Douluo Dragon King: I'm creating a golden age behind the scenes!

The All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament is one of the biggest events on the Star Luo Continent besides the coronation of a new emperor. This competition is a legacy from the ancient times of the Douluo Continent.

Since ancient times, people on the Douluo Continent have taken pride in becoming Soul Masters, and thus various competitions related to Soul Masters have emerged.

This competition originated 20,000 years ago and was founded by the Spirit Hall, which controlled the vast majority of spirit masters at the time, in order to select outstanding talents among young spirit masters.

However, since the Douluo Continent became a federation, various powerful forces have emerged, and they generally cultivate and select talent from a young age.

The Federation also realized that holding such continental events was of little use except for providing some benefits to the elites of those powerful forces, and it was also a waste of resources. It would be better to use the resources elsewhere.

As a result, this competition gradually faded out of the Federation, and only some localities or forces would hold some local competitions in order to showcase the strength of the younger generation.

On the Star Luo Continent, due to its unique historical environment and national system, this long-standing competition has been continued.

It is held every three years in Xingluo City, the capital of Xingluo Continent, and all Soul Masters under the age of twenty can sign up to participate.

Of course, there are also requirements for registration. Soul Masters with a Soul Power level below 20 are not allowed to participate.

Participants also need to pay a registration fee.

The registration period lasted for a full month, and with the emergence and development of Soul Master Battle Armor and Mechs, the competition system has also changed.

The current All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition mainly includes four competition formats: one-on-one, two-on-two, seven-on-seven challenge matches, and mecha challenge matches.

Competitions do not include secondary professions such as forging and mecha manufacturing.

The entire competition was focused on combat, aiming to inspire the fighting spirit of the younger generation of the Star Luo Empire and the martial spirit of the entire nation.

Here, the Soul Masters still adhere to the ancient belief that "after mastering both literary and martial arts, one should sell oneself to the emperor."

All participants who achieve good results in the competition will have this achievement recorded in their files, and will receive different preferential treatment in their studies, job search, or military service.

Those who are exceptionally outstanding will be recruited by the Star Luo Empire's royal family.

Furthermore, this differs from the Douluo Continent Federation's emphasis on collective military operations and its focus on the collective good.

Compared to the Douluo Federation, the Star Luo Continent places greater emphasis on individual martial prowess. They believe that as long as an individual is strong, they can play a decisive role in war.

Therefore, the one-on-one challenge matches are the most valued and welcomed by the audience in every competition.

This is a no-rules challenge; you are allowed to use any power you possess and can control during the competition.

This is also the competition with the most generous rewards, making the one-on-one matches the most exciting and intense.

Finally, after a well-organized registration process, the number of legally registered participants reached over five thousand, with almost all eligible Soul Masters choosing to register.

It is said that this year's number of applicants is the highest in the last ten years, with previous years typically having more than three thousand applicants.

It seems that there is a rumor that after this year's All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament, the Star Luo Emperor will choose a consort for his little princess Dai Yun'er.

That was the most favored princess in the royal family. For these young talents in the world of soul masters, this was undoubtedly a chance to rise to the top in one step.

The better you are at achieving excellent results in the competition, the higher your chances of being selected, and therefore the more people will sign up.

The competition will officially begin one day after the registration deadline.

People from the exchange teams don't need to go through the hassle of queuing to register; their registration is handled directly by the Star Luo Empire.

On the Body Sect's side, everyone will naturally participate in one-on-one matches, while other competitions are optional.

At Shrek Academy, everyone except the few support-type Soul Masters will participate in the individual competitions, and all members will also participate in the two-on-two matches. They've also registered for the team battles.

Zuo Qiulun and Wei Heng could both sense that Shrek Academy's higher-ups might be taking this more seriously this time.

[But can those students handle this level of competition?]

……

The All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament has finally begun amidst great anticipation.

The competition was held at the Xingluo Grand Stadium in Xingluo City. However, due to the large number of participants, the preliminary rounds took a long time after being divided into groups by the system.

