Elegy from Another World

Chapter 59 The Tragedy of Blood Relatives

"Aslo..." Tia gritted her teeth at the name, her eyes burning with uncontrollable rage and hatred. I patted her shoulder and said in a deep voice, "I promised to help you. Now he's delivered himself to your doorstep. It's time to settle this score."

We immediately asked Yisen for Aslo's exact location. Yisen's expression was grave: "Aslo is extremely secretive. According to my last intelligence, he has been hiding deep within his family mansion in Valencia for three months now, and no one knows what he's doing inside." He provided a detailed map of the mansion.

"In Valencia? Perfect, let's settle both old and new scores at once." I made up my mind. "We'll set off tonight and eliminate this threat as soon as possible."

Only Tia and I participated in the operation. The target was located in the heart of Valencia, and being too conspicuous would easily alert the enemy. We prepared a disguised magical vehicle, its exterior carefully modified to resemble an ordinary noble carriage. The "horses" pulling the vehicle were mechanical constructs provided by Yisen, equipped with mimicry shells, quiet and with great endurance. The vehicle carried four magical firearms and two cloaks imbued with advanced invisibility magic.

As night fell, we quietly set off. The carriage sped through the darkness, taking a whole day to reach the outskirts of Valencia. To avoid drawing attention during the day, we had to wait in a secluded spot outside the city, while Tia took the opportunity to catch up on sleep and recharge.

Late at night, using invisibility cloaks, we infiltrated the heavily guarded city of Valencia like ghosts, silently arriving at Aslo's mansion. High walls surrounded the compound, and a considerable number of guards patrolled the area.

"Killing the guards directly would be too wasteful of energy, too risky, and could even harm innocent bystanders," I whispered. "Let's sneak in and find Aslo first."

Tia nodded in agreement. Using our stealth and agility, we skillfully evaded several patrolling guards and infiltrated the main building of the mansion. However, after searching the study, bedroom, drawing room, and every other possible place, we could not find Aslo.

"There's another place," Tia said in a low voice, her eyes filled with complex emotions, "the family has a secret escape route that very few people know about, the entrance is in the underground wine cellar."

We sneaked into the cold, damp wine cellar and found the hidden entrance. Tia warned, "There are definitely traps in the secret passage. Let me disarm them."

I nodded, letting her go first. Tia carefully probed the area, taking nearly ten minutes before signaling that a tripwire mechanism had been deactivated. "Alright, it should be safe now."

I followed her into the secret passage, but after only a few steps, my footing suddenly gave way! A well-camouflaged trapdoor opened instantly, and I plunged into the deep pit below! At the bottom of the pit, countless sharp iron spikes gleamed coldly!

"Pfft—!"

Despite the protection of immortality, the feeling of being pierced by countless iron spikes was still... well, it transformed into an extremely intense, twisted pleasure that assaulted my senses. I was pinned to the bottom of the pit like a hedgehog, my blood quickly staining the ground red.

"Lady Liscia!" Tia exclaimed from above, her voice filled with regret and panic, "I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! I was so careless!"

"It's okay... get me up there first..." I gritted my teeth, feeling my body writhing in pleasure as it tried to heal, but it was stuck by the iron spikes, and the progress was slow.

Tia quickly lowered the rope and struggled to pull me up. Looking at my body, riddled with puncture wounds, she almost cried.

"Don't panic, help me pull these iron spikes out." I tried to keep my voice calm. Tia's hands trembled as she pulled out the iron spikes that were deeply embedded in my body, one by one. With each spike pulled out, a spurt of blood came out, and the little red flowers on my body bloomed even more alluringly. Waves of pleasure washed over me.

After removing the iron spikes, Tia immediately cast a healing spell. However, when the magical light fell on me, the effect was unexpectedly good! The wound healed several times faster than usual!

"Huh? The magical effects here..." I keenly sensed the anomaly and tried to conjure a simple water sphere. The water sphere not only formed instantly, but its size and stability far exceeded usual! "The magical elements here are unusually active; the magic power has been greatly amplified!"

This is definitely not normal. Why would an escape tunnel have such a powerful magical field?

"Something's not right here. Stay close to me, I'll scout ahead." I gestured for Tia to step back, then focused my perception magic and cautiously began to explore. Tia nodded quickly and followed closely behind me.

The deeper you go, the stronger the magical amplification becomes, and the air seems to thicken. Moreover, the passage is not horizontal, but slopes downwards, as if leading to the depths of the earth.

