This premise could have been used to write a lot of stories—the gray area between good and evil, the changing perception of demons among cultivators, and the complex relationship between Taoist priests and fox demons, a relationship that is both mutually appreciative and destined to be one of conflict.

As it turns out, Zhuo Yun in the script is actually a walking demon-catching machine.

The more Chen Shouyi thought about it, the more outrageous it seemed. Hua Yue, a fox demon who had cultivated for over a hundred years, had seen more people than Liu Zigu had eaten rice.

As a result, she fell madly in love with Liu Zigu just because he handed her a handkerchief when she was injured.
