Huayu09: Starting with Hijacking Xiao Shenyang

on the plane.

The "Project Gutenberg" crew secretly traveled to Hong Kong, fearing that being photographed by the media would expose the "A Simple Noodle Story" crew.

Since Zhang Yimou had previously shown Chen Mo some respect, Chen Mo naturally couldn't repay kindness with enmity.

Filming for "A Simple Noodle Story" has already started in Gansu Province, a month earlier than in the original timeline. I wonder what Zhang and Zhang are planning.

These past few days, Chen Mo still hasn't had time to spend money.

Jiang Zhiqiang's point is that with "Project Gutenberg" launching in overseas markets, North America, as the world's largest box office market, must be given serious consideration, so the original script is not very suitable.

There were too many dramatic scenes, and the ending was weak.

If the film were released overseas, Li Wen wouldn't necessarily have to die. The ending, with the male and female protagonists' blurry figures escaping at sea, would leave more room for speculation for the audience and foreshadow a sequel.

Besides.

Add more visually striking scenes with gore, violence, and sex to make it more appealing to foreign audiences.

Chen Mo is an imposter screenwriter, so naturally he doesn't have that ability.

But you can copy it!

The Oscar-winning film "The Departed," adapted from the Hong Kong film "Infernal Affairs," was released just a couple of years ago. It's best to adapt it according to its narrative rhythm and scope.

The biggest selling point of "Dynasty Warriors" in overseas markets, or more specifically in North America, is the production of sufficiently realistic counterfeit US dollars. However, Asian faces are not well received, making promotion extremely important.

Chen Mo's solution to this is...

By copying successful cases from later generations, one can achieve great things with little money.

"Ahem... um..." Zhao Benshan saw his apprentice pacing back and forth, hesitating several times before finally snapping, "You want me to play the painter?!"

Chen Mo stopped typing and asked in confusion, "Why can't you play a painter?"

"Me... this painter is a ruthless mob boss who kills without blinking an eye, while I'm just a comedian. Is that appropriate?"

"Is it inappropriate? You act in sketches on screen, but in private..."

"Shut up! I'm afraid the audience will be distracted if they see my face."

"Didn't I say before that if we want to change the stereotypes in the audience's minds, let's start with 'Project Gutenberg'! If you're worried about being out of place, dye your hair. Also, find a voice actor."

"..."

"Master, do you know why we made 'Project Gutenberg'?"

"To recoup the company's losses."

"That's only one reason. Another reason is to elevate the prestige of the Zhao family troupe. As the master, I need to set a good example."

In 2009, Hong Kong cinema was in decline, but it was still a good place for mainland filmmakers to gain experience and make a name for themselves; a trip there would bring back at least double their salary.

"Big brother, Xiao Mo is right. If the master doesn't dare to take that step, the apprentices will only become more restrained. If I didn't have a script in my hand that I was in a hurry to revise, I would want to play the painter."

Jiang Wen, who was studying the script, took a moment to offer a reminder.

Chen Mo's hand trembled uncontrollably.

Three seconds later.

"Damn it, let's do it!"

Teacher Zhao gritted his teeth and stamped his foot, thinking, "He's just a painter, right? Old Zhao will just play along."

Chen Mo had no worries about his old mentor's acting skills.

Is it possible that a veteran actor, whose background clearly indicates he's a blind man, can't handle the domineering and charismatic gangster boss?

Art originates from life but transcends it.

Do you understand the value of having Benshan as a go-to place for help after passing the first hurdle?

They're so professional!

Who will play Li Wen?

"Liang Jiahui".

Chen Mo blurted it out.

This actor's acting skills are beyond question; they are definitely better than Aaron Kwok's, and his salary is not high.

Most importantly, Chen Mo had a very good impression of him.

"He immediately joined the cast of 'Bodyguards and Assassins,' a patriotic film that the higher-ups are taking quite seriously."

Jiang Wen reminded him.

