a Purple Gold path in the Nine Luminaries. This 'Nine Luminaries Chapter' is the first supernatural power to obtain the Nine Luminaries in the Purple Gold method, and it is also the gateway from Purple Gold to the Nine Luminaries. A chapter means a law, a manifestation. When the Nine Luminaries Chapter is clear, the Nine Luminaries method is manifested outwardly, and the power of the sun can be used by people."

"If what is sought is not the position of the Nine Luminaries, but the position of Yu Yi, then this supernatural power should be named 'Yu Yi Chapter'—the method of the chapter remains unchanged, but the path of the way it manifests is different."

This statement is extremely insightful. The Way of the Sun has historically only involved cultivating one's inner energy and nourishing one's spirit; supernatural powers are a later development—these were created by powerful beings who attained the Sun's fruition, remainder, or intercalary position, who, in order to pass on their lineage and benefit future generations, transformed their understanding of the Way of the Sun into supernatural methods for cultivation. Wu Che, however, after attaining the Nine Luminaries, integrated the Way of the Nine Luminaries into the Purple Mansion Golden Elixir system. This "Nine Luminaries Chapter" is the first key he personally forged.

The word "章" (zhāng) is used exceptionally well. "章" signifies manifestation—revealing the power of the Nine Luminaries outwardly, releasing it in the form of supernatural abilities. With this first supernatural ability, the cultivator can truly embark on the path of seeking the Nine Luminaries through the Purple Gold Method.

Once the Nine Luminaries Chapter is completed, the initial supernatural powers are formed. From then on, cultivators can use these supernatural powers to fight enemies—the light of the Nine Luminaries can be transformed into swords to slay demons and evil spirits. There are also many other wondrous powers, which he summarized—the numbers are astonishing.

For the past two years, he has sat quietly in the courtyard for an hour every noon, facing east, eyes closed, focusing his mind. He wasn't actively absorbing qi—his spiritual apertures weren't open, his meridians weren't unblocked, so it was impossible—but rather, he allowed himself to quiet down and "listen" to the flow of spiritual energy between heaven and earth. At first, he felt nothing but the sound of the wind, the sunlight, and his mother's footsteps in the house. But gradually, he began to feel something else—not hearing, not seeing, but a very faint "warmth." The midday sunlight fell on him, not just the warmth of his skin, but also a very subtle, internal warmth, as if something had penetrated his limbs and bones, or as if something deep within his body was subtly responding to the sun.

That wasn't spiritual energy entering his body, but rather the power of "closeness" itself—he was naturally close to the sun, and even without actively absorbing energy, the sun's spiritual energy would naturally gravitate towards him. This accumulated nourishment, while not allowing him to directly break through his cultivation level, allowed his body to become more and more adapted to the sun's power each day. When his spiritual apertures fully opened at the age of six, this accumulated "closeness" would become his greatest asset in nurturing his six chakras of embryonic breathing.

He walked out of the stone house.

In the courtyard, Mother Liu Qingyi was drying the Desert Wind Spirit Grass. The midday sun of Qiyan City shone into the courtyard, giving the spirit grass a faint golden hue. Since Father Lou Mingyuan was transferred to a different job, the family's life had improved considerably, but Mother still preferred to do some chores to supplement the family income.

Lou Linxian sat down in the courtyard and looked up at the north.

Before Wu Che vanished, he sealed all his inheritance into his soul, leaving behind a location sensor for the Hongwai Ruins. Over the past two years, that sensory connection has become increasingly clear. At first, it was just a faint warmth that would flicker slightly when he looked north; now, he can vaguely sense the existence of that point of light—not with his eyes, but with a kind of "knowing" deep within his soul, knowing that it is there, deep within the Northern Sea Void.

Sun Essence, Golden Sun Radiance, Long-Walking Pheasant Fire, Sky-Patrolling Sword, and that sealed Radiant Sun Imperial Patrol Essence—they are all there.

But he needs cultivation. At least he needs to reach the Foundation Establishment stage to have enough spiritual power to trigger the appearance of the lost mansion.

His mother noticed his gaze and followed it to the north. There was nothing there, only the hazy skyline of Qiyan City.

"What are you looking at now?" she asked.

Lou Linxian withdrew her gaze and revealed an innocent smile befitting a five-year-old child.

"It's nothing, Mom. The sun is really nice."

Late at night.

The nights in Qiyan City were much quieter than the days. Unlike mortal cities, cities of cultivators saw little activity at night, with only a few pavilions of the distant Binghong Gate still lit, like lonely stars in the darkness. Inside the stone house, the father, Lou Mingyuan, breathed steadily and deeply—he was recuperating, having entered a meditative state and isolated himself from the outside world. The mother, Liu Qingyi, had also fallen asleep; the fatigue from drying spiritual herbs during the day had quickly lulled her into a deep sleep.

Lou Linxian lay alone on the bed, her eyes open.

When the night is quiet, his thoughts involuntarily drift to the things he deliberately avoids thinking about during the day.

