Deep Sea Starship Apocalypse

Chapter 10 Half a Celestial Corpse Becomes a Demon, Heaven Sacrifices Itself for the World

The world was deathly silent, and all sounds slumbered.

The ruined city had long been swallowed by boundless darkness, even the faint leaden light of yesterday had been completely extinguished. The sky had transformed into a solidified piece of black jade, heavily pressing down on the land of Kyushu, so low it seemed about to collapse, crushing everything in the world into dust. There was no wind, no light, no trace of life. Even time seemed to be gripped tightly by an invisible hand, stagnant, decaying, and rotting, turning into viscous black water that slowly flowed across this land that had long since become a purgatory. As far as the eye could see, not even a trace of struggle remained. Everything seemed to have been sentenced to death in advance. Even fear was forcibly suppressed deep within the soul by the viscous silence, leaving only boundless, suffocating absolute despair.

The air was no longer air; it was a thick mixture of blood and filth, almost tangible.

It was the blood of billions of living beings, the resentment of countless vengeful spirits, and the filthy poison of the endless abyss, intertwined, sedimented, and fermented for thousands of years, condensing into a dense fog of death. Heavy, sticky, and foul-smelling, it was like scalding blood plasma, or rotting corpse mud. Every strand was wrapped in bone-chilling malice and despair, frantically drilling into the body through the mouth, nose, and pores, instantly blocking the throat, freezing the blood vessels, and corroding the soul, making even breathing a form of slow torture. The bloody aura was so thick it couldn't be dissolved; it wasn't bright red, but a dark crimson, almost black, like congealed, aged bloodstains, spreading across the land, turning the world into a blood-red inferno. Everything within sight was shrouded in a pale, bloody light; even bricks, withered bones, and broken wood gleamed with an eerie dark red, as if soaked in blood for eternity. Taking a single breath, the soul felt as if it were being simultaneously gripped by countless vengeful spirits, even thought became sluggish, leaving only a sinking sense of powerlessness and despair.

In the deepest part of this desolate sea of blood, deep within the earth's core amidst countless mountains and valleys, an aura of extreme terror is slowly awakening, expanding, and erupting.

That is half a piece of celestial remains, vast and boundless.

He was no longer the strong yet still constrained body of yesterday. Now, he sat cross-legged in the center of a blood pool formed from piled-up corpses. The blood pool was boundless, and what churned in its waters was not water, but the true blood of living beings—humans, demons, star beasts, and even the remains of ancient gods. Thick as paste, its color was dark reddish-black, and its surface constantly swelled and burst, releasing blood bubbles filled with resentment and venom, making popping sounds. Each bursting bubble released wisps of black vengeful spirits and dark green abyssal poison, weaving together into a filthy cloud that blotted out the sky above the blood pool. The temperature in the center of the blood pool was terrifyingly high, but there was no warmth whatsoever, only a bone-chilling cold and stench. In every drop of blood, countless unwilling remnants of souls slept, their struggles appearing weak and feeble.

At the bottom of the blood pool, corpses piled up like mountains. Layer upon layer, densely packed, from mortal bones to sacred remains, from complete skeletons to shattered bone fragments, boundless and endless. These corpses had long been blackened and rotten from being soaked in blood, their surfaces crawling with blood-red maggots and black fungi, every inch exuding endless death and sin. Between the bones lay broken weapons, tattered clothes, and fragments of star cores that had long lost their luster, all telling the story of an extremely brutal massacre. And at the very center of the corpses, beneath Cang Yuanmi, lay a half-heavenly skeleton stretching for thousands of miles—the remains of an ancient supreme deity, slain, only half remaining, its bones dark gold, now stained inky black by Cang Yuanmi's evil energy, its surface covered with cracks, each crack flowing with a mixture of gold and black pus, radiating a pressure that made the heavens and earth tremble. Above the celestial remains, the seal of the Heavenly Dao still remains, now blurred and indistinct from being corroded by filthy blood, like the last dignity of heaven and earth being brutally trampled.

Cangyuanmi sat cross-legged here.

His body was no longer human, towering a thousand feet tall, covered entirely in dark, bony scales. The edges of the scales were covered with barbs, each etched with twisted, lifelike, malevolent patterns, flowing with an intense, impenetrable blood-red light. His head was half-human, half-skeleton. The left half was a rotting human face, its flesh peeled away to reveal a dark skull. There were no eyeballs in its sockets, only two flickering, blood-red and inky-black evil flames. The right half was a complete skeleton, with high cheekbones, bared teeth, and two pairs of sharp bone fangs dripping with dark green corrosive venom. When the venom dripped into the blood pool, it stirred up a mournful shriek from a vengeful spirit. His long hair was not hair, but was formed from countless tiny, wriggling vengeful spirits. It was dark gray and danced in the wind (the wind of the vengeful spirits' lamentations). Every strand of hair emitted a mournful, faint wail that pierced the soul, causing one's soul to ache and one's mind to waver, wishing one could immediately destroy one's own soul to seek liberation.

His arms were as thick as pillars of heaven. In his left hand, he held a bone staff forged from the bones and blood of countless corpses. At the head of the staff was a blood-red bone bead the size of a human head, within which were sealed countless vengeful spirits. These spirits struggled, roared, and pounded against the bead's walls, emitting a maddening sound. Each impact felt like a blow to the very souls of all living beings. His right hand rested on the half-formed celestial skeleton beneath him, a huge bloody gash splitting open in his palm. He frantically devoured the divinity and blood power within the skeleton, while simultaneously pouring his own Cangyuan evil energy into it. The two fused together, producing a sizzling, corrosive sound. Black smoke and blood mist billowed up, distorting and corroding the surrounding space.

