A Comprehensive Network: An Endless Adventure Begins as a Wanderer

A slightly salty sea breeze carried a faint, murmuring noise.

Cheng Yi was leaning against a bench at an open-air bar on the island, slowly eating a spicy fruit salad.

Having completed the magical cooking, he glanced at his cooking level progress bar.

Cooking Level: 5 (12/2000)

The objectives of this instance have been successfully achieved. And at this point, the instance time, which is also the duration of the Food Carnival, is only just past the halfway point.

Cheng Yi wasn't in a hurry to leave and prepared to enjoy the leisurely atmosphere full of exotic charm.

Just then, the elf guy passed by and started stuffing fruit salads into the hands of passersby. Cheng Yi took several portions and began to stroll around the island.

The central plaza of Fantasy Island was merely a cooking venue planned by the organizers for the event. Other parts of the island were dotted with roadside stalls of varying sizes.

These stalls are naturally unaffected by the wild activities, allowing you to savor the purest flavors of the multiverse.

After walking just one long street, Cheng Yi felt his battered taste buds receive a purification and spa treatment.

From common fantasy races like humans, elves, and orcs, to Hayato, liquid creatures, and air giants, the diverse array of tourists bustling about broadened Cheng Yi's horizons.

Of course, there were also plenty of people getting together in twos and threes to open blind boxes of lunchboxes.

Cheng Yi watched in disbelief as a dwarf offered him a bowl of Wasabi Dragon Seafood Rice. The warrior scooped up a large mouthful and put it in his mouth.

Then, unsurprisingly, his eyes rolled back, and as if his soul had left his body, he collapsed to the side.

However, this didn't have much of an impact on those around him, since even after falling, the dwarf's length, width, and height didn't change much...

Cheng Yi strolled around and found this small open-air tavern located in a secluded and hidden part of Fantasy Island.

It's very quiet here, with only a few cats curled up in a corner, dozing off.

Even though they were so sleepy they could barely keep their eyes open, they still lingered there, reluctant to leave, captivated by the tranquility and relaxation.

Cheng Yi ordered a special iced tea with a Grallion flavor from the bartender who was quietly wiping glasses behind the bar, and then found a bench to sit down.

Savor a salad, sip iced tea, gaze at the dim light of dawn, and quietly observe the flickering lights.

The significance of a comprehensive network lies entirely within this.

Before long, the cups and plates were empty.

The little cat on the side was almost fast asleep, probably dreaming of islands, delicious food, and revelry.

Cheng Yi bowed to the dolphin bartender, his figure gradually becoming ethereal.

[Settlement successful. Your rating for this dungeon run is: A spicy and wild adventure.]

You have gained 1300 cooking experience points (settled), 500 network disaster coins, recipe: Wasabi Fish Balls (blue), and a trainee chef incentive chest (blue)

[Wasabi Fish Balls (Blue): Stimulates the spirit, restores a moderate amount of stamina and a small amount of health, and provides a +2 bonus to Willpower save throws.]

Cheng Yi first learned the recipe, and then casually opened the chef's treasure chest.

A blue-quality kitchen knife.

Alright, the long dagger that was previously used as a makeshift kitchen utensil is now retired.

Cheng Yi nodded in satisfaction.

Leaving aside the legendary seven kitchen utensils, as an extraordinary chef, one should at least have a proper magical kitchen utensil.

After putting away the kitchen knife, Cheng Yi finally took out the book "Exploring the Secrets of Food: Chef's Adventure".

Without the slightest hesitation, he chose to use it.

The professional inheritance book transformed into a crimson stream of light and entered Cheng Yi's body. At the same time, countless invisible pieces of information were also imprinted in his mind.

[Inheritance activation successful. You have obtained the auxiliary profession: Culinary Adventurer (lv1)]

Cooking Adventurer

Type: Support Role/Chef

Current level: 1

characteristic:

1. Unknown Adventure

You possess the ability to simultaneously add multiple unknown ingredients to a pot, randomly generating an "Adventure Cooking" dish. The rarer and more numerous the ingredients, the higher the upper limit of the finished product's quality, but also the lower the lower limit. As your Cooking Adventurer level increases, the number of ingredient slots you can add increases, and there is a chance to trigger the "Great Adventure" effect—producing a unique legendary dish that is not found in any known recipe.

Currently available ingredient slots: 3 (based on Cooking Adventurer Level + half of Cooking Level, rounded up).

P.S.: Go all out on the ingredients, taste with caution. ———— First rule of the culinary adventurer

2. Adventure Roulette

Whenever you acquire an ingredient you've never cooked before, a temporary recipe will randomly appear on your panel. This recipe can only be used once; if not used and not saved, it will be overwritten the next time you acquire a new ingredient. Recipe quality is completely random. As your level increases, the number of temporary recipes you can save simultaneously increases.

The current number of temporary recipes that can be retained is 1 (based on half of your Cooking Adventurer Rank, rounded up).

P.S.: Explore the unknown, and keep your expectations in mind. ———The Second Rule of the Cooking Adventurer

After becoming a cooking adventurer, Cheng Yi did not stop, but focused his attention on the cooking adventurer level on the integrated network panel.

His cooking level has now reached level 5. According to the normal upgrade requirements for support professions, he should be able to upgrade the cooking adventurer to level 5 as well.

Support classes need to be leveled up to unleash their full potential; a level 1 support class doesn't provide much benefit.

[Do/Do you want to upgrade the Cooking Adventurer to Level 2? This operation requires 1000 Cross-Network Disaster Coins]

Without hesitation, Cheng Yi directly upgraded the Cooking Adventurer's level to 5.

This process consumed a total of 15000 Comprehensive Network Disaster Coins.

As Cheng Yi's Cooking Adventurer level increased, the rewards for each level also appeared before him.

1. Improvisational Adventure (Upgraded by one level)

You believe that true adventure is one that is improvised and left to fate. This grants your "Unknown Adventure" class trait an additional ingredient slot equal to your Improvisation Adventure level.

For each additional ingredient you add, the final magical cooking result will have both its buffs and debuffs amplified by (5% of your Improvisational Adventure Level).

P.S.: Life and death are in the hands of fate, taste is up to heaven! ————The third rule of the culinary adventurer

2. Adventure Preparation (Upgraded by one level)

Your cautious mindset makes you feel that even when taking risks, you need to be well-prepared and have contingency plans, which gives your "Adventure Roulette" skill the opportunity to choose recipes. However, at the same time, your cooking skills will decrease.

Each level of Adventure Readiness you increase allows you to add one more restriction or requirement when generating random recipes. However, your magical cooking bonus will be reduced by (Adventure Readiness level * 5%).

P.S.: Risks are manageable; be prepared for any eventuality. ——— Cooking Adventurer's Code, Part Four
