Huayu09: Starting with Hijacking Xiao Shenyang

"Uncle Wen, I need to owe you a favor in advance."

"You brat, what do you mean by owing each other anything? I'm still waiting for my older brother to get better so he can play Huang Silang."

"Thank you, Uncle Wen." Chen Mo expressed his gratitude sincerely, then changed the subject, "Uncle Zhang, I'll remember what I'm saying."

"OK."

Zhang Jiahao took out his notebook.

The people in the ward also stood up straight and listened attentively.

"First, I reviewed the film for 'Project Gutenberg' and brought the finished product back. Uncle Liu will coordinate with General Manager Jiang. Overseas distribution is General Manager Jiang's forte, so we'll just follow his arrangements. Benshan Media has only one requirement: sign a revenue-sharing contract, not a buyout."

"receive."

Zhang Jiahao and Liu Liu nodded in agreement.

"Secondly, regarding distribution, the domestic market will be handled by China Film Group, with a maximum distribution fee of 15%. We need to clarify this with Huayi Brothers, Huang, and Anle. The normal distribution fee is 10%, and any excess will be paid by Benshan Media."

"receive."

Zhang Jiahao and Liu Liu nodded again.

Film distribution fees fluctuate between 5% and 15%. Under normal circumstances, if China Film Group distributes "Project Gutenberg," they will at most charge a 10% distribution fee.

After all, Chen Mo has a complete publicity plan and a high-quality promotional song, so China Film Group doesn't need to advance any funds and it won't cost much.

But Chen Mo wanted to give more so that China Film Group could make money from it; there must be a reason behind this.

He didn't say anything, and nobody asked.

"Third, starting tomorrow, we will conduct simultaneous domestic and international promotions. The production team will be split into two groups. In North America, General Manager Jiang will lead the team, with the female lead Liu Yifei, Tang Wei, Zhang Baizhi, and Chen Weiting following the established promotional plan. In China, Uncle Wen will lead the team, with the male lead Liang Jiahui, Fan Xuexue, Deng Ziqi, Tang Jianjun, and Xiang Zuo participating in whatever programs, as arranged by the distributor."

"receive."

Those whose names were called nodded in unison.

"Fourth, Uncle Liu went to talk to China Film Group. When 'Project Gutenberg' is released, the number of screens on the first day should not be less than 2000, and the number of screenings should not be less than 20%. Zhang Weiping wanted to have a go at Benshan Media, right? Very well, I will not only make sure he doesn't have an easy time, I will make sure he dies a miserable death!"

Chen Mo's words were arrogant, but they were very satisfying to everyone. The old guy had declared that he would target "Peerless", so let's go head-to-head and fight to the death!

"Xiao Mo, Zhang Yimou's influence should not be underestimated."

Jiang Wen offered a reminder.

"Don't worry, Uncle Wen, I have other plans," Chen Mo replied confidently. "Alright, everyone, you don't need to stay here. Go about your own business..."

"etc."

Zhao Benshan suddenly opened his eyes.

"Fifth, Shen Yang, Xiao Hua, Ya Dan, and Ye Zi, you're following the 'Three Guns' crew for promotion. They're being unjust, so we can't be unjust either. Also, this is a feud between Master and Zhang Weiping, so don't let it affect you."

"Master, we didn't receive any money, so we have no obligation to help them promote their work. I'll stay here with you."

Xiao Shenyang shook his head violently, tears welling in his eyes.

Things have already come to this, why bother going to the "A Simple Noodle Story" crew? I really regret taking on this terrible movie.

"Listen to me, go ahead. With Xiao Mo here, no matter how much they promote it, it's all in vain. The two movies are not even in the same league."

Zhao Benshan's attitude was firm.

"Yes, Master."

The fellow disciples had no choice but to agree.

As everyone left to attend to their own business, Liu Xiaoli and Liu Yifei also prepared to leave, since they were outsiders.

"Old Liu..."

Chen Mo called out softly.

"Oh, what's wrong?"

"Stay with me. Master's wife and Aunt Liu should go home and rest. Bring some food over tomorrow morning. Master doesn't like the hospital food."

"Okay, I can rest assured with you here." Ma Lijuan took Liu Xiaoli's hand and said affectionately as she passed Liu Yifei, "My dear, you've worked hard."

"Auntie, Mom, be careful on the road."

Liu Yifei said obediently.

The overcrowded ward was now empty except for a drowsy Zhao Benshan, Chen Mo, and Liu Yifei.

"Does it hurt?"