And at this moment, he is breaking through.

Break through that ancient and timeless barrier that even the Heavenly Dao fears—the peak of the Heavenly Realm.

"boom--!!!"

The first loud noise did not come from heaven and earth, but from within his body.

That was the sound of the shattering of the barriers of existence, and even more so, the lament of countless souls being scattered and destroyed.

With this deafening roar that shook the nine netherworlds, Cang Yuanmi's blood energy surged a thousandfold!

The thick, crimson fog that had previously blanketed the land instantly transformed into a monstrous surge of blood, erupting from the earth's core, shattering mountains, breaking through strata, and overcoming all obstacles, shooting straight into the heavens like a volcanic eruption! Crimson magma, crimson resentment, and crimson abyssal power intertwined to form a blood pillar that pierced the heavens and earth, stretching for tens of thousands of miles, directly striking the solidified, inky sky, instantly tearing a massive blood hole in the dark firmament! Wherever the blood pillar passed, space shattered inch by inch, even the turbulent void was stained dark red by the blood energy, and the laws of heaven and earth seemed to be forcibly torn apart, revealing the boundless darkness and desolation behind it.

The moment the pillar of blood shot into the sky, the world changed color, and countless souls wept in anguish.

A million vengeful spirits appeared at this moment!

They are not blurry phantoms, but tormented souls, crystal clear to the extreme.

There were children, their eyes vacant, blood trickling from their mouths, crying out "Mother!" in weak yet desperate voices, their tiny souls shattered and broken, as if about to dissipate at any moment; there were teenagers, their bodies mutilated, flesh torn and twisted, their eyes filled with the terror and resentment of being slaughtered, frantically tearing at their own souls, emitting inhuman screams, fragments of their souls flying everywhere, yet forcibly reassembled, repeatedly enduring the agony of being slowly sliced apart; there were middle-aged men, covered in blood, their bones shattered, their eyes burning with the flames of revenge, yet they could only weakly hiss... A hoarse, broken roar, too weak even to lift a hand; an old man with white hair, his soul hunched over, tears streaming down his face, kept chanting "Injustice!" His cries were piercing and heart-wrenching, his tears falling into the void and turning into blood-red ice crystals, which were instantly melted by the blood energy; there were also countless souls of demonic beasts and star beasts, their souls twisted and rotting, black blood flowing from their eye sockets, emitting painful roars and wails, their voices filled with deep hatred for Cang Yuanmi and despair at being unable to resist, unable even to perish together with him.

These vengeful spirits, dense and boundless, surged forth madly from pillars of blood, pools of blood, and every crack in the earth, covering the sky, obscuring the land, and filling every inch of space. Their cries were no longer scattered, but a chorus of millions of vengeful spirits, their voices converging into a deafening, maddening wail that shook heaven and earth!

The cries were filled with extreme pain, extreme resentment, extreme despair, and extreme madness.

Some vengeful spirits, while weeping, suddenly burst into maniacal laughter, their laughter shrill and piercing. They would laugh and then break down in tears again, their wailing and maniacal laughter intertwined, sending chills down the spine, shaking the soul, and driving one insane, making even upholding one's principles a luxury. Other vengeful spirits tore at their own souls, ripping them to pieces, only to reassemble them under the force of their resentment, repeatedly enduring the excruciating pain of slow slicing, emitting endless screams, a continuous chorus of cries like the cruelest punishment in the world. Some vengeful spirits pounced on their kind, biting, devouring, twisting, and entangled, transforming into blurry, painful wisps of soul mist, emitting desperate whimpers, where even death became a luxury. Still others stared directly at Cang Yuanmi, their eyes burning with an all-consuming hatred, yet they could only helplessly pound the air, uttering hoarse curses, their voices broken and fragmented, yet each word dripping with blood, filled with endless resentment.

The wails and madness of a million vengeful souls transformed into a sonic wave of death, sweeping across the heavens and earth.

This sound, devoid of any physical force, could directly tear apart the soul, corrode the mind, and plunge one into endless pain and madness. Even Yu Moyan and Jiang Duyue, far away in a corner of the ruined city, were instantly struck by this sound wave. Both of them knelt down, clutching their heads, blood seeping from their seven orifices, their souls wracked with excruciating pain. Images of countless vengeful spirits dying tragically flashed before their eyes, and their ears were filled with mournful cries and curses. Their minds almost collapsed instantly, their bodies trembling violently. They couldn't even circulate their star power to resist, and could only struggle in extreme pain and despair, feeling the suffocation and madness from the depths of their souls. Even fainting became an unattainable release.

The desolation and annihilation of heaven and earth were pushed to their extreme at this moment.

All life, all warmth, all hope were utterly devoured, obliterated, and reduced to nothingness by the overwhelming bloodlust and millions of vengeful spirits. The earth was already dead, leaving only rotting bones and viscous blood; the sky was already dead, leaving only blood-red fog and maddened vengeful spirits; time was already dead, leaving only eternal pain and despair; even space itself was decaying, rotting, and crumbling, with dark, abyssal, and malevolent spatial rifts spreading between heaven and earth, from which extinguishing winds blew, crushing, corroding, and reducing all life to nothingness. The last vestiges of life in this desolate land were as faint as a candle in the wind, ready to be extinguished at any moment.

There was no light, no heat, no sound (except for the wails of vengeful spirits), and no living creatures.

