Huayu: Were you ever a top star before writing nonsense?

January 17nd, 9:00 AM.

Inside the girls' dormitory at Beijing Film Academy, Jing Tian, a freshman in the 07 acting class, sat quietly in front of her computer. Her sweet face was marred by a furrowed brow, clearly indicating that she was in a bad mood.

On September 20th last month, she released her first EP album, "Who Are You," but the songs didn't even make it onto the charts of major music platforms, and there was very little discussion about them online.

Even though the producer is the musical genius Zhang Yadong, and the singers performing the songs are very good-looking...

Even the album's title track, "Who Are You," won the first CCTV China Arts and Literature Chart Mainland Music MV Award.

As for how he won the award... well, don't ask.

Jing Tian was frustrated because, just five days after she released her solo album, a new singer named Shen Can suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The first two songs quickly soared to the top of various music charts, and their success continued to grow, as if they were on a winning streak.

For example, on QQ Music, Shen Can's songs are still number one on both the New Songs Chart and the Hot Songs Chart.

What does this mean?

Countless musicians across the country may never have a song that makes it onto the charts of major music platforms in their entire lives, let alone reach number one on two charts!

Even more so, he has two other new songs on these charts, both of which are excellent songs that have become hits across the internet.

There's a saying in the entertainment industry: "A hit song is like a retirement insurance policy."

For singers, having just one hit song can secure their livelihood for the rest of their lives.

Shen Can has three songs like this!

They've only been in the industry for a mere 22 days!

The duration of practice is unknown, but judging from some entertainment media reports, Shen Can has not received professional music training.

Even now, Jing Tian finds it all incredibly surreal.

Shen Can, a student from a rural area in Southwest China and a self-taught musician, has stirred up such a huge storm.

We both released three songs, so why is there such a big difference between us?

Jing Tian had a strange feeling, as if Shen Can had taken her script, and Shen Can's achievements in music were the version of herself she had imagined.

For someone like Shen Can, becoming famous through music is an incredibly difficult task, but it seems to have been an effortless success.

Jing Tian was very upset.

Without comparison, there is no harm; compared to Shen Can, she was deeply hurt.

You should know that after her song flopped, some of the rumors circulating on campus were quite nasty.

"I knew she was just a pretty face. Did she think that with the backing of big money, she could debut and become a sensation in the music industry? She doesn't have that ability, you know? The Chinese entertainment industry isn't that simple."

"Even Zhang Yadong couldn't help her, which shows how incompetent she is."

"Jing Tian should just stick to studying acting and not try to break into the music scene, lest she ruin the reputation of our Beijing Film Academy. Shen Can from the Shanghai Theatre Academy is an exception."

"..."

These words caused Jing Tian to fall into self-doubt for a time.

What's even more infuriating is that Shuangzi, who shares a dorm room with Shen Can, has become a fan of his songs. She often listens to Shen Can's songs in the dorm and then says, "Now that's what I call good music."

Jing Tian strongly suspected that Shuang Zi was deliberately trying to anger her, but Jing Tian had no evidence.

At this moment.

Jing Tian sat in front of the computer, wanting to see what kind of new song Shen Can released today was.

Will he continue his success, or will he falter?

Jing Tian prayed that Shen Can would fail and only burn three songs.

Doesn't she have any pride?

Wouldn't it be better if we all happily played the role of "bad students"?

"They're here."

Jing Tian refreshed the Tudou.com page.

Tudou.com seemed to be giving Shen Can a lot of face; as soon as the music video was released, they immediately put it on their homepage.

She understood this, after all, she was no longer a 16-year-old kid like Shuangzi; she was 19.

Websites also need visitors.

There are now over 100 video websites online. Even the largest video website, Tudou.com, with tens of millions of views, faces competition, a survival crisis, and pressure to generate profits.

Undoubtedly, Shen Can's new song music video can bring increased viewership and new users to Tudou.com.

It has to be said that it is an exaggeration for a new singer to become so popular in such a short time. Jing Tianqiao's face showed envy.

If only it were her!

However, it was just a thought. Jing Tian clicked on the homepage and entered the MV playback page.

The first thing that catches the eye is a very pleasing cover, showing a handsome man and a beautiful woman walking hand in hand on campus, their faces full of sweetness.

The scent of love is overwhelming.

Jing Tian's gaze immediately fell on the boy.

He is handsome and dashing, with a great physique, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and well-defined muscles.

There are actually quite a few handsome guys at the Beijing Film Academy, since majors like acting largely rely on looks.

But she has to admit that, in her opinion, Shen Can's looks would be considered top-tier even at the Beijing Film Academy.

He's really handsome!

Anyway, she was often captivated by Shen Can's good looks.

Shen Can is especially radiant when he's focused on playing the guitar and singing!

Is it really a shame that someone like Shen Can doesn't go into acting?

"Wow, so handsome! Tian Tian, you're looking at handsome guys so early in the morning?"

Suddenly, a soft, sweet voice rang out in the dormitory.

Jing Tian turned around and saw that Kan Qingzi, who had been sleeping in, was already awake.

Jing Tian smiled and rolled her eyes at Kan Qingzi:

"What do you mean by looking at handsome guys? I'm listening to music."

"What's the difference?" Kan Qingzi sat up in bed, stretched lazily, revealing her graceful figure.

She paused for a moment and then said, "Be careful not to watch too much and get a sore throat; you won't be able to sleep at night."

Girls' dormitories can be quite dirty sometimes.

Jing Tian took a deep breath.

What do you mean by "getting a sore throat"? You make it sound like she's a pervert.

"I'm ignoring you." Jing Tian's gaze returned to the computer screen.

At the same time, another roommate, Lu Shan, came out of the bathroom.

"What are you talking about?"

"Here." Kan Qingzi gestured towards Jing Tian with her lips.

In a corner of the dormitory, Shuangzi took off her headphones, glanced at Jing Tian, gave a cold smile, and said nothing.

From the moment Jing Tian entered the school, she received a lot of attention because of her beauty and good temperament, while she herself received much less attention.

Jing Tian has connections; she started her career in the entertainment industry before even enrolling in school. As for her, she has to fight tooth and nail for a chance to get a role and debut smoothly…

At this moment.

Shuangzi's thoughts were: "Just listen, the more you listen, the more you'll feel the gap. So what if they can get Zhang Yadong? He's obviously just trying to scam money from suckers like you; he won't really put his heart into writing songs. Shen Can is different; Shen Can makes a living entirely through his talent."

The next second, Shuangzi saw a change in Jing Tian's expression.

His initial calm turned into surprise, his expression changed very clearly, and he even showed a hint of shock.

"They seem to be amazed?"

Shuangzi quickly put on her headphones, clicked the play button on the page, and started listening to music.

Immediately afterwards, Shuangzi's eyes widened and her mouth slightly open, she was shocked.

The song starts with a bunch of GG lyrics?!

A deep sense of confusion lingered in her eyes.

Is this reasonable?
