With 12 songs, this debut album from a newcomer is quite impressive.

These days, an album usually has 10 to 12 songs. The reason for this number is partly due to the physical limitations of the record itself, and partly because human psychology research shows that the average person's attention span and patience limit is around 45-50 minutes. Therefore, 10-12 songs is the golden ratio.

The production cost of physical records is very high; the arrangement, recording, mixing, and musician fees for a single song are extremely high.

Making one more song increases the cost, and 10-12 songs is the most cost-effective range. It can support the price of an album, which is not cheap at this point, costing 30-50 yuan for a genuine CD, while preventing the cost from getting out of control.

Xu Yuan didn't object to the number 12 songs, but when he heard that Song Mo planned to include 4 Chinese-style songs, he couldn't help but admire how bold this young man was.

For his debut album, he dared to release four songs whose styles had not yet been tested by the market.

However, he has learned his lesson and no longer directly objects. Instead, he glances at Bi Xiaoshi to the side without making a sound.

To everyone's surprise, Bi Xiaoshi completely ignored his frantically blinking eyes and slammed his hand on the table. "Okay, we'll do it your way. We'll find a producer now to help you prepare these four songs. As for the remaining eight songs, try to write them as soon as possible. Once all the songs are finalized, we'll assemble a production team."

Xu Yuan was about to go crazy when he heard this. Although he also hoped that Song Mo's album could be released soon, four Chinese-style songs were really too many.

He was hesitating whether to speak or not when he saw Bi Xiaoshi press his hand down towards him, so he held back.

Song Mo found this a bit strange. He was prepared for Xu Yuan to object, but unexpectedly, Xu Yuan remained silent this time.

However, he didn't mind. Since the two of them had agreed to his request, he could start digging out the lyrics and music of the other eight songs sooner.

After Song Mo left, the conference room fell silent.

Xu Yuan looked at Bi Xiaoshi and finally couldn't help but speak up: "Old Bi, why didn't you let me speak just now? Four Chinese-style songs, that's too risky. If the market doesn't accept it, his album will be a flop."

Bi Xiaoshi leaned back in his chair, picked up his teacup, took a sip, and said unhurriedly, "Weren't you quite impressed when you listened to 'Run Away' just now?"

Xu Yuan was taken aback: "That's rock music, Chinese style is different. Who knows if the market will accept it?"

"So, you don't know, I don't know, we can just take it one step at a time. He hasn't even written the song yet, why are we in such a hurry? When it comes time to produce the album, there will be plenty of opportunities to persuade him." Bi Xiaoshi looked very confident.

In his opinion, Song Mo has planned 12 songs. If he feels that there are too many Chinese-style songs and the risk is too great, he can simply remove two of them.

He could still release an album with ten songs, but if Song Mo's songs were to his liking, then twelve would be fine too; he was willing to take the gamble.

At this point, Xu Yuan also realized, "That's right, the song hasn't been released yet. During the later production and recording stages, the song can be scrapped at any time."

After he figured it out, he praised, "Old Bi, you've thought this through. Let him give full play to his talent for now. He can't possibly make every poem a classic, can he?"

Bi Xiaoshi, standing to the side, smiled without saying a word, thinking to himself, "How do you know that not every song of his can be a classic?"

His current confidence in Song Mo is so great it's terrifying.

As Song Mo left the conference room, he looked up and saw Jin Sha standing at the door of his office, looking down at her phone.

He tiptoed over, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, "Senior sister, who are you looking for?"

Jinsha was startled by the sudden sound, nearly dropping her phone. She jumped to the side, clutching her chest and glaring at him, "Song Mo! You scared me to death!"

Song Mo chuckled and took a step back: "I just asked a question lightly; you were just too focused."

"Was that a quiet question?" Jinsha slapped him playfully. "You were practically whispering in my ear!"

"Okay, okay, it's my fault." Song Mo smiled and admitted his mistake, pushing open the office door. "Come in and sit down?"

Jinsha followed him inside and sat down on the sofa. Watching him walk to the table to tidy up his things, she couldn't help but ask, "How did your talk with Teacher Bi and the others go? Is the album settled?"

"It's settled." Song Mo casually said, putting away the lyrics and music for "Elopement."

"Then you can release an album next year, right?" Jinsha's eyes widened in surprise.

"Probably. I need to finish writing the rest of the songs as soon as possible," Song Moyun said casually.

"If we become rich and powerful, let's not forget each other," Jinsha said with a smile.

Song Mo smiled and snapped his fingers. "I hope that opportunity will come."

"Oh, right," she suddenly remembered something, lowering her voice mysteriously, "I have something to tell you."

Seeing her expression, Song Mo became interested: "What is it?"

"I'm going to Singapore in a few days," Jinsha said, her eyes shining.

"Going to Singapore? What for?"

"I'm directing the music video for JJ Lin's new song," Jinsha said, a hint of pride in her voice. "I'm the female lead."

Song Mo was stunned for a moment, then realized that JJ Lin had started filming music videos, which meant that the songs for his new album were almost ready.

Come to think of it, even though I've become his junior brother, I've never actually met him.

However, for Jinsha, being able to appear in JJ Lin's music video is naturally a good thing.

JJ Lin is a rising star heavily promoted by Ocean Butterflies Music. Appearing in his music videos helps him gain exposure and also allows him to utilize resources internally.

He laughed and said, "Great, senior sister, you're about to shoot a music video, your debut isn't far off."

Jinsha waved her hand: "It's still early. JJ Lin is the main focus. I'm just here to make up the numbers."

Song Mo noticed the faint self-deprecation in her tone and didn't respond.

He thought for a moment and then suddenly said, "Senior sister, when my album starts filming music videos, if you have time, why don't you make a cameo appearance?"

Jinsha was taken aback: "Really?"

"Of course it's true," Song Mo said. "It's a shame you're not the female lead, with such good looks."

Jinsha felt a little embarrassed by his words.

"I'm serious," Song Mo said earnestly. "Just don't complain about the small size of my album production."

"How could that be?" Jinsha quickly waved her hand. "You're the top seed from Ocean Butterflies Music in Beijing, your album is bound to be good."

Song Mo smiled: "Senior sister, then I'll take that as a yes."

Jinsha smiled and nodded slightly.

He invited Jinsha to make a cameo appearance, naturally because he saw that JJ Lin had also invited her, and since he was Jinsha's junior brother, he couldn't just not do something in return.

Besides, his album production budget is probably limited, so having Jinsha star in the music video would save him some money, killing two birds with one stone.