There is only decay, only desolation, only annihilation, only endless evil and despair.

The entire world seemed to have transformed into a vast, boundless graveyard, a purgatory filled with sin and death. Order had completely collapsed, laws had been utterly distorted, and everything in the world was madly plummeting towards death, decay, and annihilation, without end, without hope, only eternal depravity. Even the word "resistance" had become an absurd, laughable, and unattainable term.

And all of this is just the beginning.

When the shackles within Cang Yuanmi's body were completely shattered, and when his aura truly touched the peak of the Xiaoyou Realm—

Heaven itself wept.

It was not wind, not thunder, not any ordinary divine might, but a true, heavenly lament.

Above the sky, from the dark cloud hole pierced by the pillar of blood, blood-red tears slowly seeped out.

It is not rain, nor blood, but the blood and tears of Heaven.

The tears of blood were dark gold, yet mixed with a rich crimson hue, viscous, heavy, and filled with endless sorrow, anger, and helplessness. One drop, two drops, millions of drops, billions of drops… pouring down madly from the heavens above, from the eyes of the Heavenly Dao, from the cracks in the rules of heaven and earth!

Blood and tears filled the sky, like a torrential downpour of blood, sprinkling across the entire land!

Each drop of blood and tears weighed a ton, crashing onto the earth with deafening "thump, thump, thump," like a death knell for heaven and earth. Each toll shook the earth violently, intensified the wails of vengeful spirits, and caused space itself to crumble. The blood and tears struck corpses, instantly melting them; they struck blood-soaked mud, causing it to boil and churn; they struck space itself, creating deeper, dark fissures; they struck vengeful spirits, eliciting even more agonizing screams. Their souls were scorched by the blood and tears, emitting a sizzling sound, yet unable to dissipate, forever struggling in agony. Even the Heavenly Dao itself lamented its powerlessness; it could not even unleash a complete heavenly punishment, only weeping with blood and tears, watching the world march step by step towards destruction.

Heaven is weeping, weeping for the endless tragic deaths of living beings in this world, weeping for the corruption of heaven and earth by evil, weeping for the collapse of order and the distortion of laws, and weeping even more for its own powerlessness to stop Cang Yuanmi from defying heaven.

Those tears of blood were filled with the sorrow, anger, despair, and powerlessness of Heaven.

It was once the master of heaven and earth, the order of all things, and the supreme power of heaven. But now, faced with Cang Yuanmi's extreme evil—a sin against heaven, devouring countless souls, blaspheming the gods, and destroying order—it was powerless to punish him. It could only shed tears of blood and watch helplessly as this demon broke through to its peak, becoming even more powerful, more terrifying, and more unstoppable.

The divine punishment descended, but it was not a tribulation of lightning, nor the might of heaven, but rather the lamentation and tears of the Heavenly Dao itself.

What an irony, and what despair!

Even the lofty Heavenly Dao weeps for the sins of this world, trembles at this defying existence, and grieves for the impending apocalypse. The last reliance of all things in the world has long since collapsed; even the gods have bowed their heads. Where can mortals and beasts escape to?

But Cang Yuanmi, amidst the blood and tears of the Heavenly Dao and the wailing of countless souls, slowly opened his only, half-rotten eye socket.

The evil fire, a mixture of blood and ink, suddenly surged within his eye sockets!

"Oh……"

A low, hoarse laugh, filled with endless malice and contempt, slowly escaped from his mouth.

The laughter, though not loud, instantly drowned out the wails of millions of vengeful souls, the sound of the falling blood and tears of the heavens, and the deafening roar of the earth and sky collapsing. It spread throughout the four corners of the world, reaching the ears of every living being (even those on the verge of death), and was etched into the deepest part of every soul.

There was no emotion in that laughter, only extreme indifference, extreme contempt, extreme evil, and extreme defiance of the heavens.

He laughed at the incompetence and weakness of the Heavenly Dao, at the Heavenly Dao's inability to shed useless tears of blood; he laughed at the pitifulness of the myriad souls, at the despair of the vengeful spirits, at their inability to cry, struggle, and go mad beneath his feet; he laughed at the decay of heaven and earth, at the collapse of order, at everything in this world that would be trampled under his feet, would be turned into decay, into annihilation, into nourishment for his breakthrough.

"The Way of Heaven?"

Cang Yuanmi slowly opened his mouth. His voice was no longer the roar of yesterday, but a deep, hoarse one, yet it carried a domineering and evil air of controlling everything, defying fate, and being the only one who was supreme. Every word shook the heavens and earth, caused blood and tears to flow backward, and silenced the vengeful spirits (though they were still twisting in pain).

"You cry too?"

"You feel pain too?"

"You would shed such laughable tears of blood for these lowly ants?"

He slowly raised his head, his half-rotten eye socket staring straight at the sky, at the Heavenly Dao that was constantly pouring out blood and tears. The evil fire in his eyes burned more and more violently, filled with contempt for the Heavenly Dao, trampling on the might of Heaven, and rebellion against all rules.

"In the past, you suppressed me with the might of heaven, bound me with the laws, and slayed me with divine punishment, sealing me within this half of the celestial remains, forcing me to endure the eternal agony of soul-devouring, and making me devour countless souls to eke out a living..."

"Today, I will use the blood of ten thousand souls as my foundation, this half-section of celestial remains as my guide, and the blood and tears of your Heavenly Dao as my sacrifice, to break your shackles, defy your destiny, trample your heavenly might, and reach the pinnacle of my Celestial Realm!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Cang Yuanmi suddenly stood up!

