Chapter 46 The Bomb Reunion Dinner
Jessica finally felt relieved.
"I'm going to work overtime to edit the video. If you're tired, go to sleep first." Li Qingshan was about to get up and go to the study when Jessica hugged him tightly, looking up at him with teary eyes.
"What's wrong?" Li Qingshan was a little confused. What else could it be?
"I haven't eaten yet," Jessica said softly, pouting.
"What do you want to eat? I'll make it." Li Qingshan patted his forehead, finally remembering something. After getting down to business, Jessica didn't touch a single bite.
"Ramen."
Li Qingshan cooked a bowl of spicy ramen with lots of fillings, and Jessica wanted to take it to the study to eat.
Jessica sat next to Li Qingshan, eating ramen while watching him intently edit videos. Li Qingshan would occasionally turn to look at her.
It took three hours to finish cutting. I sent it to Jia Zhen so he could show it to Lao Jin and cut it again if he didn't like it.
"Come on, look, you're almost asleep. I told you to go to sleep, but you wouldn't listen." After finishing, Li Qingshan turned around and saw Jessica's head nodding. Feeling a little sorry for her, he picked her up.
"You haven't handed in your homework yet." Jessica lightly bit Li Qingshan's arm.
"You're a prisoner of war, why should I hand in my homework?" Li Qingshan said irritably, lowering his head and lightly biting Jessica's nose.
"Meow~ I haven't given up yet," Jessica bleated in protest.
It was late at night, and Li Qingshan wouldn't let Jessica move, so the two of them fell asleep.
Li Qingshan woke up early, while Jessica was still asleep, but her body betrayed her, and Jessica was now fully awake.
"You have to take responsibility!" Jessica whispered to Li Qingshan with her back to him.
Li Qingshan went for his morning exercise, and Jessica, covering her head with the blanket, started bleating.
Li Qingshan got up, ate some bread, and went to his study to call Jia Zhen to discuss the video and what needed to be modified.
Jessica got up, peeked into the study from the doorway, and then went back to her room to take a shower.
She needs to go to the company in the morning for a meeting to check the program schedule for the concert in Macau in February, discuss some details, and see what her schedule is next.
After getting dressed, Jessica came to the study with her bag slung over her shoulder. "Are you going out today?" Li Qingshan shook his head.
"I'm driving that car away." Without waiting for Li Qingshan to say anything, she turned and walked towards the front door. As she passed the living room, she picked up a piece of toast, put it in her mouth, and left.
Jessica drove all the way to SM, and when she parked, she ran into Taeyeon, her forever late best friend.
"You got a new car?" Taeyeon walked around the front of the car, feeling that Jessica shouldn't have bought a black one.
"I left Aoyama oppa's car at home." Jessica walked to Taeyeon's side, and Taeyeon took her hand and the two entered the elevator together.
Lin Yoona waited boredly in the conference room for the meeting to start, glancing at her phone every now and then, but there was no information at all. What goes around comes around.
They really do forget about you once they've put their pants on. She decided that this time she would absolutely not send a message first, never.
In the past few days, whenever she was interviewed by the media, reporters would ask her why she forwarded the video. She replied that she had seen it without knowing why, thought it was amazing, and forwarded it. She didn't know about the other people who did it.
When Yoona heard the laughter coming from outside the meeting room, she knew who had arrived. The old lady's laughter was familiar to everyone on the peninsula.
"Hey, can you please stop being late every time? I've been waiting for half an hour." Hyoyeon pointed at the two late lead singers.
"Traffic jam, traffic jam." Taeyeon and Jessica knew they were in the wrong, so they just smiled and didn't dare to say a word, mainly because they couldn't beat them.
A meeting began, mainly about the concert's schedule. Jessica looked at the schedule and asked a few questions.
The agent didn't care and started working with Jessica.
During the meeting, Yuri looked at Yoona on this side and Jessica on that side. She truly admired Lee Cheong-san, and Han Sung had even confessed to her.
Yuri was puzzled to see the two of them communicating so calmly, but she didn't dare to ask. What if they both beat her up? Li Qingshan might beat her up afterward.
Yuri patted Sunny next to her to show her the two of them. Sunny glanced at them, rolled her eyes, ignored her, and continued looking at her schedule, which mostly consisted of variety shows and commercial appearances.
Yuri is similar to her, except she has more experience in film and television auditions and cameo roles.
"Now you need to start rehearsing, Yuri. Be serious, and don't hurt Sunny anymore."
"You're the main dancer, you're always involved in stage mishaps. Do you want me to show you a compilation of your stage mishaps made by your fans?"
When the manager saw Yuri chatting with Sunny during the meeting, the manager rubbed his temples.
Sunny wrinkled her nose and nodded in agreement when she heard her manager's words.