Five years have passed since he transmigrated. In these five years, he has repeatedly recalled the plot of the original work and repeatedly pondered his place in this world.

At the moment of his birth, he caught a fleeting glimpse during his descent—a faint light beside him fell into this world at the same time. That light descended southward and sank into Moon Gazing Lake; while his golden light sank northward and landed in Qiyan City of the North Sea. In that fleeting glance, he felt a strange jolt, vaguely sensing a mysterious connection between himself and that light, like a yin and yang echoing each other, a contrast between the hidden and the revealed.

Yin and Yang. Hidden and revealed. South and North.

He later understood that faint light in the south—it was Lu Jiangxian. The protagonist of the original story, his remnant soul attached to a fragment of the Immortal Mirror, fell into Wangyue Lake, was found by the Li family, and thus began a family's magnificent path of cultivation. Lu Jiangxian's connection with the Taiyin Fruit position was too close; the Taiyin Path is the world's number one path of "concealment." Concealing the mirror, concealing the body, concealing power—he could remain silent in Wangyue Lake for hundreds of years, quietly laying out his plans, waiting for the right opportunity, accumulating power without revealing his strength. The Taiyin Path is inherently about concealment, and Lu Jiangxian himself had taken the concept of "concealment" to its extreme.

But what about him?

He walks the path of the sun. The sun, the most manifest path in the world, is characterized by its extremely high power—anything that comes into contact with the sun will have its power greatly enhanced. Those who cultivate the path of the sun never have the option of "hiding." The sun's radiance cannot be hidden, the sun's power cannot be hidden, and the lineage of the sun cannot be hidden at all. The aura of a sun cultivator is far brighter and more intense than that of an ordinary cultivator, like a flame in the night, making it difficult to go unseen.

The Way of the Sun is inherently the most manifest path in the world. Forget hiding it; the stronger one becomes, the more dazzling it shines. The moment he successfully establishes his foundation and completes the initial formation of the Yao Chengyang Immortal Foundation, a great sun halo will appear around him, with the nine luminaries orbiting him—it will be impossible for him not to attract attention. When he attains the Nine Luminaries Chapter Divine Power, the extraordinary phenomenon of the Nine Luminaries patrolling the heavens will unfold, shaking the entire North Sea and Jieyu Land. Those who cultivate the Way of the Sun are destined to stand in the spotlight from the moment they step into the path of cultivation; how could they possibly hide it?

Once he understood this, he stopped worrying about how to "hide" it.

The subtle surveillance and his father's job reassignment all pointed to the fact that he had already been found, most likely by the owner of the Tongxinli, and that any attempt to conceal it would be futile.

Since we can't hide it, we might as well not hide it. Since we're destined to stand in front of others, we should stand upright and stand tall enough.

One in the south, one in the north; one yin, one yang; one hidden, one revealed—this is by no means a coincidence.

This was the adults' plan—Lu Jiangxian, as the Qingxuan Master, was skilled in prophecy. Lou Linxian could only assume that the Qingxuan Master and the Patriarch Wu Daozi had reached some deal he didn't know about, so they arranged for him as a backup plan, the purpose of which was still unknown.

The question is, what exactly do those adults want him to do by putting him on this stage?

He repeatedly recalled the records about the Sun Lineage in the original text. There was a thread that he felt increasingly connected to himself the more he thought about it.

View of the Great Owl-shaped Sunflower.

That was a branch of the Sun Dao lineage, where three True Persons had perished one after another. "The sun's light, now gone"—when he read these eight words in the original work, he only thought of them as background setting. But when he himself became a practitioner of the Sun Dao path, and recalled these eight words, his feelings were completely different.

"The fall of every True Person of the Sun Lineage represents the silence of a great man." — Ultimately, it led to "The Sun's light is no more."

He wasn't a disciple of Qingsong Temple, and had no direct lineage with the Qingsong Sun Dao lineage. Wu Che made it clear—their lineage was "neither the Three Mysteries, nor the Immortal Sect, nor the Demonic Lineage," and had no connection to the Daoist struggles within the Mysteries. But even without connection, they ultimately cultivated the Way of the Sun. When the entire Sun Dao lineage was having its backbone shattered and being obscured by rainbows, could he, a cultivator of the Way of the Sun, remain uninvolved?

Those adults sent him to the North Sea, gave him the Nine Luminaries Inheritance, gave him the Metal element, and gave him the Sky-Patrolling Sword—these things were not meant for him to hide away and live a quiet life.

He guessed that what those adults needed was someone who could raise the sun flag again in a chaotic world where the sun tradition was declining.

This is probably also his role; the Sun, being the dominant force, is responsible for breaking the deadlock, intimidating, and standing openly and legitimately in the spotlight. The Moon is the player, and the Sun is the piece—no, the Sun is the flag.

It's laughable that, in the entire Qingsong Sun Dao lineage, not a single person cultivates the Sun Dao now, and in the end, a Xuanwai cultivator is needed to carry the banner of the Sun Dao. How absurd!

One year left.

One year later, once all the spiritual apertures are opened, one can begin cultivation.

We can only take it one step at a time.