The evil body, towering a thousand feet tall, slowly rose from the boundless pool of blood and the mountain of corpses!

"boom--!!!"

The heavens and earth trembled violently once more, a thousand times more terrifying than any previous time!

The pool of corpses and blood beneath his feet instantly boiled wildly under the force of his aura. Billions of bones turned to dust under his pressure, merging into the pool and transforming into even purer blood energy, which he devoured with madness. His blood energy surged once more, a crimson pillar of light piercing the heavens and earth, dyeing the entire sky a dark red. Even the tears of blood poured down by the Heavenly Dao were enveloped, polluted, and assimilated by this blood energy!

Behind him, the void suddenly split open, revealing a colossal, dark rift spanning billions of miles. Within this rift emerged a boundless, desolate world of annihilation and decay—his primordial world, the land of countless souls' demise, the breeding ground of evil, and an eternal realm of annihilation. The aura of the Abyss surged forth wildly, mingling with the blood, vengeful spirits, tears of blood, and malevolent energy of the world, dragging the entire universe into its decay and annihilation. Irreversible disintegration began to appear at the edges of the world, like a torn scroll revealing the eternal darkness behind it.

The millions of vengeful spirits, the moment he rose, simultaneously let out the most mournful, desperate, and insane howls!

They seemed to feel ultimate fear, eternal damnation, and the agony of being annihilated yet forever unable to escape. They struggled, screamed, laughed, wept, tore, and devoured each other madly, turning the entire world into an ocean of vengeful spirits, an ocean of pain, and an ocean of madness.

The blood and tears of Heaven poured out even more violently!

Dark golden blood rained down, crashing onto the earth. A mournful cry of the heavens echoed throughout the world. The sound was filled with unbearable grief and rage, yet also with endless powerlessness and despair. It intertwined with the wails of millions of vengeful souls, transforming into the most tragic, terrifying, and desperate lament in the world, heralding the end of the world.

And Cang Yuanmi stood at the center of this place, where blood and qi surged to the heavens, countless souls wailed, the heavens wept blood, and the world was utterly silent.

His thousand-foot-tall, evil body appeared even more terrifying, malevolent, and defying the heavens under the crimson light of the sky (a light woven from blood and tears). His bony scales flowed with brilliant crimson light, each scale becoming harder, more ferocious, and more filled with sinister power. The evil fire in his eye sockets transformed into two suns, one crimson and one inky, illuminating this blood-red inferno and his face, filled with extreme malice and a defying will. The crimson bone bead at the head of his bone staff shone brightly, within which countless vengeful spirits struggled madly, yet were sealed away, becoming part of his power. The half-heavenly skeleton beneath him emitted a low, painful, and resentful cry, completely devoured and assimilated by him, becoming a stepping stone for his breakthrough and ascent to the peak of the Heavenly Realm.

His aura was rising wildly, surging, and breaking through the limits!

Early stage of the Celestial Realm... Middle stage... Late stage... Peak stage!

The moment when the realm of "peak" is truly solidified—

"boom--!!!"

The final, most terrifying, and heaven-defying anomaly has fully erupted!

The blood-red energy between heaven and earth suddenly contracted and condensed, forming a crimson celestial ring a billion kilometers in size above his head. The ring was etched with twisted patterns of resentment, decaying runes, and traces of annihilation, flowing with an evil power that made even the Heavenly Dao tremble. This billion-kilometer-long blood ring stretched across the sky, firmly locking the entire firmament, completely blocking even the remaining light. Only dark red and pitch black remained between heaven and earth; despair was amplified infinitely, pressing down so heavily that nothing could even breathe.

A million vengeful spirits, drawn by an invisible evil force, flew towards his body, as if ten thousand souls were returning to their rightful place, or as if ten thousand souls were being sacrificed. They howled, struggled, and went mad, yet they could not resist, merging into his body, into his bones and blood, into his soul, becoming a part of his power, becoming the nourishment for his defying the heavens. With each vengeful spirit that merged into him, his aura grew stronger, his sins deepened, and his will to defy the heavens strengthened.

The blood and tears that Heaven poured out were no longer a venting of grief, but were forcibly drawn in, devoured, and refined by him! The dark golden blood and tears flowed wildly into his body, along with his bone staff and his Heavenly Ring. The power of Heaven, the rules of Heaven, the grief and anger of Heaven were all forcibly refined, assimilated, and reversed into his own power by him with the evil power of Cangyuan!

He is devouring the blood and tears of the Heavenly Dao, he is trampling on the dignity of the Heavenly Dao, and he is usurping the authority of the Heavenly Dao!

Space shattered completely, the earth sank completely, order collapsed completely, laws were completely distorted, life was completely extinguished, and desolation and annihilation completely enveloped everything.

The entire world became Cang Yuanmi's domain, a domain of evil, a domain of annihilation, a domain of defying the heavens.

He stands at the center of heaven and earth, above all souls, amidst blood and tears, at the pinnacle of the Heavenly Dao.

He looked down at the world he had stained with blood, dragged into annihilation, and completely controlled, at the remnant souls struggling in agony, at the Heavenly Dao that could not weep and could only be devoured by him. In the evil fire in his eyes, there was no pity, no remorse, only extreme indifference, extreme contempt, extreme evil, and extreme defiance of the heavens.

