Chapter 28 Miss Honey's Blood Selling Story

"Is that spatial equipment?" Chi Que thought of the rumors he had seen at the transfer station. Only equipment recognized by the system could be put into the backpack, and other items could only be carried conveniently by spatial equipment.

It's said that the price of space equipment is at least a thousand points. He can afford it, but he doesn't have the connections.

The merchant was slightly surprised, glanced at the nobleman, and muttered, "I underestimated you..."

He then counted the number of bat-men and a smile spread across his face: "There are four blood coins in total."

"Are you kidding me?!" A warrior-like man in the Azure team spoke up. "There are five bat-man corpses here! How can they only be worth four blood coins?!"

The merchant glanced at him, and the two guards stepped forward. His face turned pale instantly, as if facing a formidable enemy.

His intuition told him that the two guards were as powerful as a typical combat-type purple class!

"Step back." The azure nobleman placed his hand on the longsword at his waist, his eyes fixed on the merchant. "I need an explanation. My dignity will not allow my men to be deceived."

The merchant snorted and gestured for the two guards to return, saying, "These monsters don't have much blood on them, and they're horrible and smelly. Each one is only worth two or three blood coins. You're not even fresh anymore. I'll buy them for one blood coin at most."

"Then there should be five of them," a strategist-like figure in the group couldn't help but ask.

"This is a blood tax offered to Her Excellency the Duchess," the merchant said calmly. "All transactions are like this."

"That is, a 20% tax..." Chi Que estimated in his mind. To be honest, it wasn't too outrageous, but compared to the players' situation, it was quite despairing.

In other words, to buy an invitation, you must find a way to earn at least 12,500 Blood Coins!

This is just for one player, and doesn't even take into account other expenses within the territory!

He couldn't help but shake his head. Instead of focusing on that, he should think of other ways to get an invitation.

However, let's go into the city first.

He turned his gaze back to the group of Azure. They seemed to have reached a conclusion. The nobleman was the first to step forward and exchange his blood for five blood coins. Then his subordinates stepped forward one by one, some exchanging for ten, some for seven, and some for eight.

The most ruthless one exchanged for more than twenty blood coins, which surprised the merchant.

Afterwards, Azure and her group paid the entrance fee, which was one blood coin, and entered the town one after another.

"These people are obviously not used to selling blood. Before selling blood, they drink a lot of water to make their stomachs bulge, and then they sell it. This way, the blood they sell can be diluted with more water, which is less harmful to their bodies."

A crisp voice rang out from behind Chi Que.

He looked back and saw a beautiful young girl standing gracefully at the entrance to the mist, seemingly having just come out.

He was about to complain about what an old joke it was, but he froze the moment he saw the other person's face.

"You know me?" The girl tilted her head.

"No, I don't know him." Chi Que quickly realized what was happening and immediately denied it.

If people found out that he had watched the TV series "Sherlock Holmes", his life would probably be over.

Yes, the girl in front of me is the female lead who mysteriously disappeared shortly after the filming of this drama.

"What a strange person..." the girl muttered, then suddenly leaned closer. "What's your player class?"

Chi Que took a few steps back uncomfortably, really not wanting to get involved with this person. He was about to refuse firmly when the other person introduced himself first: "My profession is an artist, and my name is a secret, so you can call me Miss Mi'er."

Is this some kind of lame joke?

Chi Que couldn't help but think of it.

"Miss Mia...right?" But on the surface, he still gave an awkward but polite smile: "My player class is chef."

Hmm, how can this be considered lying?

Mi'er stared at him for a while, then suddenly lost interest in him, shook her head, and walked away.

Chi Que looked up, feeling utterly bewildered.

The missing actress becoming a player of a great game feels like a dream.

"Let's see how she gets into town." He suddenly became curious about what she would do.

Then he saw that Miss Honey obediently gave him a cup of blood and then went into the city.

That's it!

He felt that his expectations had been dashed.

Just as Chi Que was inwardly complaining, a new change occurred on the merchant's side. His expression suddenly changed, and he smashed the cup to the ground, splashing the scarlet liquid everywhere.

"Damn little liar! How dare he try to fool me with fake blood!" the merchant shouted viciously.

Chi Que was slightly taken aback.

Fake blood?

He stepped forward and examined the pool of blood.

"What are you looking at?" the merchant snapped irritably.

"I'm thinking..." Chi Que said thoughtfully, "How is this fake blood made?"

"What do you mean?" The businessman immediately became restless.

Just as the businessman was about to teach this kid who dared to dance in his minefield a lesson, Chi Que continued, "It's a pity, there's still a lack of technology. If it were me, I could build something better."

The merchant was taken aback: "What did you say?"

"I said, I can make better ones." Chi Que raised his head and said, "These fake bloodstains are probably blood plasma disguised as bat-men's blood. They are still blood in essence, just very inferior."

He guessed that Mi'er must also have the ability to disguise herself, since a lot of fake blood is needed in acting, but the fake blood she produced could never compare to the blood she used when she staged an assassination scene.

After all, the blood in a play only needs to look convincing, but the blood at an assassination scene needs to fool the experts.

"Is that so?" The businessman looked at him skeptically. "In that case, why don't you give me a demonstration right here?"

As he spoke, he dragged a bat-man's corpse from under the stall: "If you don't do a good job, you'll have to pay with your own blood."

The businessman threatened.

Chi Que smiled slightly, took the bat-man's corpse, and released the foul-smelling blood from its body, which had already begun to turn black and congeal.

He then set up a small pot next to the merchant's stall, and then, quite surprisingly, he used what he had on hand, collecting some plant roots and stems from the surrounding area, and then put them all into the pot to start cooking.

Many players passed by along the way. Most of them only glanced at Chi Que before hurriedly exchanging their blood coins at the merchant's stall. A few who tried to chat with him quickly left.

There's no other reason than the taste...

Chi Que was wearing a thick mask, and even though he deliberately sat upwind, it was still a bit too much for his eyes.

As time passed and dusk gradually descended, the dark sun sparingly cast its last rays upon the earth.

The merchant, preparing to pack up his stall, glanced at Chi Que and asked, "Hey, are you selling your blood or not?"
