Huayu: Starting with Hijacking from "The Story of a Noble Family"

After receiving the script, you still need to do makeup and change clothes. This round is the formal audition, not the previous open audition.

The first to audition was the male lead. Everyone present heard a staff member shout through a megaphone, "Mr. Nie Yuan, Mr. Huang Haibing, Mr. Chen Long, Mr. Bao Jianfeng, and Mr. Xu Heng, who are auditioning for the male lead, please go to the dressing room to get your makeup done!"

The staff didn't know who Xu Heng was, but he was qualified to audition for the male lead, so calling him "teacher" was definitely the right thing to do.

Nowadays, the title "teacher" is not as ubiquitous as it will be in the future, where just anyone can be called a "teacher".

The others were also wondering who Xu Heng was. After all, the other four were not newcomers, and even if they didn't know him, they could always ask someone who would know. But Xu Heng was different.

Jia Nailiang and Huang Shengyi looked at Xu Heng in shock.

Xu Heng, quite nonchalantly, followed them into the dressing room.

About ten minutes later, Nie Yuan finished her makeup and changed her clothes, then walked to the audition room, where Huang Haibing sat down and began to apply makeup.

Today is the second round of auditions, and there will be at least one final audition later, so there is no need to actually dress up like the characters in the drama. Just a simple makeup of a young master from the Republican era is enough. This may also be the reason why Chen Kun and Lu Yi did not attend today.

After Huang Haibing finished his makeup and changed his clothes, Nie Yuan's audition was already over.

Next, Chen Long did his makeup and changed clothes, then Bao Jianfeng, and finally Xu Heng.

When Xu Heng entered the audition room, he saw that there were three people in charge of this round of auditions: producer You Jianming, director Li Dawei, and screenwriter Liu Guoquan.

Upon seeing Xu Heng enter the room, You Jianming immediately frowned.

As a producer, his primary consideration is undoubtedly profit.

In other words, how to successfully sell this drama and get a good price for it.

Therefore, as the most important male lead in this drama, he prefers to choose a well-known actor, and the most suitable candidate in his mind right now is Lu Yi, who is currently the number one young actor in mainland China.

In addition, Chen Kun, who just became famous last year for his TV series "Like Fog, Like Rain, Like Wind", is also on his list of considerations.

There are other actors, if they are suitable, that's also the reason why he held open auditions for the male lead, and it also creates some buzz.

But this certainly doesn't include Xu Heng, who is still a 100% newcomer, not to mention that Xu Heng is a freshman who just entered the Beijing Film Academy last year.

However, director Li Dawei strongly recommended Xu Heng to him, and he was very accommodating, putting Xu Heng's name on the second round of audition list for the male lead without even watching the audition video.

It's just an audition anyway, there's no guarantee of passing.

For example, the four people who auditioned before have all been rejected by him. At most, Xu Heng will be given another supporting role.

But looking at Xu Heng in front of him, You Jianming immediately knew that giving Xu Heng a supporting role was probably not going to work, because Xu Heng was too handsome and had a great presence. If he played a supporting role, he would definitely steal the spotlight from the main character!

Moreover, Xu Heng's image and temperament are indeed very suitable for playing the male lead Jin Yanxi, no wonder Li Dawei recommended him so strongly before!

"Hello producer, hello director, hello screenwriter, I'm Xu Heng, and I'm auditioning for the male lead, Jin Yanxi!"

Xu Heng approached the three of them and smiled calmly.

Even if we don't say that the role is 100% his, the current audition is just a formality.

Even if he doesn't get the role, as a reborn person with cheat codes, he certainly won't feel nervous or restrained, and he certainly won't deliberately lower his posture.

However, as long as others do not offend him, he is still willing to be polite.

"Okay, perform a scene first, the one about falling in love at first sight."

You Jianming nodded slightly and spoke.

Because of Xu Heng's rather impolite behavior, she couldn't help but feel a little resentful towards him.

It's worth noting that among the four people who auditioned before, even Nie Yuan and Huang Haibing, who already had some fame, bowed before introducing themselves.

"OK."

Xu Heng nodded in agreement and prepared to begin his solo performance, which was not a difficult task for him now that he possessed Chen Kun's acting skills.

"Let me act alongside you!"

At this moment, director Li Dawei suddenly stood up.

He is the director, and although he also wants the show to make money, he also has high standards for its quality.

He knew that the producer already had two suitable candidates in mind, but in his opinion, Lu Yi's image and temperament were clearly not a good fit for the role, and his acting skills were also somewhat mediocre.

Chen Kun's acting skills are sufficient, and his image is also acceptable, but ultimately he still lacks the noble air that the eldest son of the Jin family should have.

In contrast, Xu Heng is a perfect fit for the role of Jin Yanxi in terms of both appearance and temperament, at least during the audition. His acting skills are absolutely superb!

You Jianming remained silent. He knew that Li Dawei thought highly of Xu Heng, and Liu Guoquan naturally wouldn't say anything either.

What Li Dawei didn't know was that Xu Heng didn't need him to act with him at all.

Looking at his manly face, Xu Heng figured he might as well just act out a scene, so he decisively refused: "Director, forget it, I'm not interested in men!"

"Forehead……"

Li Dawei was stunned. His leg, which had been halfway out, stopped in mid-air.

He never expected that Xu Heng would be so "ungrateful"!

You Jianming almost burst out laughing, but Liu Guoquan's eyes lit up because Xu Heng at this moment was exactly the young master of the Jin family in his script!

As a spoiled young master from a prominent family, he naturally says whatever he wants and would never compromise himself in the slightest!

Most importantly, Xu Heng seemed completely nonchalant, not at all like he was putting on an act!

After a long pause, Li Dawei returned to his seat, and Xu Heng began his performance.

It must be said that Chen Kun's acting skills are indeed very good. At only 26 years old, he already has Lv.3 level acting skills.

Then, as soon as the scene ended, You Jianming, Li Dawei, and Liu Guoquan all nodded to each other secretly.

In particular, You Jianming also began to take an interest in Xu Heng.

He was even thinking to himself whether he should add Xu Heng to the final exam list first.

However, one scene was definitely not enough, so he had Xu Heng perform the remaining two scenes together, and also added a scene that was not in Xu Heng's script.

Xu Heng was not surprised at all; he completed everything very well, even exceeding the expectations of the three of them.

"Alright, your audition is over. Go back and wait for our call!"

You Jianming remained unmoved.

"Thank you to the producers, director, and screenwriter."

Xu Heng nodded again, then turned and left the room.

The three of them glanced at each other again, without needing to say anything more.

Although there was a slight problem with his attitude, the audition performance was definitely good enough to get him into the final round.

However, whether he can ultimately play the male lead will depend on his performance in the final audition.