His wife, Zhou Yun, is on set, so he knows the situation there quite well. Liang Jiahui has a lot of scenes to film, and he's scheduled to join the crew in June. It won't be finished in less than ten days to half a month.

Chen Mo remained silent.

Zhao Benshan immediately understood that his apprentice was determined to use Liang Jiahui.

What can a master do?

Let's try our best to coordinate!

……

……

The plane landed at Hong Kong Airport.

Yang Shoucheng and Jiang Zhiqiang personally came to pick them up at the airport.

This clearly shows how much importance is attached to it!

The two men wielded far greater influence in Hong Kong than Zhao Benshan.

But if they go to the mainland, they still have to give the Northeast King a little face.

Yinghuang's board of directors is currently discussing a full-scale expansion into the northern market, and results will be available soon. Jiang Wen alone is not enough; winning over Benshan Media is the best approach.

First, it has abundant funds.

Secondly, a Cannes award-winning screenwriter is in charge.

They can produce high-quality content without worrying about money, making them the best partners.

"Benshan, the hotel is booked. However, Xiang Sheng also wants to meet you after hearing the news. We're all in the Hong Kong entertainment circle, so I can't refuse."

Yang Shoucheng warmly grasped Zhao Benshan's hand, his words tinged with helplessness.

Yinghuang and Huaguoxing are competitors, but their main businesses are different.

Otherwise, they would have fought to the death long ago.

"Then let's meet them. Brother Yang, Brother Jiang, and Mr. Xiang—the entire Hong Kong entertainment industry is here. To be honest, I'm quite nervous."

"Hahaha…"

"I've heard about Liu Dehua's situation; he's the one who should be worried."

"We're all friends, it's just a matter of asking."

The bigwigs were having a lively conversation.

Liu Yifei followed Chen Mo, wanting to speak but unsure how.

That scoundrel of a man, doesn't he know how to cherish a woman?

You expect me to take the initiative?

Hate!

"Old Liu!"

"Hey, here I come~"

"This is the international version of the script and Nguyen Van's character biography."

"Huh?! There's an international version of the script?"

"Of course. Producer Jiang said that 'Project Gutenberg' is going to be shown on overseas screens, especially in the North American market. The audience there has different tastes than us, and they might not understand it if the script isn't changed."

"Oh, oh, oh..." Liu Yifei nodded blankly. This meant she was going to try her luck in Hollywood again. The surprise came too fast, like a tornado. "The international script, did you finish it these past two days?"

"Yeah, my fingers are numb from typing."

"Thank you for your hard work."

"That's it?"

"Then what should I do? Should I give you my hand?"

Liu Yifei stretched out her fair and delicate little hand.

Chen Mo glanced at it.

These little hands are so pretty. If I really had one, wouldn't it take off in the dead of night?

"Snapped!"

Liu Yifei gave someone a flick on the forehead.

What are you thinking about with those dirty eyes?

Ugh~

"Keep your hands for yourself, but I can rub them for you."

Chen Mo did not push his luck.

"Huh? That's not a good idea..."

Liu Yifei was reluctant, but her refusal was not thorough.

"That's true, men and women shouldn't touch each other. I'll add more nude scenes for you, preferably sex scenes. As a director, I always strive for perfection, and actors must never use body doubles."

Chen Mo made a bluff.

"Oh no...no, no, no!" Liu Yifei was so frightened that she trembled and quickly reached out her small white hands to grasp Chen Mo's large hand, awkwardly kneading it. "I'll knead it for you, I'll knead it for you, okay?"

Liu Yifei worked like a hardworking ox, putting in a lot of effort.

I was still very resentful.

So what if you're a director?

I'm not your free labor. Once "Project Gutenberg" wraps up filming, I'll definitely give you a good beating.

"What are you cricketing about over there?"

"No, Xiaoqianzi is at your service~"

"sensible!"

The two were inseparable, a handsome man and a virtuous woman, their chemistry was almost overflowing.

Ma Lijuan and Liu Xiaoli exchanged a smile.

it is more than words.
