Chapter 41 Taking My Sister-in-Law to a Bar

Krystal watched as Han Cheng finished his phone call, and she felt a surge of excitement, knowing that her trip to the nightclub was now a certainty.

Just as Li Qingshan was about to see Jessica about to discipline Krystal, he quickly reached out and stopped her.

"If she's out having fun, just leave her alone as long as she doesn't go too far. Let her have fun. Han Cheng and I are here, so don't worry." After saying that, Li Qingshan winked at Krystal.

Krystal gave a thumbs-up with both hands.

"Just keep spoiling her." Jessica ignored the two of them and turned to chat with Yuri.

After all the dishes were served, everyone started eating. Jessica, like taking care of a child, filled Krystal's bowl with food.

"What other dishes are there? We ordered so much, we can't possibly finish it all," Yuri said, looking at the table which was almost overflowing.

"Cucumber salad." As soon as Li Qingshan uttered the words, he noticed Jessica's eyes instantly locking onto him.

"If you dare to eat tonight, don't even think about touching me," Jessica said coldly, still not satisfied, she kicked Li Qingshan again.

"I was just kidding," Li Qingshan said with a laugh, putting his arm around Jessica.

Krystal covered her face, peeking at her sister and brother-in-law through her fingers, while Han Cheng and Yuri weren't that close yet.

Yuri looked at Han Cheng and sighed. "What's wrong? Why are you sighing?"

"You won't let me touch the cucumber even though I didn't eat it?" Han Cheng said tentatively.

"So how do you want to touch me?" Yuri asked with a smile, teasingly looking at Han Cheng.

Han Cheng was about to continue when he glanced at Yuri's eyes and immediately changed his words: "Eat vegetables, eat more, look how thin you've become."

Yuri rolled her eyes at him, amused. She knew exactly what he was thinking. "You might as well say I've gotten darker."

"Look, your sister can hold her liquor much better than you. You two should drink less, or you'll be drunk before you even get to the bar," Li Qingshan said, watching the two sisters chugging alcohol like it was a beverage.

Krystal and Jessica put down their glasses at the same time, both looking at Li Qingshan with reproachful eyes.

"Drink, if I say another word, I'll be the one..." Li Qingshan quickly patted his mouth.

The meal lasted two hours. Han Cheng received a phone call, and after hanging up, he asked, "Shall we go? Or should we stay a little longer?"

"Let's go, let's take two taxis." Li Qingshan told everyone to get up, and then went to the front desk to pay the bill.

They took a taxi to a bar in Gangnam District. Two cars were parked near the bar, and the five of them strolled slowly toward it.

A young man was standing at the entrance of the bar. He waved to Han Cheng and said, "You should have told me you were coming by taxi. I could have called a car to pick you up."

Han Cheng hugged the man, then pointed at Li Qingshan and said, "This is my brother from Harvard, Li Qingshan."

"This is Liu Zhengyuan, my childhood friend," Han Cheng introduced to Li Qingshan, and the two shook hands.

"I don't need to introduce them, do I?" Han Cheng pointed to the three girls. "Let's go inside and talk."

"Wow." Liu Zhengyuan was stunned for a moment, but quickly realized what was happening and led the group inside.

Liu Zhengyuan led the group into the inner area and arranged for them to sit in the very center.

This location is more than a meter higher than the surrounding area, so people around cannot see what's inside.

After climbing several large steps to the booth, Liu Zhengyuan said, "Let's sit here. This is the best spot. Everything is ready. I'll go arrange for the show to start immediately."

The table was covered with various drinks, snacks, and fruit platters.

Liu Zhengyuan sent out a text message, announcing that the start time would be more than half an hour earlier than usual.

"I've arranged for a few security guards at the entrance to protect the girls," Liu Zhengyuan said to Li Qingshan. He could tell that Han Cheng and Li Qingshan had a special relationship.

Li Qingshan looked at him and said, "Thanks."

"It's alright, Han Cheng and I are very close, he even saved my life." Liu Zhengyuan said seriously, glancing at his watch. "I'll go out for a bit, you guys have fun."

Li Qingshan watched Liu Zhengyuan walk out of the booth and looked around at the surroundings. This seat could probably seat about sixteen people.

The three girls then completely relaxed, taking off their masks and coats.

Krystal lay on the sofa, only her eyes peeking out as she observed her surroundings, while Jessica clung tightly to Li Qingshan's hand, refusing to go anywhere.

Yuri and Hancheng started pouring drinks, and the group drank together.

The front of the booth is level with the DJ booth, which is already occupied.

