Erii: A Journey Through the Heavens Begins with Frilian

Chapter 14 Erii deserves a 5-star rating!

The woman's voice continued.

"I am Amura, a northern elf. You are the child who received my token. By the time you hear my voice, I will already be dead."

"With this ring, you can unlock my treasure. Countless ages ago, a blade bestowed by the goddess saved the world, but it has been forgotten by mankind."

Whether it can be found, opened, or pulled out, I do not know.

"If you are unwilling to set off, throw this ring into the surging sea or place it in the fierce wind, and wait for the next person who is destined to receive it."

Then, the sound gradually faded away.

The people below were stunned, wondering if Erii had triggered some kind of trap or mechanism.

Frillie tilted her head. "You're interested? Don't believe me, it's most likely a scam."

"The far north, where one can touch the sky? You must be referring to the northern plateau," Philon said.

Frilian nodded. "The terrain shown in the magical projection is only found in the north, but that's where the Demon King's castle is located, the lair of monsters and demons. So, it might be a demon's trap, even though we've already killed the Demon King."

"Have you heard of Amura?" Philon asked.

Frillie shook her head. "Countless ages ago, and she's already dead, so it's probably a long time ago. Besides, the veracity of this story is questionable."

However, when she saw Erii's sparkling eyes, she immediately realized that all her persuasion was in vain.

This pretty little brat, still covered in drool, seems like he could really be tricked into going home with just a piece of candy?

As for whether they'll be minced after being tricked into going back...

"Let's talk about it later. We'll look for it if we have the chance," Frillie said helplessly, rubbing her forehead.

"Hmm, it's okay if you don't go." Erii slid down from the top like she was skiing, and her happy expression suggested she wanted to climb back up and ski again.

The three of them selected a few more items and then turned to leave.

The female mage accompanied them, intending to go out and call more companions in to divide the treasure.

After all, none of them could possibly eat a whole mountain of gold. Rather than gorging themselves to death, they might as well share the wealth, each using the money to realize their dreams, build their hometown, and enjoy happiness.

Upon hearing this, Erii was once again deeply moved and surprised.

Despite the existence of heinous villains in this world, most adventurers and ordinary people are surprisingly kind and generous.

These warm acts of kindness were like scorching swords, piercing through the heavy gloom in her heart, leaving countless openings, allowing her depressed, lonely, and lifeless heart to breathe.

As her first experience with adventures in different worlds, Erii decided to give "The Burial of Frilian" a big five-star review!

Returning along the same route, the four of them soon saw the light of day again.

It was dusk, and the orange-red sunset spread across the rolling mountains and forests like a tide.

"So beautiful~" Philon whispered.

"Second Brother, it's these women!"

However, a jarring shout rang out from not far away.

Then a dozen or so fierce-looking men swarmed around them, staring at them angrily.

"Did you see clearly?" asked the bald, fat man in the lead.

"Absolutely no mistake, how could I possibly mistake an elf?" The speaker was a thin, short man. "I saw it from afar; the leader and the others died a horrible death!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the group of men drew their knives and began hacking and slashing without saying a word. Their decisiveness and ruthlessness were extreme, clearly indicating that they were all vicious and desperate criminals.

whoosh-

An arrow shot out from the entrance of the maze.

With a "plop," it pierced the bald fat man's right eye, shattering his brain into pieces.

"You dare lay a hand on these three young ladies? You've got a death wish!"

"Brothers, let's take them down!"

"You lowlifes, I've been wanting to get rid of you for ages!"

Familiar shouts came from behind, and then a group of adventurers came running out aggressively.

The members of the Mad Beast Bandit Gang were leaderless, and each of them was caught in a dilemma and at a loss.

"These beasts killed William!"

"Avenge William!"

Shouts echoed from the mountains and forests, and another group of adventurers charged out with murderous intent.

Caught in a pincer attack, the ragtag band of mad beasts was wiped out in the blink of an eye, with not a single survivor.

The William they were talking about was the barbecue uncle from Erii's memories.

"Anyway, the treasure is just piled up here, it's not going to grow legs and run away. Even if someone tries to take it, how much could they take? So we brothers got together and decided to come out, have a few drinks tonight to relax, and tomorrow we'll call some villagers from nearby villages to help us move it!"

When Philon asked, this is how they answered.

……

The sun rises and the moon sets, and the stars fill the sky.

Compared to the tranquil night sky, the adventurers' camp, filled with singing and dancing, was as lively as a celebration.

The campfire crackled and popped, and the aroma of barbecue and meat soup mingled and filled the air.

"It's so noisy."

Inside the room, Frilian put down her magic book and walked out the door.

She glanced at the two people sitting side by side not far away, but did not disturb them. She sat down on the steps alone, propped her head up, and watched the adventurers laughing and chatting.

Someone was playing the piano and singing. The rough voice and the off-key tune made Frilian's thoughts drift back to those short ten years.

"Simmel, I think I understand now. The short lifespan of humans makes you more aware of the joy and happiness, and more aware of cherishing the present moment. The outcome of an adventure is important, but the process is equally important." She spoke softly to herself, as if to Simmel, or perhaps to herself.

"Miss Frilian, let's sing together!" the female magician invited with a smile, her face flushed red in the firelight.

"Huh? I won't... Oh, okay." Frillie was about to refuse, but the other person grabbed her arm and enthusiastically pulled her into the bonfire dance party.

the other side.

"Philan, I want to learn magic. Can you be my teacher?" Erii asked.

Philen hesitated for a moment, then said reassuringly, "Actually, Frilian checked before and there wasn't a single trace of magic in your body, so~"

In this world, magic is like an integral part of the local indigenous people's bodies.

Even ordinary people and warriors without any magical talent have some magical power within them, which they are born with, but the amount of magical power is not enough for them to learn magic.

Whether or not one can become a magician is basically a matter of fate.

For example, Philon possessed extraordinary magical power and talent from birth, and with the guidance of his teacher, Frilian, he was able to acquire such strength at the age of ten.

"Frilian deduced that it was related to the power of Words of Power, but she didn't know the specific reason," Philon said.

Erii was a little disappointed.

As a traveler who came from Earth, she knew perfectly well why she had no magic.

But she was not saddened by this.

Erii was already very satisfied to be able to come to this other world, to meet the wonderful and amazing Fou and Fou, and to see the endless mountains and the cloudless sky.

She dared not ask for too much; if everything were too perfect, she feared it was all just a dream.