"From this day forward,"

He spoke slowly, his voice deep, domineering, and filled with an evil will of absolute arrogance, resounding throughout the heavens and earth, reaching every corner, and etched into every soul:

"I, Cang Yuanmi, half-heavenly remains, have reached the peak of the Heavenly Realm!"

"Heaven's will cannot bind me!"

"Heavenly wrath, you cannot punish me!"

"Heaven and earth cannot bury me!"

"Ten thousand souls, be my slaves!"

"All things are for my consumption!"

"This world, this heaven and earth, this vast sky, these myriad realms—"

"All of them are against me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly raised his hand and punched the sky that was pouring out blood and tears!

This punch had no fancy moves, no special techniques, only ultimate power, ultimate evil, ultimate defying the heavens, and ultimate annihilation!

"boom--!!!"

With a single punch, heaven and earth shattered! The firmament cracked! Blood and tears flowed! All souls fell silent!

The crimson celestial ring, spanning a billion kilometers, trembled violently. Hundreds of millions of rays of crimson light burst forth from the ring, merging with the power of the fist. This blasted a massive, pitch-black rift across the heavens and earth, creating a gaping hole in the sky. Within the rift, the power of Cangyuan's annihilation surged forth, completely reversing the flow of the Heavenly Dao's tears of blood and severing its wailing. It blasted a huge hole in the supreme heavens!

The aura of Heaven trembled violently, weakened rapidly, and almost collapsed under this punch!

That lofty and supreme heavenly might was as fragile as paper before Cang Yuanmi, this heaven-defying demon, the peak of the Xiaoyou realm, the master of ten thousand souls, and half of the Heavenly Corpse!

The wails of a million vengeful spirits fell silent instantly under the pressure of that punch!

They were completely suppressed, sealed, and integrated into Cang Yuanmi's body. They were even stripped of the right to cry out and could only become part of his power in eternal pain and darkness, enduring endless torment.

All sounds in the world disappeared.

All that remained was extreme repression, extreme suffocation, extreme desolation, and extreme annihilation.

Only Cang Yuanmi, brimming with bloodlust, sin, and defiance, remained, standing beneath the shattered sky and amidst the desolate world, like an eternal, evil, and heaven-defying demon god, overlooking this world that he had utterly destroyed, utterly corrupted, and utterly dragged into the apocalypse.

In the ruins of the city, Yu Moyan and Jiang Duyue had already collapsed to the ground, covered in blood, their souls shattered, and they didn't even have the strength to lift their heads.

They could only feel an aura that was terrifying, evil, and defying the heavens to the extreme, like billions of mountains pressing down on them, making it impossible for them to even breathe, and making even death a luxury. Despair permeated every part of their bodies, and they could not even muster a thought of resistance. It was as if they were born to grovel at the feet of this demon, waiting to be devoured and obliterated.

They knew—

The real apocalypse has arrived.

This heaven-defying demon has completely become one.

Heaven and earth are devoid of life; all things are devoid of hope; everything will fall into decay, into desolation, into oblivion, into the evil rule of the abyss.

And this is just the beginning.

Under the blood-red sky, Cang Yuanmi slowly withdrew his fist, the evil fire in his eyes flickering slightly. His gaze slowly turned to the ruined city in the distance, to the two tiny creatures struggling in despair.

A smile, tinged with extreme coldness, wickedness, and bloodlust, curled at the corners of his mouth.

The game is about to begin.

The dark cracks in the sky, blasted open by that punch, still gurgled with the aura of annihilation from the abyss. The entire world remained shrouded in an impenetrable, dark crimson aura of blood. Though the wails of a million vengeful souls were forcibly suppressed, faint, mosquito-like sobs lingered in the depths of every inch of space, like an inescapable nightmare, clinging to the soul, suffocating, driving mad, and pushing to the brink of collapse. Each sob was like a fine needle, repeatedly piercing the souls of the surviving beings, causing despair to surge in layers like a never-ending tide.

The dark golden tears of blood pouring down from the Heavenly Dao were violently reversed by Cang Yuanmi's heaven-defying fist, no longer falling aimlessly, but instead coalescing into a vast, boundless, and dazzling cloud of light in the sky. This cloud of light was no longer purely sorrowful; instead, it carried a resolute, heroic, and death-defying will. Blood and tears intertwined within the golden light, sacredness and grief merged, majesty and powerlessness coexisted, and it slowly rotated in the center of the shattered sky, as if making some final choice concerning the survival of heaven and earth. The cloud of light trembled slightly, each tremor accompanied by the intense pain of the Heavenly Dao's very essence; even this final struggle seemed so weak and powerless.

Below, the boundless pool of corpses and blood still boiled and churned, the dark green venom and crimson blood bubbling and churning, emitting a nauseating stench of decay. The earth was utterly rotten and cracked, countless dark fissures crisscrossing like hideous scars on the land, from which a chilling, sinister aura of the Cangyuan constantly surged, eroding the last vestiges of life in the world. Under the terrifying pressure, the broken walls trembled precariously, bricks crumbling and bones rolling. The entire ruined city, and indeed the entire land, trembled under the aura of the peak Cangyuan Mixiao You Realm, like a candle flickering in the wind, ready to collapse completely and turn to ashes at any moment. Even the trembling of the earth was filled with despair, as if it were lamenting its impending destruction.