The music rhythm shifted from lyrical to dynamic, with the opening track being Girls' Generation's "I GOT A BOY".

The bar was already about 80% full, and many people, upon hearing the music and checking the time, realized that the show had started earlier than planned.

Jessica and Yuri exchanged a glance and smiled at each other.

Krystal ran to the small platform in front and looked at the DJ booth. Several DJs on the stage also saw Krystal and gave her a Western gentleman's bow.

Krystal paused for a moment, then waved to them, her face full of curiosity and excitement.

Li Qingshan is truly a dance idiot.

Krystal returned to her seat, pulled Jessica and Yuri up, and ran to the small platform, where they leaned against the railing.

After Girls' Generation's song ended, it was followed by "Hot Summer" from F(x).

This amused Krystal, and she clapped at the DJ booth.

The three girls even danced a few moves together.

Jessica returned to her seat, pulled Li Qingshan up, and had him hug her from behind, gently swaying him.

Han Cheng is definitely a nightclub expert; indeed, Li Qingshan has saved him more than once in nightclubs.

Han Cheng received a phone call and went out for a while. When he came back, he was with two women who were wrapped up tightly.

When Jessica saw the two of them, she patted Li Qingshan's arm, signaling him to let go.

She approached the two, and it turned out to be Hyoyeon and Tiffany.

Yuri also ran over to the booth, where the newcomers Hyoyeon and Tiffany were taking off their coats.

Han Cheng and Li Qingshan leaned against the railing. This was the first time Han Cheng had met Yuri's two teammates. He waved to them and asked them to chat first.

"Yuri made a call in the car, worried that it wouldn't be fun with too few people, so she invited a few more." Han Cheng walked to the table, took two bottles of beer, gave one to Li Qingshan, and the two clinked bottles together.

"I also feel this is too empty. I don't really like nightclubs anyway, so don't worry about me. Just make sure they have fun," Li Qingshan said to Han Cheng. He knew that coming to a place like this wasn't really his thing and could easily ruin the atmosphere.

Han Cheng patted Li Qingshan on the shoulder and led him to the group. "Come on, ladies, let's have a drink together."

Yuri introduced Hancheng to Hyoyeon and Tiffany. Lee Cheongsan high-fived Tiffany and Hyoyeon, as he, Tiffany, and Jessica were from the same hometown.

Tiffany really loves nightclubs; she's the most uninhibited of them all.

"Didn't you invite your boyfriend?" Li Qingshan clinked glasses with Tiffany, who looked at him with surprise. "You knew about it too?"

"Call him over, and have him bring Taecyeon too. Aren't you all good friends and from the same hometown? It'll be more fun with more people." Li Qingshan smiled and pointed to her phone.

Tiffany was discussing things with her teammates when Jessica listened for a few minutes. She looked at Li Qingshan, who nodded to her.

Krystal ran up to Li Qingshan, her face full of flattery, and said, "Brother-in-law, I'd like to invite two friends over too, is that alright?"

"Are you an adult yet?" Li Qingshan asked Krystal, amused.

"They're all my teammates, and they're all adults." Krystal nodded repeatedly like a chick pecking at rice.

"Then call them. Tell me when they arrive, and I'll go out to meet them." Li Qingshan patted Krystal's head.

About half an hour later, Tiffany and Krystal received calls at roughly the same time. Li Qingshan and Jessica put on masks and went out to pick them up.

Li Qingshan led Jessica to the door and saw two men and two women standing together, all wrapped up tightly.

Jessica led Li Qingshan toward the group, saying, "Look here, let's go inside and talk first."

Li Qingshan smiled and nodded at the group. Jessica let go of Li Qingshan and took the hands of the two girls, leading them inside.

After the group entered the booth, a group of people gathered around to greet them.

Jessica and Yuri pulled Lee Cheong-san and Han Sung aside and introduced them one by one: "This is Sulli, Amber, who is in the same group as Krystal. This is Nichkhun and Taecyeon."

Li Qingshan exchanged pleasantries with the group, and they got to know each other. Then, they toasted each other back and forth.

Taecyeon was about to fetch a few bottles of good wine when Lee Cheong-san stopped him.

"No need to spend money, we're all friends, someone will pay for this today," Li Qingshan whispered to Yu Zeyan.

Jessica put her arm around Li Qingshan's and watched the two chat, occasionally joining in for a few words. All three of them spoke in English.

Li Qingshan didn't act like an angry young man, finding fault with Yu Zeyan whenever he saw him. That's something only children do, and besides, Yu Zeyan is a really good person.

The event wasn't at its most lively yet, so everyone was sitting around chatting.