"Every time I make a mistake, I'm the one who takes the fall. My compilation of mistakes is almost trending on social media," Sunny said, shoving Yuri and pointing her finger at her in reproach.
"Oh, we should all learn from Yuri. She can be so open and honest even when she makes a mistake. I always get it right, but seeing her reaction makes me think I'm the one who's wrong." Sooyoung said sarcastically, raising an eyebrow at Yuri.
Yuri picked up a tissue from the table and threw it at Sooyoung, who retaliated, and the two threw tissues at each other.
Then a chaotic brawl ensued, with both of them seeking help from others. The manager's head was throbbing with bulging veins, and even the most obedient Seohyun joined in.
The agent sighed, "The kids are all grown up now, the team is harder to fool, no, it's harder to manage."
After a few minutes of chaos, Taeyeon saw her manager looking at them with a death wish, so she took the initiative to calm things down.
"We're recording Golden Fishery in a few days. Tiffany, Sunny, Jessica, and Yuri, the four of you are participating. They'll probably ask about Sooyoung and Yoona's relationship, so be careful what you say. Sunny, keep an eye on the three of them."
Hyoyeon noticed that her name had been crossed out on the schedule and muttered to herself, wondering why she wasn't allowed to go.
The agent overheard this, glanced at her sideways, tapped her finger heavily on the table, and said irritably, "Ask those three girls if they dare to go with you during your dating days?"
Hyoyeon looked at the three of them in surprise upon hearing this, while Yuri, Jessica, and Tiffany shook their heads, trying not to laugh.
The manager was at his wit's end. Hyoyeon was originally supposed to go, but he wasn't comfortable with that, so he replaced her with Sunny instead, not daring to let that girl who talks faster than she thinks go.
She already had a headache, and now she's in a relationship, which is even more troublesome. She even found a high-ranking prosecutor. Her agent is so frustrated she could cry.
"There is a very important group activity in March: everyone will participate in the Healing Camp."
"This event will ask questions about relationships. I've prepared some answers for you. Take a look at them yourself, or think about how to answer them."
After the manager finished speaking, he glanced at Yoona and Sooyoung, and felt a headache coming on looking at the two big, goofy guys in the team.
"This year's concerts will be mainly held in Japan and China, so the schedule is a bit tight. Please remember to rest. I will try to balance out the smaller events."
After the manager finished speaking, he left. His mind was about to explode. Sometimes he wondered if Girls' Generation's fans were crazy. They especially liked to see them make a scene, and the more they made a scene, the more the fans liked it.
"Let's have lunch together, it's been a long time since we've had a proper meal," Xiuying suggested, and the other eight or so people looked at each other and agreed.
"Let's go eat Chinese food. I know a place that's really good," Jessica said with an exaggerated expression.
"I agree, I want to eat it too." Lim Yoona was the first to raise her hand in agreement.
Yuri and Sunny stared at the two of them for a moment, then looked at each other.
The nine people set off noisily in five cars, and they also brought a few male assistants, fearing that they might get stuck in traffic and something unexpected might happen. When choosing a car, Yoona jumped directly into Jessica's passenger seat.
Yuri quickly followed, worried that the two might start fighting in the car.
Everyone else who saw the unfamiliar car asked Jessica when she had changed cars.
They spotted the license plate on the car and immediately swarmed to get into the black BMW.
Sooyoung used her loud voice to drive everyone else away, and the group headed straight for the Shilla Hotel.
As soon as Jessica told her the address, which was the same as what she had in mind, Yoona immediately called to book a private room.
After parking the car, everyone wore masks and scarves and walked quickly into the hotel.
Inside the private room, a dozen or so people sat around a table.
Jessica was in charge of ordering the food, and she ordered all the dishes that Li Qingshan had mentioned before, resulting in a table full of dishes.
Sunny ordered a bottle of baijiu (Chinese liquor), intending to share it with Yuri. Hyoyeon was so envious she almost cried, but she had a schedule for the afternoon.
"Hey, Yuri, are you sure you don't have any plans today? Don't go on stage drunk again. Sooyoung isn't with you this time." Tiffany watched Sunny and Yuri studying the liquor.
Sooyoung covered her face, looking as if she couldn't bear to recall the past. "Don't say it. If I stop you again, I'll be a dog."
"Hey, don't be like that, it was just once." Yuri was embarrassed, because that time her fans posted it online, and she was seriously embarrassed.
Everyone at the table burst into laughter. Seohyun, being the most sarcastic, immediately pulled out the video and stared at everyone with innocent-looking eyes, asking, "Is this the video?"
"Hey, should I find the video of you kicking your high heels off?" Yuri retorted, though her face was already flushed even before she had drunk any alcohol.