Cangyuan stood at the center of heaven and earth, his thousand-foot-tall evil body radiating an aura of eternal suppression. Blood flowed across his bone-like scales, and resentful patterns writhed. Two balls of crimson flames burned fiercely in his eye sockets, reflecting the shattered sky and the swirling tears of heavenly blood. He felt the power surging to its limit within him, the perfect fusion of the half-heavenly remains with his own soul, and the heaven-defying power resulting from the sacrifice of ten thousand souls and the refinement of blood and tears. His aura was violent and frenzied, his sin and tyranny soaring to the heavens, pushing the oppression and deathly silence of heaven and earth to a new peak.

He didn't make another move. He simply tilted his head slightly, gazing at the dark golden cloud of light gathering high in the sky. A huge, ferocious grin spread across his lips, and the rotting dough tore open, revealing white, interlocking bone teeth. Dark green venom dripped from between his teeth, splashing into the blood pool below and stirring up waves of boiling blood.

He is waiting.

Waiting for the final struggle of Heaven's Dao, waiting for the final curtain to fall on this supreme rule of Heaven and Earth.

Within that cloud of light, a figure gradually materialized.

That was an avatar of the Heavenly Dao.

Its form wasn't particularly tall, yet it possessed an aura of supreme authority, a power that transcended all things and governed order. Its entire body was formed from dark golden primordial energy, its robes fluttering and shimmering with light, every inch flowing with an inviolable, sacred aura of the Heavenly Dao. But now, this avatar was no longer the supreme being it once was. Its body was covered in countless cracks, like shattered porcelain. Dark golden primordial energy seeped from these cracks, mingling with blood and tears, making it appear both wretched and tragic. Its face was blurred, yet one could clearly sense the deep-seated grief, anger, and helplessness, as well as a resolute determination to die for the protection of all things.

It was the last avatar that the Heavenly Dao forcibly condensed from its own essence as the world crumbled and its rules collapsed. It was the last sacred barrier between heaven and earth, the last hope for all things. It lacked the power to suppress the rebellious demon Cang Yuanmi, the ability to reverse the collapse of order and the decay of all things, and the power to reverse the apocalypse of the world's annihilation and the fall of all spirits. All it could do was sacrifice itself, burning all of its Heavenly Dao essence to leave behind a final blessing, protecting the remaining beings in this world, and preserving a faint glimmer of life for this ravaged world. This glimmer of life was so faint as to be almost negligible, like a firefly in a dark abyss, yet it was the final mercy of heaven and earth.

As Cang Yuanmi watched the slowly forming Heavenly Dao avatar, the dark, evil fire in his eyes flared more and more violently. Finally, he could no longer suppress it and let out a deafening, maniacal laugh that shook the heavens and the earth.

"Ha ha ha ha--!!!"

The laughter was hoarse, violent, evil, and arrogant, filled with extreme contempt and pleasure, like the howling of ten thousand ghosts, like the arrival of a demon lord, instantly breaking through the sorrow and oppression between heaven and earth, spreading throughout the four seas and eight wastelands, and thousands of valleys and mountains.

"Heavenly Dao Avatar! You've finally shown yourself!"

"In the past, you were high above, wielding the laws of heaven, judging all things, regarding me as nothing but grass. You suppressed me with heavenly might, imprisoned me with the laws, confining me within half a celestial skeleton, to suffer the eternal torment of soul-devouring, and to survive by devouring countless souls!"

"And now? Look at this world, the world you protected has long since become a hell! Look at all things, the creatures you sheltered have long since turned to withered bones! Look at yourself, nothing more than a broken and tattered clone, unable to even maintain a complete form, like a stray dog, only able to eke out a living before me!"

"You want to die for the world? You want to leave behind blessings to protect all things? How laughable! Utterly laughable!"

"Before me, all is in vain! I have broken through to the peak of the Heavenly Realm, defying fate and wielding the might of the heavens. Your avatar is nothing but an ant in my eyes, easily destroyed with a flick of my finger! Your blessings will be completely corroded and vanished under my Cangyuan Evil Qi! Your sacrifice is nothing but a laughable farce, only making me happier and bringing the annihilation of this world even more thoroughly!"

His laughter was maniacal and unrestrained, every word filled with trampling of the Heavenly Dao, blasphemy against the sacred, and contempt for all things. With his laughter, the blood energy of heaven and earth grew increasingly violent, the evil abyss surged ceaselessly, and the pool of corpses and blood boiled even more violently, as if cheering on this rebellious demon's revelry. The evil aura surrounding him continued to surge, and a gigantic bone hand slowly rose, aiming at the Heavenly Dao avatar high in the sky. With a single strike, he could shatter this last sacred barrier of heaven and earth, utterly destroying the Heavenly Dao and plunging all things into despair.

The Heavenly Dao Avatar remained silent and made no move to resist. It simply hovered quietly in the sky, gazing down at the maniacally laughing Cang Yuanmi, at this decaying and desolate world, and at the surviving, trembling creatures. The cracks around its body grew larger and larger, and the dark golden primordial power flowed faster and faster, intertwined with blood and tears, a tragic and resolute sight.

It knew it was powerless to reverse the situation, knew it could not contend with Cang Yuanmi, and knew its demise was already inevitable.

But it still did not back down.

The next moment, the Heavenly Dao Avatar trembled slightly, and the dark golden light around it suddenly surged, a sign of burning its origin and the beginning of sacrificing itself for the Dao.

"Buzz—"

A deep and sacred tremor resounded, not like a roar, but reaching the very depths of the soul of all things.

The Heavenly Dao clone shattered with a deafening roar.

There was no earth-shattering roar, no world-destroying impact, only a gentle yet boundless dark golden light that swept out from where the avatar shattered, instantly enveloping the four corners of heaven and earth. That was the entire essence of the Heavenly Dao avatar, everything left behind after it burned itself and perished completely, the final gift that the Heavenly Dao left to the world—Heavenly Dao Golden Blood.

