Erii: A Journey Through the Heavens Begins with Frilian
Chapter 35 1V3
Seeing his subordinates beheaded and killed instantly, the count flew into a rage and swung his sword to strike.
Lugner scratched his index finger with his fingernail, and a drop of blood spurted out, instantly condensing into a long whip of blood that blocked the longsword that was coming down on him.
Clang!
Without hesitation, the count launched a fierce attack on Lugner.
However, the latter parried them all with elegance and composure, while the already cracked blade began to chip.
puff!
The long whip of blood transformed into a winding blood snake, wrapping around the count's armpit, plunging into his back, and then emerging from his side abdomen.
Severely injured, the count's hand went limp, his longsword fell to the ground, and he managed to kneel on one knee.
"Why make things so tense? We could have sat down and talked properly." Blood flowed back as Lugner looked down at the count, whose face was full of resentment.
"Peace talks? I'm afraid that's not your real purpose!" the count retorted angrily.
"Since you let the three of us in, it means you can control the magical barrier," Lugner laughed. "You just need to dispel the barrier and let Lord Aura's army into the city, and I can spare your life."
"Wishful thinking!" The count exclaimed, displaying an air of unwavering resolve, ready to kill or torture anyone who dared to defy him.
"Tie him up," Lugner said, his eyes darting around, his voice lowering slightly. "Go to his room and look for any information related to the barrier. Don't alert him; Frilian isn't a soft-hearted person."
"Is she really that scary? She doesn't seem that bad," asked Dorat, the boy in overalls.
"Back then, countless demons died at her hands, but she was the first to fall, which is why we called her... the Buried Frilian." As Lugner spoke, a hint of primal fear flashed deep in his eyes.
He paused, then gave a smug smile: "Of course, compared to Lord Aura, we are but fireflies and the moon. Our primary task is to open the barrier."
The Lolita girl, Lina, looked out the window and said without any emotion, "It's getting dark. Should we make our move while they're sleeping?"
Suddenly, her pupils dilated like a cat's, and she shouted sharply in a delicate voice, "Get out of the way!"
On the opposite spire outside the window, a girl with flowing purple hair had a serene gaze, and her magic wand shimmered with an eerie light.
boom--
The demon-slaying magic transformed into a beam of light, instantly shattering the outer wall of the room.
The three demons dodged in unison, simultaneously channeling their demonic power in preparation for battle.
call!
With a flash, Hugh Tarker burst through the door, grabbed the injured count, and slipped, leaping out through the gaping hole in the wall.
sizzle!
Dorat flicked his hands, and ten sharp and hard magic threads shot out in pursuit.
Bang bang bang!
A defensive magical shield formed behind Shutark, blocking the attack for him.
With perfect coordination, Philon met up with the lightning-fast Shutark at the other end of the castle, intending to take the Earl to a safe area.
Lugner's expression changed, his face darkening as he said, "Chase them!"
Philon caused quite a commotion, and alarm bells immediately rang throughout the castle, with guards coming out in droves.
"The Earl has been kidnapped?"
"Is it Lady Frilian and her entourage?"
The soldiers were confused for a moment until the count's confidant appeared and took command. Only then did they rush to help Hugh Tarker and Philon, and send men to intercept Lugner and his two companions.
"I can't sense Frilian's magic; she's not nearby," Lina said suspiciously. "Could she have left the city?"
"In her eyes, we're not worth our time," Lugner said with a smirk. "She's probably gone to see Lord Aura."
"I was just wondering how to break this deadlock, and now look what's happened, she's gone looking for her own death." Dorat chuckled.
The heaviest weight in the hearts of the three finally lifted, and they began to wholeheartedly pursue Philon and his companions, determined to capture the Count alive and force him to break the barrier.
In their eyes, only Frilian posed a threat; Philon and the others were completely ignored. Perhaps Erii had attracted a little attention from Lugner, but the proud man did not take this non-magic girl seriously.
You don't know magic?
Those are the physically stronger soldiers~
Unfortunately, we demons are not only masters of magic, but also born with a powerful physique comparable to that of demons, as well as regenerative and self-healing abilities that humans cannot match!
As for magic that manipulates wind elements, it might just come from a one-time-use magical tool.
……
"Can she manage on her own?"
Shutark put the count down, his body still trembling violently from excitement, tension, and fear. The thought of risking his life to save someone right under the noses of three demons filled him with lingering fear.
The military doctor rushed forward to treat the count, who was still bleeding.
A group of heavily armored soldiers lined up to protect them, guarding the area with utmost vigilance.
Because the count was worried that the demons would harm the people in the city, he signaled to Hughtark and Philon to head towards the city wall on the edge of the city, far from the residential area and where the most elite city defense troops were stationed.
"Ms. Frilian? I believe in her, even if her opponent is Aura the Guillotine," Philen replied breathlessly, clearly a little nervous herself.
"No, I'm talking about my junior sister," Hughtark frowned, hesitatingly saying, "Those are three demons! Can she really handle it alone?"
"As for Miss Erii, there's no need to worry," Philon thought for a moment. After all, she was a confidante of Shichibō Ken, unlike the monsters and demons they had encountered before. "I guess so?"
Shutarck gritted his teeth, forcibly overcoming his fear, and was about to turn around and rush to the aid.
"Wait, our mission is to protect the Earl. If he falls into the hands of the demons, this city will be destroyed," Philen paused, his eyes resolute. "I believe in Erii. That child will create miracles."
As he spoke, the awe-inspiring ice cross spear reappeared in his mind, like an indelible mark.
rustling!
Lugner and his two companions leaped swiftly across the rooftops, causing all the arrows fired by soldiers along the way to miss their mark.
They jumped onto the city wall, only to be met by a wall of people.
Dozens of heavily armored soldiers, armed with spears and greatswords, formed a desperate defense.
"Wait a minute." Lugner suddenly raised his hand to signal.
He felt an indescribable sense of dread, as if he and his group had unknowingly stepped into some ominous territory.
"Just kill that bunch of scum." Dorat grinned maliciously, waving his left hand to release magic threads.
puff--
Blood gushed out.
Eh?
Why is my arm flying?
Dorat stared in astonishment as his entire left arm flew off, clutching the bleeding wound and looking around for the person who had done it.
"What's going on? The bleeding won't stop, and the regeneration rate is so slow!" Dorat's carefree smile vanished.
"There she is," Lugner said, looking at the watchtower behind the wall of soldiers.
Erii, dressed as a shrine maiden, sat atop the watchtower, her snow-white legs dangling and swaying, their smooth texture gleaming in the moonlight. Her delicate, fair feet, clutching slippers, swung about, seemingly amusing herself with boredom.
Her red hair danced wildly in the evening breeze, her exquisite face was free of makeup, and her calm and indifferent eyes exuded an undeniable noble coldness. Her eyes were pure and flawless, like an angel on a blank sheet of paper, yet also like an absolutely cold-blooded devil.
"die."
Erii said softly.
"Defense magic!" Lugner felt a chill run down his spine and roared almost simultaneously.
He and Linne retreated simultaneously, casually conjuring a magical shield around themselves.
But Dorat was too late; his nascent magic was torn to shreds by an invisible blade.
Puff puff!
After three cries, Dorat, who had been chopped into a human pig, landed with a "thud," staring in horror at the full moon hanging high in the night sky and the clumps of red hair fluttering in the wind.
He vaguely felt something pressing against his neck.
So light, so weightless, just like my own life that's about to end.
His pupils shrank to pinpoints, which terrified him so much that his heart pounded.
"wait……"
He hadn't finished speaking.
puff!
The head split apart and turned to ashes.
