Rhodes sat in a luxuriously decorated suite, leisurely taking a sip of the last remaining Esperan sake in the cupboard.

He has been trapped here for almost three days.

A series of explosions echoed through the manor outside the luxurious residence, accompanied by chilling sounds of gunfire and screams.

With a loud bang, several explosive projectiles struck the floor-to-ceiling window of the guest room, shattering the already cracked glass into fragments that scattered across the high-quality textured floor inside.

Rod unconsciously tightened his grip on the wine glass, holding the silver stemmed glass even more tightly, before taking another sip of the sake.

He was reflecting on his unfortunate life.

What could be worse than being hit on the head by an object thrown from a high-rise building while walking down the street a few days ago, and dying on the spot?

Yes, after that, they inexplicably ended up in one of the worlds that normal people least want to travel to, a Warhammer 40k world that can be described as hellish in difficulty.

Compared to the vast majority of ordinary people in the Warhammer world who suffer throughout their lives and are then turned into nourishment for the warp after death, Rhodes is already considered an extremely lucky one.

The body's original name was also Rod. Although the Chinese and English names were different, at least it was a name that he was familiar with when others spoke to him.

As the heir to a merchant ronin dynasty, he was already at the pinnacle of aristocratic power in this world from the very beginning. Even though the merchant ronin dynasty had almost completely declined, a fallen camel is still bigger than a horse, and the planet Esperan alone was one of his private assets.

Even the planetary governors are merely servants of the traveling merchants who manage the planet. If even a single glance offends a noble traveling merchant, the entire family can be wiped out.

So Rhodes originally only planned to live a life of leisure on his remaining planets, enjoying himself and passing the rest of his days.

However, the chaotic rebellion that has broken out on this planet doesn't care about your identity. If you fall into the hands of those warp demons, the most likely outcome is that you will be killed directly or become their plaything, suffering a fate worse than death.

Rod tossed the glass out the window, then pulled out his automatic pistol from his waist and pressed himself against the wall, preparing to leave.

Three days have passed, and I reckon most of my personal guards are dead by now, otherwise someone would have come to rescue me long ago.

Pushing open the black and gold door that could only be opened from the inside, Rhodes peeked through the crack into the outer corridor.

It was far from ideal; it could only be described as hell on earth.

It seems the warp demon that was here before was a painter by trade, and it liked to use fresh materials on-site. The entire corridor was covered with its artwork, emitting a pungent, rusty smell that sent chills down one's spine.

A purple claw came straight at Rhodes' head, but his years of experience in defending against assassination came in handy. Rhodes rolled backward, dodging the fatal blow.

As he slammed the door shut, Rhodes' heart was still pounding. He had almost become part of that bloody artwork in the outer corridor.

The purple demon, half-human and half-insect, outside the door let out an excited hiss when its sneak attack failed.

As one of the many low-ranking demons under Slaanesh's command, its favorite pastime is playing cat and mouse. It waited for three whole days just to enjoy the thrill of hunting its prey the moment it emerged from the room.

The mantis-like giant claw pierced through the thick door, ready to snatch out its prey hiding behind it as the final piece of its puzzle in the corridor.

Rhodes hadn't expected the door to this luxury room to be so flimsy. Was it because the governor of this planet had cut corners, or was there something wrong with the Warhammer setting he had seen before?

Fortunately, a sharp alarm sounded from outside the door.

"Alarm! Physical damage detected. Activate weapon defense system."

It sounded like something was sticking out from the wall of the hallway outside the door, followed by the sound of bullets raining down like they were free.

The giant claw that had just pierced through the black door now became a burden to the demon outside. Rhode could see the giant claw, covered in bone spurs, twisting wildly, trying to pull itself out of the black door immediately, but the bullets outside were clearly faster than it.

The giant claw twitched and twisted for a moment, then fell silent.

"Go to hell, you low-level demon like you think you can cause me trouble?" Rhodes got up from the ground, spat at the giant claw stuck in the door, but then could only sit back down on the bed in the suite.

Even a low-level Slaanesh demon is enough to give me trouble. How am I supposed to escape from this planet that has been invaded by Chaos and return to my flagship?

Just then, a mechanical notification sounded in Rhodes's mind.

A series of games that Rod had played appeared before him, ranging from several famous MOBA games to single-player games from certain manufacturers, all lined up in a row.

If he could, Rhodes would definitely want to get some powerful stuff right now, like having the Ether Engine pump water for the four peddlers' hometown. But let's not even talk about whether his 1000 universal energy units can get him the prerequisite technology. Even if he could, he wouldn't be alive to start it up right now.

After three days, the food and water supplies in the suite had been completely used up. What he needed most now was armed forces to get him back to the flagship.

"You're the one." Rhode casually tapped on the panel in his consciousness and selected the game called StarCraft 2.

Putting aside other factors, at least the basic units of all three races have the most basic combat capabilities.

"Are you kidding me?" If Rod was drinking water, he would definitely spit it out.

From a combat perspective, the three races certainly have enough units to handle the predicaments they encounter.

The problem is, he still needs to go back to the flagship!

If he draws a human, he can explain that these are another personal guard he secretly recruited. If he draws a protoss, he can explain that he had a deal with these newly discovered aliens, since the trading license of the ronin allows them to have contact with aliens to a certain extent.

But how can he possibly get away with drawing the Zerg?

Did the esteemed wandering merchant master some technology and keep several creatures that resemble the Tyranids as pets?

It doesn't seem like it's impossible, but the subsequent troubles would be huge.

However, Rhodes couldn't think about that right now; figuring out how to get through this was something to deal with later.

"Let me see, the starting shop."