This golden blood was not liquid, but composed of countless fine, sand-like dark golden particles, containing pure primordial energy, life force, purifying power, and blessing power. Each particle was dazzling, sacred, and warm, forming a stark contrast with the blood energy, evil energy, and decaying energy of the world. The golden blood rained down like a sacred yet sorrowful golden rain, slowly drifting down from the shattered sky, covering the ruined city, the mountains, the pool of corpses and blood, and every inch of the decaying earth, staining this blood-red inferno with a gentle yet tragic dark gold. Yet, this golden light, under the boundless blood energy and the ten billion blood rings, appeared so small, so powerless, struggling even to illuminate a small area.

The Heavenly Dao clone died completely and ceased to exist.

The last sacred will in the world has completely dissipated.

At this moment, the supreme Heavenly Dao lost its last protective barrier, its origin severely damaged and on the verge of collapse. It could no longer govern the Heavenly Rules, protect all things, or unleash any divine might.

As the Heavenly Dao avatar perished, a mournful cry that swept across all things in heaven and earth erupted with a deafening roar.

That was not the weeping of one particular creature, but the sorrow of all living beings and the lamentation of all things.

The first to sound were the surviving creatures.

In the cracks of the ruined city, a few small beasts, barely surviving, trembled. Their fur was gone, they were covered in wounds, and they had long been tormented to the brink of death by the blood and evil energy. Now, sensing the aura of the Heavenly Dao's avatar's demise and the golden blood of the Heavenly Dao raining down from the sky, they raised their heads, gazing at the heavens, letting out weak, mournful sobs. Tears streamed from their eyes, mingled with blood, filled with the fear and sorrow of losing their protection. Their small bodies trembled incessantly as they lay prostrate on the ground, slowly bowing their heads towards the direction where the Heavenly Dao's avatar had crumbled, as if bidding farewell to the last deity. They knew that the god was dead, and from now on, there would be no more protection in the world.

In the distant mountains, several ancient trees, not yet completely dead, their trunks long since rotted and hollow, their branches and leaves blackened and withered, trembled gently. The dry leaves rustled, producing a sound like an old man weeping. Thin strands of pale green sap, like tears, seeped from their trunks, slowly sliding down the decaying bark and dripping into the stagnant soil. They sensed the fall of the heavens, felt the sorrow of the world, and even without consciousness, were infected by this mournful will of heaven and earth, emitting a lament belonging to plants. Leaves fell in a rustling sound, as if bidding farewell to heaven and earth.

On the earth, the soil not yet completely eroded undulated slightly, emitting a muffled groan, as if the earth itself were weeping. Countless tiny creatures, earthworms and ants, crawled out of the soil, densely packed together, curled up in clumps on the ground, no longer wriggling, no longer foraging, simply lying there quietly, sensing the sorrow of heaven and earth, mourning silently. Their tiny bodies, faced with overwhelming despair, even struggle seemed futile.

In the sky, the last few remaining clouds, stained a dark gold by the golden blood of the Heavenly Dao, slowly condensed and dissipated, emitting a soft and mournful sound, as if the heavens were weeping. The wind finally reappeared, but no longer a raging, malevolent gale; instead, a gentle breeze carrying endless sorrow, blowing across broken walls and ruins, across pools of withered bones and blood, across all living things. Wherever it passed, it carried away some decay, but brought a deeper sorrow, a mournful wailing, like the sobbing of heaven and earth, continuous and unending. The wind's mournful sound seemed to be guarding the departed avatar of the Heavenly Dao.

The million vengeful spirits suppressed by Cang Yuanmi no longer struggled, went mad, or wailed. Under the shroud of the Heavenly Dao's golden blood, they gradually calmed down. They sensed the sacrifice of the Heavenly Dao's avatar, felt its pure holiness and warmth. Their resentment and pain gradually dissipated, the madness in their eyes faded, leaving only endless sorrow and relief. Countless vengeful spirits bowed slowly towards the direction of the Heavenly Dao's demise, emitting low and mournful sobs—their lamentation, their final respect for the Heavenly Dao's avatar. Purified by the golden blood, they were no longer eternally trapped in their descent, gradually becoming transparent, about to return to the world and be liberated. But this liberation also meant the dissipation of the last wisp of vengeful spirit in the world, and the world became increasingly desolate.

Even those creatures long since reduced to withered bones, those mountains of skeletons, trembled slightly as the golden blood of the Heavenly Dao was sprinkled upon them. A faint, dark golden halo appeared on the white bones, as if responding to the blessings of the Heavenly Dao, as if mourning the departed gods. Countless withered bones collided with each other, emitting a crisp yet sorrowful sound, like ten thousand bones weeping together, echoing throughout heaven and earth, bringing tears to the eyes and a pang of sorrow to the heart.

The rivers, lakes, and seas had long since dried up, leaving only murky, stagnant water and silt. Now, the surface of the still water rippled slightly, emitting a low, mournful sound, like the water weeping. Within the silt, the surviving skeletons of fish and shrimp, shrouded in golden blood, gleamed faintly, as if mourning the fall of heaven and earth, mourning the passing of life. The entire body of water was immersed in endless sorrow, without a single ripple, only a deathly silence of grief.

Every inch of space in the world, every existence, whether it be a sentient being or a soulless piece of earth and stone; whether it be vibrant grass and trees or withered bones; whether it be drifting clouds in the sky or dust on the earth, is shrouded in extreme sorrow at this moment, uttering its own lament.

