Huayu: Were you ever a top star before writing nonsense?

Another busy day has come to an end.

The next day, early in the morning.

Shen Can continued with his daily routine: morning run, breakfast, classes...

Meanwhile, in the north of China, in the capital city...

Wan Qian, a 00 graduate of the Performance Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy, woke up in a large bed.

Today is another day without any filming.

Since refusing to accept unspoken rules and the flop of her album "Universal Gravitation," her resources have been getting worse and worse.

But she never considered compromising.

She sat up in bed, and then, wearing a silk nightgown, she tidied her messy hair as she walked towards the bathroom.

The silk nightgown clung to her body and felt soft against her skin. As she moved, the perfect curves of her hips were revealed, her two buttocks swaying back and forth...

Upturned and rounded.

"Acting is my profession, but dignity is my bottom line."

This stubborn, fiery girl from Hunan Province looked at herself in the mirror and murmured to herself.

She knew exactly what those men wanted, and she also understood that once she compromised and accepted the unspoken rules, she would fall into an abyss from which she could never recover.

Perhaps she will have a bright future and become a top star, but there will always be a thorn in her heart, and that thorn will not disappear until the end of her life.

She's still young; she can wait.

She believes that even without relying on her body, she can make a name for herself in the entertainment industry through her own abilities, no matter how slim the chances are.

After washing up, Wan Qian sat down in front of the computer.

Recently, she has been paying close attention to a junior from elementary school.

The reason is simple: besides being good-looking, he is also a rare singer-songwriter in the Chinese entertainment industry.

A singer-songwriter is a singer in the pop music scene who can independently create lyrics and music, possesses certain singing abilities, and can participate in music production, primarily performing their own original works.

Simply put, a singer-songwriter is a combination of singer and lyricist/composer.

They can be said to be the most "hardcore" presence in the music scene.

The lyrics and music are all written by themselves, and they are also the singers. Therefore, they are able to be self-reliant and create hit songs on their own.

But it's different for singers who can't create their own music. They can only wait for others to create for them, and if they don't encounter excellent songwriters, they will be buried in obscurity.

Therefore, singers are easy to find, but singer-songwriters are scarce.

There are even fewer top-tier singer-songwriters.

There are only about ten musicians in the Chinese music scene who can truly be called top singer-songwriters.

For example, Jonathan Lee, Wang Lihong, Jay Chou, Lin Junjie, etc.

Of course, this doesn't mean that singer-songwriters necessarily have excellent singing skills.

However, there is something called omnipotence.

A good performance by the singer is certainly a plus, but if the singer also wrote the song themselves, that's an even bigger plus.

"Shen Can!" Wan Qian whispered the name of her junior schoolmate.

This junior has the potential to become a top singer-songwriter. Given time, he may very well compete with giants like Jay Chou and JJ Lin in the music scene.

And he's not even twenty years old!

This is a very shocking thing.

Wan Qian thought to herself as she moved the mouse to open QQ Music.

Although she had great confidence in her junior, believing that his two songs were of high quality and unique, and would definitely become hits, the market's feedback was the most authentic indicator.

Everything must be based on data.

"My junior's song is on the charts!"

"His song became a hit!"

Wan Qian was breathing heavily, her eyes fixed on the computer screen, where "Rice Fragrance" and "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" had both entered QQ Music's new song chart.

It's important to know that QQ Music's New Song Chart is defined as the top 100 new songs in terms of popularity on the platform.

In other words, Shen Can's new song went viral in just one day.

Furthermore, both songs ranked quite high on the charts.

"Rice Fragrance" ranked 9th.

"The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" ranked 10th.

The two songs are ranked so close that it's as if they're best buddies teaming up to climb the ranks.

"He created a miracle!"

She had high hopes for Shen Can, but she never expected that her junior would reach such a high level of skill that was difficult for ordinary people to attain.

After her initial excitement, Wan Qian became dejected.

She was just an "ordinary person," and her album "Gravity" sold poorly, with fewer than 30,000 copies sold.

Shen Can, however, reached his peak right from his debut.

However, she wasn't jealous; she was just envious.

At the same time, a thought lingered in her mind: "Is it possible that it's not that I'm incapable, but rather that the songs on my album are of poor quality?"

Judging from market feedback, none of the songs on her album made it onto QQ Music's new song chart.

Although her album was produced by musicians from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Taiwan, and cost millions of dollars... in terms of song quality, it may not be as good as Shen Can's songs.

Of course, she is very confident in her singing skills.

Wan Qian switched computer pages and logged into her Sina blog, "Universal Gravitation".

Yesterday, after Shen Can's new song was released, she posted a blog post to help promote Shen Can.

At this moment, there are already more than a hundred fan comments on the blog.

Many people in the comments section asked her what her relationship with Shen Can was.

"Honey, who is he? He's not your boyfriend, is he?"

"The hatred of having one's wife stolen is irreconcilable."

"Be careful of Shen Can. I checked, and he's a womanizer. He's ruined Gao Yuanyuan and Tianxian's mother. Maybe Tianxian won't escape his clutches either. He's a beast!"

Wan Qian: "..."

You guys are getting too into character.

"Could you ask Shen Can to write a few songs for you? His songs are great."

"Hey beautiful guild leader, forget about Shen Can, log in now and take us to Karazhan."

The last comment was clearly from a member of Wan Qian's World of Warcraft guild.

She was speechless and quickly typed a reply:

"Have you even graduated from Karazhan? You think you can just raid Karazhan?!"

After replying, Wan Qian sat down in the chair, leaning back slightly and pressing her back against the chair back.

Thinking to himself, "I need to find an opportunity to get close to Shen Can... Hmm? Does he play World of Warcraft? If he does, that would be easy."

Guild leader, isn't it easy to carry a newbie?

……

"Junior brother, you made the list!"

Xu Xinran's shouting came from the other end of the phone, and Shen Can quickly moved the phone away from his ear.

It was clear that Xu Xinran was very excited.

Shen Can could understand her emotions, but at this moment he only wanted Xu Xinran to become a mute bride.

"Senior, I have to go to class now, let's talk later."

"Hey, listen to me..."

Before Xu Xinran could finish speaking, Shen Can had already hung up the phone.

He walked into the classroom, and the students cast eager glances at him, making the classroom lively until the teacher, Xu Ning, entered, at which point everyone quieted down.

Xu Ning stood on the podium, looked at Shen Can across the stage, and said with a smile:

"Well done."

Shen Can's new song's success made him proud, and just now in the office, he kept complaining to the other teachers:

"Sigh, look at my apprentice and my daughter, how can they be so disrespectful? These are all seniors in the music industry, how can they easily surpass them? It's so rude. I've taught them that one must be polite."

Xu Ning still misses the disdainful looks his teachers gave him.

But it's okay, it's awesome.