"Tia, are you sure this is just an escape tunnel? The depth and the magical environment..."

"I...I don't know. The family records only say it's a secret passage." Tia was also confused.

We had no choice but to continue deeper. Finally, a heavy iron door appeared at the end of the passage. I silently cut a hole in the door with my enhanced water blade, and crawled inside to find a second, even more sturdy door. After cutting it open in the same way, the sight behind it made us gasp!

Behind the door lay an unimaginably vast underground space, larger than the entire mansion! A huge, intricate dark red magic circle was carved into the ground, emanating an ominous aura. Around the magic circle stood dozens of figures dressed in black robes, their faces obscured. They seemed to be performing some kind of ritual, their gazes fixed on a figure in the center of the circle, oblivious to us two uninvited guests and the small hole in the door.

Using our invisibility, we approached silently. There, bound to the iron frame in the center of the magic circle, was a man, battered and dying! His clothes were tattered, and his body was covered in a mix of old and new wounds, suggesting he had suffered inhuman torture.

Just then, Tia, who was next to me, suddenly stiffened and let out a suppressed sob filled with extreme shock and pain!

"What's wrong?!" I asked hurriedly.

Tia didn't answer; her gaze was fixed on the person on the metal frame, and tears welled up instantly. She ripped off her invisibility cloak and rushed towards him without hesitation!

"Tina! Is that you? Tina!" She rushed to the metal frame, her trembling hands touching the scarred, almost unrecognizable face.

We've been exposed! I immediately took action, my powerful water magic transforming into countless resilient streams of water that instantly coiled around the mouths, noses, and limbs of all the black-robed figures around me, rendering them unable to shout or move.

At that moment, the person on the metal frame, barely alive, seemed to be awakened by Tia's voice. He struggled to lift his head, his blurred vision focusing on Tia's face. His chapped lips moved, uttering a weak, almost inaudible sound: "Sister... Sister...?"

Upon hearing the call, Tia was struck dumb. She staggered back several steps, collapsing to the ground, and then let out a chilling laugh filled with endless bitterness, desolation, and madness: "Haha...hahaha...Aslo...you're so cruel...you're so cruel!!"

I stood to the side, my heart heavy. It seemed that Tia's sister Tina, whom she thought was dead, was not only still alive, but also imprisoned here by her own uncle Aslo, suffering unimaginable torture. This blow was enough to destroy anyone's sanity.

I immediately rushed forward, attempting to stabilize Tina's injuries with healing magic. However, at that moment, without warning, intense flames erupted from Tina's body, who was slumped on the ground! The flames weren't red, but a dark, desperate black filled with rage!

"boom--!"

Flames exploded violently from Tia's center, instantly engulfing the black-robed figures bound by water chains around her! Before they could even scream, they were reduced to ashes in the terrifying flames!

"Tia! Calm down!" I tried to get closer, but the flames were filled with destructive power, and even I felt incredibly heavy.

Tia raised her head, her eyes completely filled with the dark firelight. She looked at her sister's tragic state, then at the ashes of her enemy's minions, and madness and sorrow intertwined on her face.

I took a deep breath, focusing my magic into my voice, pouring it into her mind like a clear spring: [Tia! Look at me! Tina is alive! She needs you! If you lose control now, who can save her?!]

My voice was like a thunderclap, exploding in Tia's chaotic mind. The flames around her abruptly stopped, the madness in her eyes receded slightly, replaced by immense grief and a sliver of clarity. She looked at her sister, who was barely breathing on the iron frame, and tears streamed down her face once more.

I seized the opportunity to step forward and envelop her in even stronger water magic, helping her calm her rampaging magic. "Get out of here first! Healing Tina is the priority!"

Tia nodded with difficulty, struggled to her feet, and together with me carefully untied the restraints, then held the barely alive Tina in her arms.

We quickly retraced our steps. As we left the underground space, Tia glanced back at the massive magic circle and the ashes scattered on the ground, a resolute glint in her eyes. She raised her hand, and the dark flames reignited, but instead of erupting, they spread rapidly throughout the underground space like flowing lava, burning upwards along the passageway!

She will use fire to completely purify this mansion filled with pain and sin, along with all the accomplices that may exist within!

With Tina by our side, we escaped Valencia under the cover of night and in the chaos, embarking on our journey back to Utopia.
