"Phew, finally got rid of those two guys." Lillie emerged from a corner closer to the bottom of the alley, her leather coat and red hair covered in dust and grease from the cramped space.

"I didn't expect the fat sheep to react so quickly this time, actually sending people down to the lower level directly."

She muttered to herself, pulled out a work cap from her pocket, put it on, and took off her reversible jacket, turning the blue lining inside out before draping it over her shoulders so that she wouldn't be immediately recognized because of her clothes and hair color.

Even if I took the shortest staircase, it would still take more than ten minutes to get back from where I was, by which time I would have long since disappeared.

Want to catch her? She's a sharp-tongued woman who even tricked the former political commissar of the Star Realm Army in this port. You're too green to be a noble from a small planet.

"Click!" A double-barreled electromagnetic pistol was pressed against the back of her head, while the nearby law enforcement officers glanced at the situation before immediately turning their heads away.

Well, perhaps she's going to fall into their trap this time.

The same trick can only be used once, and she only had one genuine blinding bullet from the Astronomical Army, which she obtained six months ago.

Liriel sighed, closed her eyes, spread her hands, and obediently gave up resisting.

On the upper level of Blackwing Harbor, Rhodes sat on a sofa in the VIP reception area, expressionless as he looked at "Quick Tongue," who was being held at gunpoint by the Reaper.

"Is there anything else you'd like to say?"

"Well, I was wrong. I should have realized that someone who could give up so many credits without even blinking an eye must be able to send his servants to various lower levels."

Lillie, who was thriving in Blackwing Harbor, finally ran into a brick wall, but she still had that same smile on her face from the Last Dance bar:

"I will return all your credit points to you. If you want interest, we can discuss it. However, the interest may not be settled immediately. I would also be happy to connect you with the owner of the Last Dance for free."

As for the principles she wrote on the note, sorry, all of Lillie's principles have one premise: that adhering to the principle will not prevent her from making money and surviving.

"If you bring any useful information, you don't need to pay me back the 500,000 credits, but if you don't..."

Rhodes didn't continue. Among these swindlers operating in the gray areas of the empire, some were indeed proficient in various black market transactions and intelligence trafficking.

If the other party can really get the information he wants, Rhodes doesn't mind being tricked this time. After all, being deceived this time is just a minor issue. But if it happens a second time, the other party will lose their head.

"Of course! You're my most generous boss!" Lillie immediately perked up when she heard that all those credits would belong to her.

When he saw Rhodes walk into the Last Dance, followed by Marines and Reapers escorting Lillier on either side, bartender Neil had long guessed that "Quick Tongue" would meet such an end, but he didn't expect this day to come so soon.

"Neil, order this gentleman a cup of Calicus's Regret."

Neil didn't do anything extra after hearing this. He just needed to follow his boss's instructions and let in the people who matched the daily code. As for who was let in, that was none of his business.

He took out a green, sealed bottle from a hidden compartment inside the bar, uncorked it, and poured the liquid into a stemmed glass. As he handed the glass to Rod, he pointed with his other hand to the passage behind him.

Rhodes wanted to hand the wine glass in his hand to Liriel so that she could lead the way, but she shook her head and smiled at him instead.

"Here's your drink. In this final dance, only the person who orders the drink is considered a customer."

Okay, since that's the rule here, I might as well follow it.

Rod swirled the wine in his glass, feeling the swirling liquid and the cool glass slowly absorbing the warmth from his palm, before walking into the inner part of the passage.

Unlike the bright white lights at the bar counter and in the lobby, the lighting in the corridor was a hazy, deep red. After walking through the long corridor, Rod finally met the owner of the Last Dance bar.

A person whose upper face was covered by a golden mask, making it impossible to discern their gender, sat in a seat. Their clothing was bizarre, appearing to be a mix of recycled Astral Army uniforms and Imperial noble attire. A genetically modified raven perched on their right shoulder, while a servant stood on the other side.

"Which area in this vicinity do you need intelligence on?"

He opened his mouth slowly, but what came out was not a pure human voice, but an electronically synthesized voice. It seemed that his vocal cords had also been replaced by a prosthetic implant.

Without needing to ask too many questions, the drinks Lillie ordered at the bar already told the other party the type of information Rhode needed. After Rhode revealed the location of Esperan's star system, the servant turned and left, entering a dark room.

A few minutes later, Rhodes began to browse the intelligence brought by his servant.

The list included various alien and chaos-related messages from nearby galaxies, but each message was marked with a different number of question marks in the credibility section.

The suspected Khorne followers' activities on the space station are probably completely unrelated to the Slaanesh followers on Esperan; if the two were to meet, they would likely fight each other.

Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, Ork...

The remaining intelligence was either obviously unreliable or located several star systems away from Esperan, so it wasn't very useful in either case.

It wasn't until Rhodes scrolled down to the section for undetermined intelligence types that a piece of information caught his eye:

Space scavengers claim to have sighted a white spaceship in a galaxy near Esperan, and that the spaceship appears to be still alive.

Could they be ghost ships that got lost in the warp and were thrown out of it, their metal corroded and mutated by the warp?

Rhodes continued reading the details of the intelligence report. The scavengers who wandered in space, living off various kinds of garbage resources, spotted the spaceship with their naked eyes, but soon the spaceship disappeared from their sight.

However, there were no traces of subspace travel or alien invasion in that galaxy, so the sighting was considered to be a hallucination they had in the vast universe.

A living spaceship, with no trace of warp travel, and yet connected to the Slaanesh—Rhodes could only think of one possibility.

The race in this universe that caused the birth of the Slaanesh generally bypasses the warp and takes the more convenient cosmic highway—the Webway.

The Adaling tribe.
