Chapter 100 Victory Celebration Banquet

Chapter 100 Victory Celebration Banquet

Bi Xiaoshi and Xu Yuan put a lot of thought into this celebration banquet.

The event was divided into two parts: the opening warm-up performance and ceremony were held at the Yanjing News Building, and the banquet was arranged at the Great Wall Building. Lion dance performances were also interspersed in between, making it look like a movie premiere.

Song Mo arrived at the News Building at four o'clock in the afternoon. The lobby had already been decorated, with a huge backdrop displaying the album cover of "Pen, Ink, Paper and Inkstone: Eighteen Martial Arts" and the words "Sales Across Asia Exceeded 170 Million Copies" written in gold next to it.

On both sides stood roll-up banners displaying congratulatory messages from various media outlets and Ocean Butterflies' senior members. Several stacks of albums were laid out at the registration area at the entrance, serving as gifts for the guests.

"You're here?" Bi Xiaoshi greeted him, wearing a dark suit and with his hair neatly combed. He looked much more energetic. "The guests are almost all here. You can go into the lounge first. Teacher He will come and go over the schedule with you later."

Song Mo nodded and followed the staff into the lounge. He had just sat down when the door was pushed open.

He Jiong leaned in halfway, wearing a light gray casual suit, his eyes crinkling as he smiled: "Song Mo, long time no see."

Song Mo stood up, smiled, and shook hands with him: "Teacher He, thank you for your hard work today."

"What's so hard about it? You've achieved such great results, of course I had to come." He Jiong sat down on the chair next to him, took out a few handwritten cards from his pocket, which were his hosting script.

"You've seen the process, right? I'll start by briefly introducing your achievements, then I'll invite Teacher Bi to the stage to give a speech, followed by the ice sculpture smashing, then the group interview with the media, and finally you'll announce the launch of your second album."

Song Mo smiled and said, "I understand."

He Jiong nodded: "Okay, you rest first, I'll go take a look ahead."

A short while later, a staff member knocked on the door and said that it was about to start.

Song Mo straightened his clothes and followed them outside.

The hall was already full of people. The front row was occupied by media reporters, with their cameras and microphones set up in a row. The back rows were occupied by radio station representatives.

Industry guests and fan representatives.

On the large screens on both sides, music video clips of "Jiangnan," "Happy Worship," and "My Territory" were playing on a loop, while "Summer" was playing from the speakers, its light and cheerful melody echoing throughout the hall.

Song Mo looked around and realized that Gao Yuanyuan, Fan Binbin, and Liu Yifei had not yet arrived.

Just as he was feeling puzzled, a commotion suddenly erupted at the door, accompanied by a series of exclamations.

Song Mo looked up and was stunned for a moment.

Three people walked in side by side.

On the far left is Gao Yuanyuan, wearing a white long dress with the hem trailing lightly on the ground. Her hair is loose, and she wears a pair of small pearl earrings. She looks like a quiet white magnolia, walking slowly through the crowd. She glances around as if she is looking for him.

In the middle is Fan Binbin, her red fishtail dress accentuating her smooth curves. She walks with ease, her collarbone revealing a delicate expanse of white skin, and her lips are painted with a matching lipstick. She is like a moving flame, the center of attention wherever she goes.

On the right is Liu Yifei, wearing a black dress with the hemline an inch above her knees, revealing a section of her straight calves. Her hair is styled in an updo, and the whiteness of her nape is on full display. She is the youngest, but her aloof temperament is already undeniable. Her eyes still carry the innocence of a young girl, yet just standing there, she manages to suppress the noise around her.

Three figures, one in white, one in red, and one in black, walked in, drawing all eyes to them.

The media reporters on site reacted quickly, immediately turning their cameras around and snapping photos of the three of them. For a moment, the flashes went off non-stop, making it quite like a movie premiere.

Once the reporters had quieted down a bit, Song Mo went up to them.

"Why did you all come together?" he asked with a smile, his gaze lingering on each of the three people in turn.

Before Gao Yuanyuan and Fan Binbin could speak, Liu Yifei spoke first.

She raised her chin slightly, her tone carrying a hint of arrogance: "What, not welcome?"

"Welcome, of course you're welcome," Song Mo said quickly, unable to suppress the smile on his lips.

"Why didn't you contact me after you've been back in Yanjing for so long?" Liu Yifei's eyes were bright, but her tone was accusatory, and her lips were slightly pouting. "I was waiting for you to personally deliver an autographed photo to me."

Looking at Liu Yifei, who was dressed in a black dress and looked like a mermaid, Song Mo could only sigh and say, "Didn't you have tutoring? I can't disturb you easily, otherwise your mother will really come looking for trouble."

"Tutoring is tutoring, and besides, is my mom going to eat you?" Liu Yifei rolled her eyes at him, but her tone softened a bit, clearly indicating that she also knew how terrifying her mother was.

Fan Binbin, unable to bear watching any longer, chuckled and tugged at Liu Yifei's hand: "Alright, alright, don't interrogate her right away. Song Mo, you've got quite the entourage today, haven't you? You've booked the entire News Building?"

"It was arranged by Teacher Bi. I was just a tool." Song Mo shook his head with a smile.

His gaze swept over the three of them, and he continued with a smile, "But seriously, you all look especially good today. The reporters went crazy just now."

Gao Yuanyuan smiled slightly, pursing her lips, without saying a word, but the tips of her ears turned slightly red.

Fan Binbin raised an eyebrow, her tone brimming with self-assured confidence: "Of course, look who we are. Today, we're going to steal the show."

Liu Yifei snorted and turned her face away, but the corners of her mouth were clearly upturned.

Song Mo stepped aside and gestured for them to come in, his tone exaggerated: "Three beautiful ladies, please come in. We've reserved the best seats for you."

The three of them walked in laughing, attracting the attention of the guests wherever they went.

It has to be said that with this whole stunt, reporters will probably never have to worry about running out of things to write about again.

Fan Binbin was very satisfied with the situation at the scene. The reason why the three of them appeared together today was naturally her idea.

The other two also hit it off immediately. Although they had different ideas, the response was quite positive at this point.

When most of the people had arrived, He Jiong quickly went on stage with a microphone in his hand, beaming with smiles.

"Distinguished guests, friends from the media, good evening. Welcome to the celebration banquet for Song Mo's 'Brush, Ink, Paper and Inkstone' which has surpassed 170 million copies in sales across Asia." He Jiong's voice resounded throughout the hall through the speakers, and a round of applause followed.

Then two lion dancers came onto the stage and performed.

This part left Song Mo completely bewildered, but it was something Bi Xiaoshi insisted on keeping. Song Mo strongly suspected that the lion dance team was invited because he was from Guangdong, but Bi Xiaoshi argued that the traditional element of lion dance just happened to correspond with the Chinese style of his album.

Although He Jiong was young at the time, his hosting skills were already excellent, and he had a strong ability to control the stage. After the lion dance, he quickly introduced the guests, and then invited Bi Xiaoshi, radio station representatives, and industry representatives to speak. The general idea was to praise Song Mo's album for its achievements and its impact on the market.

Then came the main event: the lights in the hall dimmed, and a spotlight shone on the left side of the stage.

Two staff members pushed a small cart onto the stage, on which was placed a crystal-clear ice sculpture with the number "1700000" engraved on it, reflecting a cold light under the lights.