All spirits weep, all things grieve.

Cries mingled, sobs echoed endlessly—the mournful howls of beasts, the soft weeping of grass and trees, the muffled groans of the earth, the low whimpers of vengeful spirits, the whistling of the wind, the creaking of bones… A myriad of sounds converged, transforming into a sweeping, heart-wrenching lament that engulfed heaven and earth. There were no lyrics, yet every word was a tear of blood, every sound a piercing lament, pushing the sorrow of heaven and earth to its extreme, suffocating all who heard it, tears streaming down their faces, their very souls soaked in this boundless grief, their hearts pierced with pain. Despair and sorrow merged into one, forming a gigantic net that bound all things in heaven and earth, leaving them nowhere to escape.

This world, long since decayed, desolate, and annihilated, at the moment when the Heavenly Dao's avatar perished and golden blood stained the world, was devoid of madness, violence, and struggle; only an overwhelming and boundless sorrow remained.

Sorrow, like a cold tide, submerged the ruined city, the mountains, the pools of corpses and blood, and the very soul of every living being.

All people and all living beings wept for the fall of the Heavenly Dao's avatar, mourned the sorrow of heaven and earth, and grieved for their own despair.

There was only one exception.

Half a celestial skeleton, a vast abyss.

He stood in the center of heaven and earth, amidst the golden blood and endless sorrow, showing no emotion or pity whatsoever. Instead, he became increasingly frenzied, arrogant, and violent.

He watched as the golden blood of the Heavenly Dao rained down, as all living things wept and mourned, as the world was filled with sorrow. The dark, evil fire in his eyes burned fiercely, and the ferocious smile on his lips grew even stronger. Once again, he let out a wild laugh that shook the heavens and the earth and was extremely piercing.

"Ha ha ha ha--!!!"

"Cry! All of you, cry!"

"The Heavenly Dao's avatar is dead! The Heavenly Dao is utterly destroyed! Your last god, your last protector, is gone!"

"Do you see that? This is the Heavenly Way you believe in! This is the Heavenly Might you rely on! In the end, it will nothing more than turn into a pool of golden blood, scattered across the world, unable even to protect itself, let alone protect you lowly ants!"

"Its golden blood can purify evil? Can it bless all things? How laughable! Before my power, this meager blessing is nothing but a drop in the ocean! Before long, I will allow this golden blood to completely corrode, to utterly extinguish this life force, and to transform the sorrow of this world into utter annihilation!"

"Cry! Suffer! Despair! This is just the beginning! From this day forward, I am the master of this world, I am the new Heavenly Way! I will make all things in this world live forever in pain and despair, forever sink into the abyss of decay, forever be buried with my revelry!"

"The Way of Heaven is dead, all spirits weep, from this day forth, I alone reign supreme in Heaven and Earth!"

His laughter was maniacal and unrestrained, shattering the wails of all things, echoing endlessly between heaven and earth, evil and violent, sending chills down one's spine. The blood energy and evil aura around him surged wildly, colliding and corroding with the golden blood of the Heavenly Dao that rained down from the sky. The dark golden holy radiance and the dark crimson evil blood energy intertwined and collided, emitting a sizzling sound. The atmosphere between heaven and earth became increasingly bizarre, with sorrow and madness coexisting, holiness and evil opposing each other, and oppression and violence intertwined. The blood-red celestial ring, spanning a billion kilometers, slowly rotated in the sky. With each rotation, the light of the golden blood dimmed a little, and the despair of heaven and earth deepened a little more.

The golden blood of the Heavenly Dao continued to slowly fall, landing on the earth, on the withered bones, and on the living beings, bringing a faint but pure vitality.

The rotten soil stained with golden blood gradually lost its putrid smell and began to show a faint green hue.

The vengeful spirits purified by the golden blood gradually calmed their resentment and were about to return to the world.

The creatures nourished by the golden blood slowly healed their wounds and their breathing gradually stabilized.

The skeletons, covered in golden blood, gleamed with a sacred light, as if they had found their final rest.

This is the blessing left behind by the Heavenly Dao's avatar with its life; it is the last vitality of heaven and earth, and the last hope of all things.

However, this blessing seemed so weak and vulnerable under the evil power of the peak of the Cangyuan Mixiao Youjing realm, like a firefly in the darkness, which could be extinguished at any moment.

All things are still weeping, heaven and earth are still grieving, the wind is still howling, and bones are still creaking softly.

An endless sorrow enveloped the land, so oppressive it was suffocating, so hopeless it was devastating.

In a corner of the ruined city, Yu Moyan and Jiang Duyue collapsed on the cold ground, covered in blood and riddled with wounds, their souls still trembling violently. They felt the demise of the Heavenly Dao avatar, the blessing of the golden blood filling the sky, and the ultimate sorrow of all things grieving together. Tears streamed uncontrollably from their eyes, dripping into the dust on the ground and mingling with the blood.

They looked up at the shattered sky, at the rain of dark golden light falling from the heavens, at the evil figure laughing maniacally, their hearts filled with endless sorrow, despair, and helplessness.

The Way of Heaven is dead, its golden blood has spread throughout the world, and all spirits grieve.

But that defying demon still stands between heaven and earth, laughing maniacally and looking down on everything.

The sorrow in the world continues.

The shadow of the apocalypse grows ever stronger, threatening to completely devour the last glimmer of light and life remaining in this world.