Chen Mo pulled Liu Yifei's small hand, wanting to touch her peeling arm but not daring to.

"It doesn't hurt. I used to get injured a lot when filming. This is nothing. It'll be fine in a few days."

Liu Yifei shook her head and gave a silly smile.

"Silly girl~" Chen Mo got up and grabbed the first-aid kit, then patted his thigh, "Come sit down."

"Oh~"

Liu Yifei sat down obediently. After that incident, she no longer resisted physical contact and was not embarrassed when no one was around.

Chen Mo supported Liu Yifei's waist with his left hand and picked up a cotton swab with his right hand, dipping it in iodine.

"It might hurt a little."

"It's okay, come on."

"Here we go."

"Ouch~ That really hurts a bit~"

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh... blow on it and it won't hurt anymore."

"It really doesn't hurt anymore, hehe~"

"Silly boy."

After disinfecting with iodine, Chen Mo wrapped the affected area with gauze, and then gently turned Liu Yifei half a circle to face him.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

Liu Yifei lowered her head again.

Staring at that succubus's face so closely, and with sincerity written all over it, what young girl could resist blushing and her heart racing?

"Do you want to?"

"In no mood."

"I asked you if you wanted to go to America. If you didn't, then someone else would go. What are you thinking?"

Chen Mo gently tapped the silly girl's forehead.

"Ugh~"

Liu Yifei punched the scoundrel.

"Are you cold?"

"Cold~"

"Then hold me tighter."

"Okay~"

Liu Yifei leaned forward and snuggled into Chen Mo's arms, her long legs dangling in the air as she happily swayed back and forth.

"Ahem..." My old mentor coughed twice. "Young man, that's enough. Take care of the old comrades who are still lying in bed."

"Master, it would be so much better if you remained unconscious."

"You son of a bitch..."

……

……

The next few days were a frenzy for entertainment reporters.

"Peerless" is unparalleled in the world, and "Bubble" is so good!

[Sony Inc. of the United States, Toho Co., Ltd. of Japan, CJ Entertainment of Korea and other overseas companies gathered in Beijing as "Dynasty Warriors" made a strong entry into the overseas market]

[A friend of mine commented that "Project Gutenberg" is amazing, while "A Simple Noodle Story" is just a fast-food movie.]

Director Chen has not responded to the allegations of diva-like behavior.

On September 22nd, will the veteran director retain his position, or will the new director seize power? Let's wait and see.

Can Zhao's troupe shed its vulgar label? Can Teacher Zhao get revenge?

The promotional campaigns for "Project Gutenberg" and "A Simple Noodle Story" were launched simultaneously, with all sorts of news flying around. The public was thrilled and placed their bets on Zhang Yimou, after all, a film produced by the "National Director" is bound to be a masterpiece.

Nobody would believe that reporter who made things up out of thin air.

of course.

Some people are also very interested in "Project Gutenberg," a Cannes Film Festival award-winning film co-produced by mainland China and Hong Kong, which is worth the price of a movie ticket.

Hopefully it's not a terrible movie.

Despite the changing world, Chen Mo remained by his mentor's bedside.

Remain unperturbed by favor or disgrace, and calmly watch the flowers bloom and fade in the courtyard.

I have no intention of staying or leaving; I simply let the clouds drift and gather in the sky.

"Master, I've finished telling you all the stories from when I was a child. How about I tell you a story called 'To Live'?"

Chen Mo asked softly.

"Yu Hua's 'To Live'? My master has read it before and doesn't want to listen to it again."

Zhao Benshan shook his head, indicating his refusal.

"Oh dear, you've become picky. Did you eat too much for breakfast?"

"So what? I'm sick, that's my right. Tell Master a story you've never heard before."

People say old people are like little children, but you, old man, have so many things to worry about.

"Hurry up, peel another orange for Master."

Zhao Benshan has been bedridden for more than a month. The gauze on his head has been removed, and his blood pressure has mostly recovered. The doctor suggested that he not be discharged yet and should be observed for a longer period of time.

Chen Mo and Ma Lijuan believed it was very necessary.

"You, all you do is bully Xiao Mo."

Ma Lijuan put the peeled orange into Zhao Benshan's mouth.

Da Niu and Xiao Qiu also came back to take care of him.

These past few days, my older brother has been telling my dad stories, and he's been so engrossed that he doesn't want to leave the ward.

"Then let's tell a story about mechs fighting monsters."

Chen Mo thought of "Pacific Rim," which would be released a few years later. Mecha is a man's eternal romance, and no one, young or old, can escape it.
