As she spoke, Feng Lingzi sat up straight, her smile fading, and her face becoming more serious.

"Fellow Daoist already knows the difference between ancient and modern cultivators, and knows that the major sects of the immortal sects in this world all cultivate the Qi-absorbing Divine Channel."

What then is supernatural power?

Feng Lingzi paused, her gaze fixed intently on He Sheng.

"The high-ranking cultivators of the immortal sects have their own opinions. I, Feng, am merely a rogue cultivator. What I've heard is that... supernatural powers are the path to ascension to heaven!"

"Achieving the foundation of the Dao and acquiring the rudiments of divine powers is only the beginning."

To break through a realm, such as from the early stage of Foundation Establishment to the middle stage, one needs to refine another prototype of a divine power that is compatible with the prototype of one's own Dao Foundation Life Divine Power.

The same applies in the later stages of foundation building.

Once the three combined divine abilities have taken shape, they can be used as the foundation to break through to the Core Formation Realm.

As Feng Lingzi spoke, a hint of awe flashed in his eyes:

"If successful, one can borrow the power of the dragon and tiger embracing evil at the time of core formation to combine the three rudimentary divine abilities into a single divine ability seed, which will be planted in one's own golden core and evolve into unparalleled mysteries."

If it fails, then naturally one will die and one's spiritual essence will dissipate.

He looked at He Sheng and concluded:

"This Qi-cultivation channel is completely different from the Qi-refining and Void-merging channel that we cultivate. Every step of cultivation is extremely difficult, and breaking through is exceptionally dangerous."

However, once one successfully advances to a higher realm, the power they wield far surpasses that of those of us who have only refined Qi and merged with the Void.

Looking back now, if the subtle ripples of the realm were to advance further, they would touch upon the rudiments of supernatural powers, and this power should be some kind of descending form of the power of the Dao Fruit?

"Then what about 'attributes'?"

He vividly remembered that when Feng Lingzi mentioned the Qi Absorption Divine Channel last time, he said that this method would determine one's 'attributes' from the very beginning based on one's own destiny.

"This attribute is the foundation of the Qi-absorbing divine channel."

So-called destiny, spiritual root is only one of the manifestations, the fundamental aspect lies in the attribute.

I possess the spiritual roots of metal, wood, and water, thus I combine the attributes of metal, wood, and water.

But this is only the perspective of the Dao of Refining Qi and Uniting with Emptiness.

In terms of the supernatural power of breath control, the inherent nature of metal, wood, and water is different.

For example, water has six properties: it can be the true water that harmonizes all things, the icy water that is extremely yin and cold, or the deep water that reaches the netherworld, and so on.

The method for cultivating the Qi of the Divine Path requires, at the very beginning of cultivation, determining one's destiny and selecting a type of spiritual Qi from heaven and earth that aligns with one's own attributes to consume.

As a starting point, it connects with destiny, leading to enlightenment in one fell swoop.

He Sheng thought about it carefully for a moment before saying:

"So, everyone is born with different inherent attributes?"

That's right!

Take me for example. Although I possess the spiritual roots of metal, wood, and water, and appear to have all three elements, my primary destiny is actually [Qi Metal], and my secondary destiny is [Dong Water].

Seeing that He Sheng was listening intently and seemed very interested, Feng Lingzi continued:

"If you wish to have your fate determined, I can obtain a second-tier fate-prediction talisman for you. That is a unique talisman of the leader of my Nanshan Society."

He Sheng thanked him, and Feng Lingzi waved his hand and said:

"It's nothing. Anyway, for us Foundation Establishment cultivators, predicting fate is of little use. After all, we've already established our foundation and reached this level, so there's no way we'd even think about rebuilding."