In order to quickly reduce the number of participants, the organizers adjusted the competition rules. The new rules are fairer than the old ones, but also more brutal.

The rules stipulate that all preliminary rounds are elimination rounds; if a contestant loses even one match, they will be eliminated and their participation in the competition will end.

The first event was the individual competition, which was also the most anticipated and intense competition.

Inside the Xingluo Grand Stadium, fifty arenas were set up, and the contestants competed according to the match order and arena number.

There is no fixed competition time. Once a match on the stage ends, the next match begins immediately, and this cycle continues until all the preliminary rounds are completed.

Each participant has a unique electronic entry number that contains their detailed information, and there are time limits for participating.

Being late or missing the match time will be considered as a forfeit and a loss.

However, due to the sheer number of participants, even if all fifty competition stages were held simultaneously, the competition would still last for several days. The organizers couldn't possibly allow the Emperor of the Star Luo Empire to sit there for several days straight.

Therefore, the opening ceremony of this year's All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition was not scheduled before the preliminary rounds. Instead, the opening ceremony would be held after a portion of the contestants were eliminated in the preliminary rounds.

The Star Luo Grand Stadium is the largest stadium in the entire Star Luo Empire, and even the Star Luo Continent. It is also the most advanced stadium, capable of accommodating hundreds of thousands of people at the same time.

The competition has become incredibly popular due to news that the results would affect the princess's marriage.

Long before the competition even started, all tickets had already been sold out, and the stadium was packed.

The tournament organizers may well have enough revenue from the preliminary round tickets alone to offset the tournament's promotional expenses.

Furthermore, the competition will be broadcast live via Soul Guidance Live, which covers the entire Star Luo Continent.

Therefore, the atmosphere was not only lively in Xingluo City, but throughout the entire Xingluo Continent.

Looking at the huge crowd, the contestants were all eager to get on stage and show off their skills.

Because the order of participants is randomized, the competitions for the Shrek Academy students are not concentrated on one day.

However, even though it was only the preliminary round, in the following days,

The area around Xingluo Stadium remains crowded, and many streets have been closed.

The Shrek Academy and Body Sect disciples also managed to squeeze through the crowd and enter the main stadium through the contestant's exclusive passage by relying on their electronic contestant badges.

As soon as Wei Heng entered the stadium, the first thing he felt was the incredibly enthusiastic atmosphere from the stands.

Cheers rose and fell like crashing waves, the enormous sound making it difficult for people to hear each other even when they were close together.

That was the cheers of 300,000 people!

Inside the large stadium, rows of competition stands stand side by side, each protected by a dedicated soul-guided shield to prevent mutual interference or energy leakage.

When Wei Heng stepped onto the arena, the surrounding soul-guiding shield had not yet risen, and he could hear the deafening cheers.

If a normal person were to participate, they would probably be influenced by the high spirits of the audience and feel nervous or excited.

However, the gunmanship and mental state that Wei Heng had honed over the years had made him naturally unaffected by such emotions, and Wei Heng only felt an unparalleled peace in his heart.

The contestants in the preliminary rounds were not strong, and with Wei Heng and Zuo Qiulun's strength far exceeding that of their peers, they easily defeated their opponents.

Most of the disciples of the Body Sect also passed the preliminary selection with ease and entered the next stage of the competition.

The students of Shrek Academy, whether out of bad luck or deliberate arrangement, found themselves repeatedly encountering groups of very strong peers in both individual and team competitions.

Although those people were not as strong as the Shrek students, some of them still failed in the preliminary rounds.

Cai Yue'er has recently been getting angry about this and has been using it as an excuse to give her disciples extra training.

However, according to the disciples' descriptions, the young people they encountered should all be from the same faction.

Because they were all dressed in dark red tight-fitting clothes, with a black pattern on their chests. The pattern looked rather strange; it was round overall, but one side was open, like a giant mouth revealing sharp teeth, giving it a fierce and menacing appearance.

Subsequent investigation revealed that they all came from a place called "Monster Academy".

That was an academy specially established by the Star Luo Empire royal family to cultivate high-end local combat power, modeled after Shrek Academy. The rules and atmosphere of the academy were extremely similar to those of Shrek Academy.

It is said that there is also a Limit Douluo serving as the dean there, which gathers all the geniuses of the Star Luo Continent, and some powerful figures have emerged from there.

They even created a Monster Academy with "Eight Heavenly Kings," modeled after the "Shrek Seven Monsters" of Shrek Academy.

However, unlike the original novel, the Star Luo Continent's strategy in this competition, which emphasizes the elite "Eight Heavenly Kings" of the Monster Academy, is different.

In this competition, Monster Academy seems to have chosen to mobilize all its resources, and many local academies have also sent their best students to participate, deliberately targeting Shrek Academy's students.

After a moment's thought, Wei Heng understood Xingluo's plan.

[It seems that the Star Luo Continent received word of the Douluo Continent incident and learned about Shrek Academy's experiences and the turmoil surrounding the Body Sect.]

The disciples of the Body Sect participating in the competition are irrelevant. As a traditional sect, even if they win, it doesn't mean anything. It only makes the Body Sect famous in Star Luo and recruits more disciples.

But Shrek Academy is different. Because their reputation and prestige have been damaged, they intend to use the young talents of Xingluo Academy as whetstones, even "stepping stones," to forge Shrek's new generation of elites and solidify their illustrious reputation as "the number one academy on the continent."

Thinking of this, Wei Heng's eyes sharpened.

But this is the key reason why the Star Luo Empire cannot tolerate it! Shrek's actions have undoubtedly trampled the dignity of the Star Luo Continent underfoot.

If the Shrek elites truly sweep aside the younger generation of Star Luo Continent in front of the entire population as expected, once the news is broadcast live...

Within the Star Luo Kingdom, public sentiment will inevitably waver, questioning the empire's ability to cultivate talent and even shaking trust in the royal family.

The Star Luo royal family has always valued the people's hearts as their lifeline, and they could not sit idly by and watch Shrek Academy "trample on their face." Once Wei Heng understood this, he knew why Monster Academy had come out in full force.

This is not recklessness, but a perfectly legitimate and open strategy!

A large number of ordinary disciples, as well as elite soul masters from various local academies, were sent into battle first.

Although these people have a very slim chance of winning against Shrek Academy's elite disciples.

But the higher-ups at Star Luo didn't care about their victory or defeat at all! What they gave up was "people," but what they gained was valuable "intelligence."

Every fallen or departed Star Luo Soul Master is a living battle report.

How many of Shrek students' soul skills were forced out? The fighting style, teamwork, soul power consumption rate, core tactics, and even the hidden trump cards of Shrek elites will be gradually tested and discovered by these successive "cannon fodder" or "spies".

No matter how strong Shrek Academy is, it's impossible for them to maintain their peak condition in a continuous series of battles. Their trump cards will gradually be revealed as the battle progresses.

Xingluo is using quantity to gain information depth, using a series of attacks from those Soul Masters to gradually wear down the morale of these Shrek elite disciples and the trump cards they have prepared for this competition.

Even if Xingluo suffers heavy losses in the early stages, it can withstand them, which is itself a silent declaration of its strength.

If the subsequent appearance of elite disciples can seize the opportunity, achieve impressive results, or even defeat the exhausted Shrek elites, then all the "sacrifices" made in the early stages will be portrayed as "layouts" and "strategies," instantly reversing public opinion.

The Star Luo Empire can not only save face, but also use this opportunity to promote its positive image of being far-sighted and dedicated to the country and its people.

Wei Heng's lips curled into a knowing smile.

From any perspective, the Star Luo Empire's move is a sure win.

[The idea is good, but when faced with an absolute difference in strength, no amount of information will be of any use.]

Can you stop us?
